The next day, Jacob called Khalifa to ask her to come to his housewarming later that night.
"Already?" Khalifa asked as she sat in front of her phone and laptop, downloading all that she could to prepare for the inevitable information lost.
He might be academically slow, but he handled this really quickly.
She heard an embarrassed cough on the other side. "I can be efficient!"
"Khalifa, come on, please? Come to my housewarming, I'll order loads of food!"
He seemed very excited to finally have a legitimate excuse to call her over.
After a while of thinking, she finally agreed and he could hear Jacob's cute 'yes!' from the other line.
The problem was… since she moved to the villa, she had basically lived with the professor.
One could imagine it wouldn't be easy to tell him of her trip.
