A Long Way To Go!

At Bong Soon's House, In the Bedroom

"AAAI, Bong-Soon-Aa, Kyung-Shim-Aa, I got the job at Kim-Cooperations, and more interestingly at the post of Head Of Department of Research and Development," Di-Hee said while jumping here and there like a kid. Excitement was visible in her voice as she got, her dream job, and that too at her dream company.

Bong-Soon and Kyung-Shim congratulated her for that and they all jumped, when the house shivered, they all stood there chuckling at their childish behaviour.

"So when are you going to start to be at your work?" Kyung-Shim asked curiously while she held her small hands in hers.

"From coming Monday," Di-Hee said while hugging her.

"Seems like I am a stranger here," Bong-Soon said while pouting. She also got pulled into the hug and the trio stayed in that position for a while.

That's when Boon-Gi entered the room and saw the besties hugging each other like there was no tomorrow. He cleared his throat turning the attention of the girls towards him. "Seems like someone got a piece of good news. Care to tell." He said while making his way towards the bed and sitting on the edge, with his eyebrows still in a questioning look.

"Di-Hee got a job in her dream company at the post of Head Of the Department of Research and Development. Gosh, you have to give us a party and that too a big one!" Bong-Soon notified while saying the first line to her twin brother and the second to her bestie.

"Sure my teddy bear and the party is on Saturday. Bong-Gi you are also invited." She assured her foody bffs and invited her childhood crush with a warm and charming smile that anyone would fall for.

"But, there's a big BUT, no drinks and alcohol. Only soft drinks." She said in a hurry to make no misunderstanding in the future at the party.

"Ohh, wait What? The party will be no fun without that!"

"Yes! Kyung-Shim-Aa is right. At least drink at you achieving your dream goal. It will be your first time experience." Bong-Soon said with dreamy eyes and cute hand gestures.

"Ya, first experience. And I want that to be. But not that day." She said innocently.

"If you all are done, may we go downstairs and have dinner?" Bong-Gi asked as he looked at the girls who were busy with themselves.

"Ya, sure." They said in unison, to which he face palmed himself.

The girls went laughing, leaving him all alone in the room. He chuckled and muttered under his breath, " Congratulations, my sweetheart." And marched towards where all others were.

TIME SKIP

"Bye! You rock Di-Hee. Stay safe and call me when you reach home. Okay?" Bong-Gi's voice was filled with concern which didn't go unnoticed by Di-Hee. She nodded and made her way toward her house, which was two allies behind Bong-Soon's.

While she was walking wearing her headphones and glueing her eyes on her phone screen she went past the scene of the murder of a woman. She didn't notice anything and went to her house. If she would have seen, she would've surely fainted there on the spot.

As she entered she was welcomed by darkness. There was pin-drop silence. She could hear her heartbeat in that peaceful environment. But what left her confused was that her mother never left the house without informing her.

As she stepped out of her bathroom. She felt a familiar presence in her room and she knew was that was. She quickly turned around and hugged her mother.

The mother-daughter scene was so cute and heartwarming.

"Congrats, my Barbie doll. Your father would be so proud to see his daughter work in her dream company on such a high post." She said as tears started to come out of her eyes. And of course, they were of happiness.

TIME SKIP

It was morning and another day passed in a snap. Di-Hee woke up by a call. And after seeing the caller ID she instantly sat on the bed and fixed her hair,(even though it was a voice call).

Ya, ya, it was of Bong-Gi. But she was never nervous around him but she just can't let her perfection-filled image go in the gutter just because she was sleeping.

"Hey! It's me Bong-Gi."

"Hey! I know I have saved your number. What's it?"

"Can you come to my consultation room at the hospital if you are free?"

"Yes, sure. I'll be there in 30 minutes."

"Okay, I'll be waiting."

He hung up the call. And at the speed of a flash, Di-Hee got into the bathroom. She came out after having a good shower of 10 minutes.

This girl is something she got ready in 10 minutes.

She entered the hospital and got straight to Bong-Gi's room. She knocked twice and waited for the answer, but no response. She again knocked but the same. So she decided to go inside and she pushed the door open. Well, she knew that saying to her to come to his consultation room he would go to his private room.

She entered and saw only a pair of clothes on the table, which was inside out. she kept them in a laundry bag knowing that the person who is a doctor now is still the same Bong-Gi she knew, who always forgot to keep his clothes in the laundry bag and keep them inside out if they were used.

She was so lost in her thoughts about her childhood crush that she didn't hear the knob of the bathroom unlocking. She heard the voice of throat clearing and she turned around only to find...

...Bong-Gi glared at her with pure disappointment. (What did you think?)

She lowered her head with shame. And on the other hand, he smirked seeing her reaction. Only if she would have seen that smirk.

He returned to his face full of disappointment not because she entered his private room but because she knew where he would be. He looked at the table to find it empty, then to the laundry bag to find his used clothes there. He was ashamed of his childish actions. He then looked at the watch to find there were only two minutes for the thirty minutes she asked for.

"You came early?" He asked with pure shock as he knew that she waked up late.

She just nodded her head.

"Why? I-I mean you sleep till late in the morning."

"I know but I didn't want to waste your time as you are busy ad on top of that a doctor too." She replied with full sincerity looking up at him.

"Oh! Yeah! I called you to give you this. Bong-Soon made this for you as a gift. Please accept it." He said remembering why he called her.

"Ohh! Well, there was no need to do so." She replied in a sweet tone.

"Girl you have a long way to go. Take it as a best-of-luck gift."

"Yeah, a long way to go." She said.

"And the longer one to your heart." She mumbled not audible to him.
