after blasting trough the army of Wei at last the Qin general Duke Hyou met with The great general of Wei Gokei and engage in battle "it seems I am too late, surround the duke and Gokei incase the Wei try something" said Lingxu and make the Heilong unit ready for any upcoming attack that might come after the duel is finished

with a fight that lasted for quite a bit and Duke hyou receiving quite a bit of injuries managed to slain the general of Wei Gokei and emerge victorious, with heaven defying roar of qin soldier who follow them, the army of Wei lost all of their vigor and hope, started to despair

'there should be another army that might come to rally them out, old man Ouki, if you don't move now, I am forced to kill all this despaired soldier, so you better make your move now' thinking that Lingxu look above directly at Ouki

"nfufufu, a young lizard gave me an order huh? well I have planned to do so anyway" said Ouki making Tou confused at to why the general said something like that, saying that, Ouki move out to confront the marching army of wei led by Haku Ki sai

seeing as Ouki stand in his way, Haku kisai decide to retreat and not engage in another blood bath with the monstrous bird of Qin, later that time Duke Hyou seeing that the army of wei decide not to fight, order the whole army to return home after their victory

couple of days after the victory in the dakan plain the reward ceremony of the battle are happening and with that Lingxu and the other leader sit inside of the palace to wait for their name to be called upon

first reward and the greatest one goes to duke Hyou as he was the one who lead the army and even managed to slay Gokei in battle

"next up Long Lingxu, managed to slay 2 of Wei general, and become the vagabond vanguard to help the army in the dire need, also bravely charge with 1500 men facing the frontline of wei giving duke hyou a chance to charge forward and even support the Duke to reach the Wei HQ are given rise to his nobility, 2000 gold and officially titled the 3000 Man commander of the Heilong Unit, and also be permitted to bring weapon to the royal palace and his army permitted to have their own flag" said the announcer

this in fact is not a reward but a return favor given to the Long family as his father was once a general that serve general Ouki for a long time, and also the Long family which is quite influental in their own so all the reward are not really that special its just for the sake of ceremony

Lingxu know this and did not bother to argue or anything, he knew that his title of the 3000 general at the dakan plain just a title that his father gave and not something that he own, so receiving this is like the Kingdom he serve acknowledge him that he is deserving of such title

"next up is Long Taidu of Hailong Unit, for slaying Shuka of Wei and assisting the Duke to force his way trough the wei army so that he can slay the wei general Gokei are promoted to 1000 man commander and be given 500 silver for his contributio"

"lastly..." the announcer even seems to be annoyed knowing how this even happens, while Lingxu and Taidu just chuckle by the antics of their companion

"lastly is Yue and Sulan, together manage to capture back the Gan castle while the army are fighting in the dakan plain, relieving some burden for the rest of the army and manage to kill the general defending it are risen to 300 man commander and Sulan shall be promoted to become 200 man commander" said the announcer annoyed

Yue and Sulan did so because the Gan castle are what you can say an empty castle, with the one in it are the injured and the general defending it is a mere 500 man commander, such cunning method to capture a castle and also reap the merit for it really did annoy everyone

after this, the Heilong unit unofficially are 5000 man army with all its lieutenant a titled commander and are given the privilege of having a last name which Lingxu give them the name of Ying as in Sparrow with this are the start of the story of the four sparrow that circle the dragon start

(with that going on, you may thinks that the promotion is too much or too exagerated but I think its reasonable by the fact that in the olden chinese it will be a ghost promotion just to make a noble not start from the bottom like how Mouten and Ouhon did, even if they are start from below, there are army ready to be deployed from their own family so giving Long family the same regard is make sense because the Long is in like an founding family with the founding emperor of Qin)

(10 chaps so far and I need to gather my thought on how the battle will go on from this, I plan to not overly rely on the main story and will give some touch for the background of the Long family but we shall see what I got in mind I guess, and thanks for the one who read it, it truly bring me joy seeing that someone actually bother to read this shit show)
