Ch-35: End or Beginning

The situation was in a total turmoil, as we ran further away from the huge debris of the Seireitei. Rukia looked at us with a thankful expression, and said her heartfelt confession, "Guys, Th-Thank You everyone, I had braced myself to face execution, but everyone's effort has given my life a new meaning, like a spark of light in eternal darkness.

I butted in her emotional talk, "What are you blabbering about, isn't it normal to help a friend in need, that is the significance of a true friend, there is nothing to thank us-"

Now she butted in my line, "Heh who is your friend, I am not, I was talking about everyone, excluding YOU, see you cannot even take a complement and start blabbering in between.

I looked shocked, hey my contribution to rescue you should be above 50%, or maybe a little low, I don't know, but at least show a little consideration. Ichigo, as my only savior in this embarrassing situation, supported me, "But Rukia, we couldn't have rescued you without his help, his help was so important for us against the Captains." 

Yoruichi said, "You are a fool to think that the Captain level Soul Reapers are only worth much, one you have defeated was the weakest among the bunch, you are not even capable to face Byakuya, for that, Ichigo! you will have to learn your Bankai."

Rukia and Renji were shocked to their core, "What nonsense are you saying, how can a black cat even know the importance of Bankai, it is the 2nd and final release of a Zanpakuto, and mastering it takes at least 10 years."

I swear I could see a tick forming on Yoruichi's head, as I facepalmed myself listening to Renji's talk. But before she could refute, we got to see the exit in front of us. Overjoyed, we increased our speed, and got the shock of our life.

Guarding the huge wall, was Toshiro Hitsugaya, and his Vice Captain Rangiku Matsumoto. Before we could apply break to our speeds, Toshiro took out his Zanpakuto and leaped towards us at breakneck speed. Ichigo dashed forward and clashed with him. I opened my lists of Kido to become perfectly ready to fight. 

As Ichigo slashed his shoulder, he activated his Shikai, "Hyorinmaru", he shouted, and a large dragon, fully made of ice dashed towards us. The dragon was a thing of beauty, as light reflected through it and made it look ethereal, Tobirama would be proud seeing such an attack. 

<System >: Bakudo #17 Tatsumaki: It conjures powerful whirlwind that can be directed towards the target, causing to knock opponents off their feet and create a protective barrier.

I butted in their fight and casted Bakudo #17 Tatsumaki. Huge tornado formed out of nowhere, breaking the ice dragon into pieces, but its power was a little short in actually stopping Toshiro. He increased his output which caused the tornado to start to freeze in its path! What the hell, will it look like a big ice statue of a tornado? or it will collapse?

Before he could turn it into ice as a whole, I casted my fire spell Bakudo #11 Kasai. It formed a small firestorm, but got easily devoured by the big tornado forming a fire tornado! A pleasant surprise I would say.

All the amounts of ice formed by Toshiro were evaporated in a second by such intense heat. And this time the attack hit him badly. He was burned to a crisp and shot towards the ground as his Vice Captain caught him midair. his body was still hissing and releasing a huge amount of smoke.

Meanwhile Ichigo and the others were lost in thoughts as they saw the combo of my spell, guess they are so impressed by this and have lost their words, so I coughed a little to break the awkward silence, "ugh, so shall we proceed towards the exi-" 

Our talk was cut short, as a huge amount of pressure inflicted upon us, it was Toshiro! He is about to use his Bankai. The surrounding and even the atmosphere started to turn into ice, and he stood up with his burned body, which to our shock, healed at speeds visible to naked eye. He raised his sword high and yelled, "BANKAI! Daiguren Hyorinmaru".

The chilling cold increased and caused us frostbites as a pair of ice wings formed behind Toshiro, he warned Rangiku in a low voice, "stay away from the battle" She nodded and left to a certain safe distance. It was just about time I complete all the Kido spells of 20s, so I casted two Bakudo spells at once, keeping the remaining two Hado spells for the next battle.

As I spammed two at once, my notifications ringed. Bakudo #16 Kōmyō, #18 Suiryoku.

<System >: Bakudo #16 Kōmyō: It emits a blinding light, that can be manipulated and used by the caster, having great offensive and defensive abilities. 

<System >: Bakudo #18 Suiryoku: It creates a huge amount of water, allowing the caster to create water based attacks, shields, and even manipulate nearby sources of water.

Huge amount of light energy formed in my hands, and they seemed controllable, oh my god, is this a watered version of Pika Pika no mi? I just want to test, so I went ahead and said the name "Ama no Murakumo" and turned it into a huge sword akin the one Kizaru used in 'One Piece'. Damn, It felt epic, and the look on Toshiro says it all. The effects of the second spell started to take effect as a huge amount of water formed everywhere, forming a huge wings made of water.

Oh Shit, it is bad news, why did this spell have to be of the element weakest against Toshiro's ability, but wait, I can use this for a greater effect. I grinned as the battle between my light form and Toshiro's Bankai was about to start.
