"Mind reading, an advance mental skill that gives him the ability to read minds of whomsoever, he wants. As composed as he seems on the pitch, he must be able to read minds of more than 4 people." Elias told.
The middle schoolers gasped astonished. "He… can read minds?!" Noah asked in disbelief.
"Yup, it's clear. For Seon Yul and him to keep up for this long, Ibn Sena is reacting to Seon Yul's mind and movements on the pitch, in every way possible. Also, he is reading every single bowler that comes for the over." Musa added.
"Are you freaking kidding me?!" Haris slammed his hand on the arm rest.
"That's the reason its fours and sixes every time. There's no sense of fear or caution." Alan realized.
"Right, Ibn Sena, the one looking the most innocent on the pitch is merging his 'Mind Reading' ability with Seon Yul's Pinnacle of Monarchy that might lead to 'ROARING' any time soon." Pedro informed.
"A what now?! Roaring?!" Mikael, Adam, Lou Wang and Orion repeated taken aback.
Kenzo, returning the tablet to Pedro asked, "These charts… do you have ours?"
Pedro glanced at Seles as he smiled, "Of course. We have entire journals on you."
Hearing the word 'Journals' the middle schoolers glanced at Cassiel, who rubbed his temple awkwardly.
"Cassiel's not the only data freak out here I guess…" Ezekiel thought with a gulp.
"Ouch…! They are loud…!" Suddenly Orion pulled his ear plug out of his ear looking up as the crowd rooted passionately.
"Here, it goes again big! No! the Biggest six of the innings! Seon Yul! What a blow! That's a towering six! It's gone way over the fence! What a way to end the over!" the commentators exclaimed.
"104 meters! He has raised Islamabad's flag high! Aiming it higher for the skies! That's a blasting 50 and more!! Islamabad United on 59/1 with the run rate of 12.25 as we proceed to the last over of power play…" Jones added, thrilled.
"Vice-Captain…?" Ezekiel whispered concerned.
Ibn Sena and Seon Yul with gleaming smiles patted their gloves together. A silver, misty, glittery aura surrounding the two. They shimmered in the light of confidence.
"Ah… that's pretty." Venus grinned charmed.
"Roaring… has been activated." Asim and Nagi announced. The two sides of the stadium erupted with contrasting reactions: Romeo smiled while Rauf frowned.
Seon Yul swapped places with Ibn Sena, and as he walked past Poseidon who stood as rigid as a statue, he asked, "Is something wrong? I'm not fond of the sea, so I shattered that illusion of yours, Poseidon Agiel. But I need you to assure me of one thing... I didn't shatter you, did I?"
Poseidon's expression grew more intense as he turned and walked away.
At that moment, Kazuna approached, patted Poseidon's shoulder, and walked past Seon Yul towards the umpire to request the ball.
Suddenly, Seon Yul froze in place, a shiver running down his spine. "He's that first year, right?" he wondered, on edge.
Isa exhaled, the atmosphere growing cold.
The umpire handed the ball to Kazuna.
Romeo watched them intently, then glanced at Rovan, who was wide-eyed and unblinking, as if he had been waiting for this moment for a very long time. "Are you that happy?" Romeo asked curiously.
Rovan shook his head slightly, his voice trembling, "No... I'm nervous. I played alongside Kazuna before I joined Islamabad. He's two years younger than me, but if he was a world record holder then, he still is now. When he earned that title, I just watched him, just like I will be watching him now. That huge gap between us... I wonder if I've even managed to close it a little bit...?" "So, Romeo, since I'm feeling nervous thinking about this, how strong do you think he will be?" Rovan asked, his dull eyes filled with excitement, anxiety, and curiosity.
Romeo suddenly patted his shoulder reassuringly. "I might not know much about him, Rovan, but I do know that you've become much stronger than before. There's no doubt about that. And, I hope you don't doubt yourself too."
Rovan, blinked surprised, soon breaking into a chuckle. "Of course." he replied, feeling uplifted.
"Senior Kazuna is bowling, look!" Adam pointed excitedly.
"Yeah, he really is. I'd better keep all of my senses open. Same goes for you, Damian." Cassiel pulled his journal out, immediately wiping his glasses.
"You don't need to remind me that." Damian replied equally ready.
Alan, Nagi, Ren, Senri and Haruf smiled at each other playfully endearing as soon as they witness the middle schoolers grow serious.
"Want me to show you Kazuna's capability profile?" Pedro asked.
Kenzo nodded lightly, handing the tablet back to him. A moment later, Pedro returned it, however, even before Kenzo could grab it back his expression widened in disbelief.
Seraph, Gabriel, Ezekiel, Cassiel, Mikael and Adam too looked at it stunned. "What… is this?" Seraph asked, with a gulp.
