chapter 14; lunch with the boss
Arya was still muddle headed throughout her walk to the cafeteria. She was trying to remember the flashback she had but to no avail. Just that the name Mi Rue and Aiden felt familiar, he felt familiar. 'geez what's wrong with me' she scolded herself. Later she got her food and sat down with mina and some workers in the group.
"wow miss Mei you're so pretty is it okay if we call you Arya when we're alone and not with that devil boss" one male worker asked "yeah sure I don't actually like formality" she replied with a smile enjoying the company. "hey dude how dare you call our boss a devil I've heard that the CEO/ Chairwoman of Jade's cooperations is the real devil, our boss is too kind compared to her no one knows if it's a male or female" mina said "oh mina it's said in their website that she's a female but no one dares see her face except her workers" another worker commented. "oh really well we have Arya who worked for her here so Arya how did she look like" mina asked Arya who had done nothing but eat and listen to their talks about her "I can see you don't love Arya here don't you know if she tries to talk she will be killed her workers signed a confidential contract dumhead geez mina read their website will ya" a worker scolded mina who then kept mute, sulking.
"anyway Arya I'm Nerria, omg I can't believe we forgot, you're a new member so we should properly welcome you how about a party tonight what do you say" the worker who scolded mina asked "well I'm up for it text me the address okay" Arya said and gulped down some juice. "i've been watching you eat Arya and gosh you're gorgeous can I have your number and are you single I'm Ron, single too" Ron said flirting. Arya tried to hide her disgust and muttered "okay" soon she was giving everyone in the cafeteria especially males her number.
Meanwhile someone was eating vinegar watching how vulgar those men were in flirting with Arya. He abruptly stood up "finally I thought you'd keep stalking" Jin cheered as he watched Mi Rue storm out of the office and followed him. Mi Rue got to the cafeteria "miss Mei you're an important person like us so you shouldn't be eating with them come join me and Jin Lan" he said trying to hide his jealous eyes and tone as he scanned all the men swarming around Arya making them back off in fear. Not understanding why mi rue said that Arya said naively "oh don't worry boss I like it he…" "it's an order" mi rue interrupted. Pouting her lips in disapproval she said "okay boss" and stood up to join them in their chair. When they were all seated and everything had sort of quieted down mi rue told her "always sit with the two of us if you don't I'll make sure you get punished with a lot of work". Jin Lan rolled his eyes 'too obvious dude's he thought.
Arya just shut up, she was feeling so weird around him and she didn't like it. It was just the first day, she needed to keep her guard up. She mentally reminded herself why she needed him 'for revenge Arya nothing more'.
Meanwhile everyone in the cafeteria was busy snickering on how Arya got to have that special privilege of having lunch with the Boss, girls were jealous because they've never gotten such attention and boys didn't blame him at all. I mean who could she was too pretty.
