Arc 1 - Chapter 7: Process And Changes

"So, can you get off? Not that I don't mind-"

"Great! Since you don't mind, then don't mind if I do!" Nyx cut Chikao off and quickly rest her head on Chikao's chest, wrapping her arms around him, but made sure not to get her hands buried underneath Chikao.

"But, I prefer if you be in your own bed, couch, whatever. Not on me." Chikao continues without changing the look on his face.

"And I prefer where I am." Nyx said with a cheer in her voice.

"On me or the couch?" Chikao has avoided the horrible routes, but there is still some that just a bit worse, but still bad enough.

Nyx thought about it and carefully think about her answer. "The couch." Nyx can't really lie to Chikao since she got the feeling he can see through all lies, making this very interesting for her.

"Okay, mind getting up for a bit. I will solve our little problem." Chikao said to Nyx, not daring to push her off him.

Nyx got up without a word, too curious to see what Chikao would do.

Chikao places his [Magic Circle] on the couch, then use the [17th Period Math Time Magic: Couch x 2], leading to the result of the couch to form an exact copy next to it on the right.

"There. Now we have two couches, one for you and one for me." Chikao lay back down on the same couch he was on. No way he was giving up the original one. Nyx can have the copy version.

Nyx look at this in disbelief, something she wonders if it will be a thing when anything related to Chikao. Because she saw something that only a rare selected few could do and here is a Magician that somehow has the power over creation itself; well, a small amount of it. Because she can briefly tell the [Magic Circle] was literally made out of pure formulas and even caused her a bit of a hard just for seeing it only for a few seconds. But, enough to see that Chikao had found a formula that shouldn't be accessed by a mortal, let alone a human.

"I'm going to rest. Please don't disturb me in the meantime." Of course, Chikao wasn't going to leave his guard down around Nyx. In fact, thanks to her, Chikao is high on alert and has secretly placed a [Magic Circle] underneath the couch he is lying. Ready for use right away if Nyx tries anything with him.

Once Chikao got comfortable and making sure Nyx wasn't going to do anything to him. He brings up his status window, to check if anything changes during the time he was talking with Nyx for hours.

Abilities: [Danger Intuition - Rank: Mid], [Precognition - Rank: Mid], [Numerical Precision - Rank: High], [Flawless Action - Rank: Low], [Numeromancy - Rank: Mid], and [Anti-Divination - Rank: Low]

Yeah, Chikao kinda expected this with all those math questions thrown at him and he had to answer fast as possible. However, Chikao wasn't even going to level up, because he has already experienced something wrong with him when he gained the 100% in the acting process a bit too fast instead of steadily rising it. Furthermore, it hasn't even been a month since he leveled up.

Therefore, Chikao will have to wait a bit longer until he levels up. Of course, he could check with [Numeromancy] to find the best moment to, but there is a limit to it and he can't predict the best time to level up, nor learning what would happen to him if he levels up so early instead of allowing his mind and body get used to the whole robot thing going on.

Plus, maybe that's the reason why Chikao's acting like a delinquent worked so well. It's because his body has long by then got used to having the [Low Sequence 9: Monster] and leveling up to [Low Sequence 8: Robot] must have caused some problems for a bit until everything is stable. Once things become fine, then Chikao will safely level up and just have to experience some small side-effects before things calm down.

Checking Nyx again, Chikao still didn't let his guard down, even with Nyx currently now sleeping peacefully on her own personal couch. Though, Chikao wonders if she is faking it, to wait for him to fall asleep. But, checking with [Numeromancy] just show that 1% of Nyx faking it. That 1% is what makes Chikao cautious; therefore, it looks like he will have to stay up all night.

The next day*

Chikao let out a soft yawn, then create a [Magic Circle] to hover over his body and use [17th Period Math Time: Me + Refresh]. Making a soft green glow covering Chikao's body for a few seconds before disappearing along with the [Magic Circle]. The bags under Chikao's eyes fade away, his mental statue declining has restored back to peak condition and his body completely well-rested, ready to do anything for the day.

"Morning, Chikao." Nyx greets Chikao happily and watching how fascinating he used [Human Magic] to somehow reinvigorate his mind and body, with the former is something nearly impossible to do by many, even those on her level. Yet, here is a human Magician doing it without any problem whatsoever.