"Oh, I see some crucial changes on the field. It seems 'Colossal Kazuna' has taken hold of the ball to turn Karachi's tides now! Just by assuming how he'll perform, thrills me. I can't stop sweating! Haha." Jones loosened his neck tie.
"Indeed, this is to be expected when you have a juvenile world recorder ready to bowl, all of a sudden, after two years of calm. Black holes, stars or nebulas, I bet he is going to show them all today!" Maaz added.
Gabriel listening to them carefully tapped his ear plug wondering, peering at Zachariah and Alan he asked, "What is it about being a juvenile world recorder…?"
Hearing him, Rauf stared at Kazuna sternly.
Nagi, inhaling deeply, read aloud from one of his player statistics journals. "Kazuna Al Haris, a foreign exchange student, and a 1st Year High schooler, is the most resolute and tenacious cricketer out of all 14 genius rankers of the base, Age: 16, Height: 189cm, Weight: 71 Kg. He is an All-rounder. From balling side, he is an ambidextrous pacer, who excels in balling both swing and seam variations while from the batting side he is a right handed batsman countering pace deliveries too. His focused, firm and compelling play on the pitch has earned him the title of 'Colossal Black Hole' or in other words 'Colossal Kazuna'. He is ranked number '4th' on the base's genius's list. His abilities on the pitch are in the form of a solar system, complex and incomprehensible. He has also conquered 'Syncro' with Alan Rex Lorenzo and Senri ibn Daud from batting side." he enlightened.
"As for A juvenile world recorder, Kazuna, at the age of 12 before entering Pakistan cricket base played 'Youth Cricket Player League'. As a representative from Britain, he won the finals with his team due to his exceptional performance. He took 4 wickets while conceding the fewest runs, grabbed two catches, demonstrated excellent defensive fielding, and scored 62 runs, breaking the juvenile record second to Rauf." Nagi ended.
The middle schoolers gasped astounded.
"He didn't earn that fourth place spot without reason~" Senri chanted with pride.
"A Twelve-year-old…" Ezekiel repeated incredulous.
"That's right, the only reason he was second to Rauf was because of a 5 wicket haul. Else than, that he is at the peak of excellence." Evandor added.
Kenzo observed Kazuna's Radar chart which marked complete range 9 in every statistic. "Every stat is in perfect balance… is this even possible…?" he contemplated.
"Here, you go Kazu, Kazu." Aaron rubbed the ball and threw it to him.
Kazuna caught it, concentrating on his grip.
"Not feel like fighting back today, Kazu, Kazu?" Aaron asked, stressing on his nickname.
Kazuna peered at him seriously, "Nope, not until I break this 'ROARING'. It's unnecessary." Intensity enveloping his voice, his golden ranking badge engraved with a 4 glowed.
Aaron gulped, "Alright, I'll leave you be. You look frightening." he stepped back to his position.
"Senior Kazuna." Adam observed.
"Keep your eyes open middle schoolers." Rauf called, "After the top 3, there is the top fourth too."
Seraph glanced at Kenzo anxiously.
Alan smiled, "Colossal Kazuna."
Kazuna nodding at Isa rushed towards the popping crease thinking, "Agility, speed and reaction time, all will be improved since they have achieved 'Roaring' however… none if it matters does it?"
Ibn Sena tapping his bat on the crease, looked at Kazuna. His eyes squinting as he tried to read his mind, however, a sudden thump went in his chest, His forehead throbbing. Suddenly, he raised his hand asking for a time-out as Kazuna halted before the popping crease. The umpire gesturing for the ball to be played back again.
Kazuna's gaze sweeping across, Seon yul who looked back stern, he went back. "So he realized…" Kazuna thought, "I guess they can read each other's mind now."
Ibn Sena, on the other hand, blinked his eyes perplexed. "I can't…? I can't read his mind? Why…? Even when Roaring is activated?"
Kazuna, running across the 30 inched circle, stepped on the popping crease, whispering, "Spectrum Strike." A swift, vigorous, colorful aurora ball left from his grasp. It wobbled all the way down the pitch, it's type and kind untraceable.
At that moment only a single warning buzzed Ibn Sena's head, "Watch out!" Seon Yul thought.
Ibn Sena looked at the delivery perplexed.
Kazuna regaining his stance stood straight.
Reacting with 'Roaring's' ability enhancement, Sena reacted to the ball, "An inswinger…" he thought, stopping the ball with a dot return however, the ball a Knuckle delivery, was aimed outside towards the off stump instead. Unable to recognize the change it crashed the wickets as the bails went red.
Within cheers, a fort had fallen.
