Kelling is still a thing?

I walked down the stairs trying to be as discreet as possible. Why? I don't know, I'm just 11, we want to do random stuff all the time.

I rounded the corner and King was staring at his phone in Cars 2 pajamas. Maybe I was overreacting, everything's fine, except I'm kind of in the mood to watch Cars 2 now.

I walked in and sat down.

"Hey," I unlocked my phone and checked my notifications, there was one from Julie. I wonder what she has to say now.

"Hey," He said and in the next 20 seconds, we were served dinner. I had time to check the message but not enough time to reply.

[Ooh, I think you're the closest to grounding King… right after Kelly, but are you sure he's all yours?] The text read. What was that supposed to mean? King and Kelly are done, he told me.

She was a contestant once upon a time, maybe she's just jealous.

We ate our food but lingered in the dining room for longer than usual.

"I'm not ready for bed yet," King was the one to break the silence.

"Me either," I admitted.

"Wanna watch a movie in my room? It isn't too far from yours," King asked.

"Do you have your 'problem' under control? That thing scares me." I asked.

"Yea, all good," He nervously chuckled and we left the table.

"Fun fact, you'll be the second girl to see my room," King said as we walked.

"Let me guess the first girl… Kelly?" I asked slightly sarcastically.

"No, actually. Madison, the first-ever contestant," He answered.

"Oh," I replied. There seemed to be this untouchable group of girls surrounding King; Madison, Julie, Lira, and Kelly.

They're frequently remembered and some had the luxury of being some of King's firsts.

"What movie do you want to watch?" King asked.

"Cars 2," I half-sang.

"Haha, very funny. Stop making fun of my pajamas," King said.

"I think they're cute, who's your favorite character? Lighting McQueen?" I teased.

"Yea…" King grumbled and I giggled.

"Don't be ashamed, my favorite characters are a bit childish too," I admitted with a sigh.

"Spongebob? Twilight Sparkle?" King asked teasingly.

"No, they're up there, but I like Coraline and Jack the Pumpkin King," I said and King gave me a side glance.

"Those aren't really childish… since you're a bit of a horror fanatic, why don't we watch Jigsaw?" King asked.

"It's a bit overrated, but nonetheless it's still great. Bag of Bones is one of my personal favorites." King looked at me like I'd started speaking gibberish. What? Stephen King is a horror prodigy and he needs to be recognized by everyone.

"Whatever you say Miss Creep-Feast," King muttered.

"Oh, that sounds awesome for my birthday. I could dress up as one of my inner demons, though I don't think anything like her exists." I started blabbering to myself.

"If you keep talking like that I'll call an exorcist for you," King said.

"Ooh, The Exorcist, that's a good one too," I giggled.

We got to King's room and I plopped down on the bed while he got the remote from the speakers they were sitting on. His T.V. was hanging on the wall with a few decorative shelves near it.

"Jigsaw?" He asked as he sat down. I was on my stomach looking up at the T.V.

"Jigsaw," I confirmed

"B-r-b, gotta pee," He said a few minutes after the movie started. I nodded, still totally into what was happening on screen, and he left.

Then his phone buzzed.

Now, I'm not the nosy type and usually, a buzzing phone wouldn't bother me, especially if a horror movie was on, but I felt compelled to look at his phone.

It had a message and the person was named 'thought you were the one' with a sad face, an open lock, and a broken heart.

I was curious, but he had a password on his phone. I told myself I was only gonna try 3 times and keep my face away from the camera in case it locks on my face.

And so I did.

First, I thought Kelly spelled in numbers but the passcode wanted just 4 numbers and Kelly's name has 5 letters so that's out of the question.

Then I thought about things he likes, like 2k 20, which is only 4 numbers/letters so I put it in and the phone shook.

Darn it.

Then I thought it might be Cars 2 because that also has 4 numbers/letters but I didn't think he'd put one of his favorite kid cartoons as his password. I could only think of one thing that has 4 letters that King likes.

I put it in and lo and behold, it worked! I could totally be a detective.

[I'm sorry for flipping out on you babe, I don't want you to be mad at me when we meet up later this month… forgive me? But that picture has me a little worried, what's up?] The text said and I lightly gasped.

Before I could do anything, I heard the toilet flush so I turned off the phone and put it back where I thought it was the first time.

"Miss anything?" He asked me as if nothing was wrong, and I guess to him it wasn't.

"Nothing important," I mumbled and cast my eyes to the T.V.

King lied to me! He lied to all of us! Why would they still be meeting up if they were over? Why did she call him babe?!

And to think I'd forgiven him! All men do is lie and cheat, and I shouldn't let myself forget.

I might be young but I ain't stupid. Said Meghan Trainor. But I totally agree.

I'm not sure what this chapter was and I do NOT think it gets better as it continues. Hah, sorry. Way too lazy to rewrite it.
