28. Surprise after surprise

Repelling the Wei initial force surprisingly is not the end as the Wei kept on going by sending army and making use of small skirmish

with the battle is still fully raged on with the surprise of Lingxu himself keep on giving off strategy and making a name as the general in charge even managed to slay 3 other General excluding the one he kill the first time

with that report coming into the Royal Palace and time after time bring joy to Sei with the thing that is happening in the Royal Palace and his mother coming to the place

a month has passed by since the initial battle at which Lingxu led to defends against Wei relentless assault with time after time losing their man

"they sure are persistent" Lingxu said with clear annoyance reading the latest report of Wei moving around the area and needed to be exterminated

"Yue, send some man to bring those loot to the estate relay station on the nearest city" ordered Lingxu so that the loot they got from the enemy did not burdens them any more then they need to carry

after coming into the camp Lingxu also found that the General in charge is Hakurou of Qin, Mougou himself known for by the book art of war tactics that he always won

getting inside the HQ tent Lingxu Cusp his hand together greeting Mougou while Feng and Juton as they are only a commander kneel on one knees

"General Mougou, I will have my force ready to be used anytime you command them to move" said Lingxu to Mougou while he on the other hand nod and smile

"no need to be so stern younguns, lets take this slow and steady okay" said Mougou

with that the march towards the Sanyou Campaign began at the intended date Kanki has been ordered to become the Vice General in charge of the Right Wing army

while Ousen is also a Vice General and he is leading the Left Wing army, Mougou is planning to use his usual three pronged attack tactics sweeping Wei at the same pace from three different place

Lingxu also confused by this because he too is a General and haven't been tasked by Shouheikun to lead any army and just be called upon to the battlefield which is extremely weird

with that morning dawn upon everyone and Karou City is coming in view for the middle army led by Hakurou

the first day goes by hard and tedious with some loss and the army not being able to climb the wall of the city which even made all the soldier to be extremely annoyed by it

the next day Mougou ordered the same basic strategy which mean having everyone to just grind down the enemy slowly but surely not even minding the hard battle ahead

when in times a cart full of Leaf with some Oil in it are being pushed into the wall on the two side the Gyaku Hou and Heilong Army have the same Idea and Coincidentally use it against the enemy together at the same time

"it seems someone also use your tactics Yue" said Lingxu to Yue who has been seeing the Battle from their place

"it is basic tactics My Lord, and its no surprise someone come up with it, its not like my intelligence is the best in the world" said Yue with a hind of Sarcasm in her word

after the leaf are placed under the wall, a fire has start to Go up, and in the same moment a huge Siege Tower come into view from the Enemy wall perspective which seems to come out of No where.

different from the Gyaku Hou unit, The siege Tower from Heilong have been modified as to allow some archer on thr side to shoot trough making a clear passage and cover fire incase someone try to throw Oil or the likes at them

and with a deafening sound of thr Siege Tower gate opening and its bridge latched into the wall, Heilong unit infantry led by Feng charge with full power and Feng who seems like he is Dancing trough the enemy soldier making his armor Blood red from all the blood on him

in a mere moment Feng and 8 of his men managed to gain a foothold into the enemy sentry unit up in the wall, and Feng seeing that many more of his Men are flooding in start to prepare his rope while throwing it at his men too

"We will open the Gate" said Feng

9 Man are seen sliding trough from the top of the Wall, and killing anyone in their way towards the Gate mechanism, on the Gate and Bridge are being hold with huge chain guarded by some soldier which Feng managed to slay successfully and opening the gate with the main army flood in

all thats happen while the Gyaku Hou unit did the same thing on the other side with some of his men are sent to rise the Flag of Gyaku Hou unit above to claim their merits

"Gyaku Hou huh? more and more scary child are being born here and there, why can't everyone be normal like me" said Lingxu seeing the flag above

"My lord, if you with your intelligence from young age and blessed body who have strength rivalling a General is Normal, then many from this world would be an Idiot and a criple" said Yue with her usual Sarcasm

"Wait Yue, why are you being more and more sarcastic as you go older?" said Lingxu realising that after she got closer with Taidu, she has been so sarcastic towards Lingxu

"it is only your imagination my Lord" Yue said with a smile on her face

"Hm, something must've happens behind my back" Munbled Lingxu

while at it, Lingxu gave the order so that the Heilong unit fall back and let the main army clear out the rest as they will need to go to another place and scout ahead if there is a chance to took down the enemy as he see fit