"Morning, Nyx." Chikao wonders when she will leave, but either way, last night was plenty of time for him to create an entirely new [Magic Circle] for [Teleportation Magic] based off of the [Flying Thunder God] from Naruto series, which he only has a small set of memory-related to this anime/manga. Not even other characters outside of the main character. Luckily, the [Flying Thunder God] and all its derived versions are there for Chikao to take as references.

So, now Chikao has a working [Magic Circle] for teleportation alone. Honestly, he thought it would take longer to come up with the formulas to create it. Nonetheless, now Chikao just needs to work on the [Flying Thunder God] until he is proficient enough with it to be used in combat like how it's meant to be used.

Also, with [Bairong Style] included, then Chikao can see him being among the people who would be very hard to defeat unless they are specialized in space-time combat. Then, Chikao should have a better chance of surviving now. Well, later in a week or so, maybe longer, to get the [Flying Thunder God] working. Plus, he has to place a formula over the existing ones in the [Teleportation Magic Circle] to stop others from trying to replicate it as well as stealing the secrets within it.

Actually, now that Chikao thinks about it. [Bairong Style] is based on speed, power, and mixed martial art strikes. The [Flying Thunder God] would make it even more powerful; however, the latter two parts of the main core for the [Bairong Style] might need to get some change. Well, the [17th Period Math Time Magic] can take care of the power part. The mixed martial art strikes, on the other hand, will be a little hard to work with. Since all Chikao knows is how to punch, kick, block, and evade.

Chikao looks at the ceiling, trying to figure out anything that comes to mind; well, anything in his fragment memories. There are tons of pieces of different anime and manga to take from. But, most of them are not enough for Chikao to take reference from without ending up with something that might kill him by accident.

"Hey, Chikao." Nyx call for Chikao's attention. "You don't mind if I keep this couch, would you?" Nyx never had such a great sleep and on a couch of all things.

"Go ahead." Chikao replied for a second before go back to going through all his memories for anything to merge into the [Bairong Style].

"Great!" Nyx form a [Magic Circle] underneath her couch and send it to her personal domain. "Now, that's taken care of. What do you usually do in your free time or whatever you mostly do every day?"

"Train. Make some money for food." Chikao replied to Nyx's question, then back to going through all his memories for anything. So far, nothing good while some are good, but they are incomplete, not the full version so it wasn't worth recreating unless he wanted to test his luck in grabbing a bunch of fragment moves and put them together to form a mixed form of martial arts, that may or may not cause major shame in the name of martial arts.

"Oh?" Nyx wanted to see how someone like Chikao, who lives in this abandoned house, where there no power to turn the light on, no running water, pretty much just a house to stay in than the outdoors.

"Yes." Chikao stop searching through his memory and got a few sets of fighting styles to merge into the [Bairong Style]. "Please be quiet." Chikao said to Nyx, then turn on his laptop after using the [17th Period Math Time: Laptop + Recharge], making it so the laptop is now fully charged instantly. A spell that mainly used to charge the laptop without the need of finding an outlet free to be used in public.

"What's this?" Nyx ignores Chikao's request to be quiet as she looks at the laptop's screen with interest since she knows about the laptop. Just that she never once used it before.

"Just doing my job by providing service to my customers." Chikao had nothing to hide, spilling out what he has done as his job.

"How do you get your money from these customers, then?" Nyx knows about online payment, but had no idea how that work.

"From an ATM machine." Chikao didn't want to go too much detail into this part, since he doesn't have a bank account and just use an online App that acts like an online bank, then uses [Numerical Precision] and withdraw it from the ATM machine from that online bank. This way, he won't have to deal with speaking with other people to open a bank account in person. After all, he needs an address, which he kinda doesn't have since he is pretty much illegally living in this haunted house without permission.

"Really?" Nyx kinda knows about banks, but she doesn't know about this so-called ATM machine, that allows people to get their money.

An hour later*

"And done." Chikao finished today's quote to earn himself enough money and give himself some money to purchase a gun along with a katana he needs for one of the fighting styles, that require a katana to work, a try.

"I am so confused right now." Nyx blankly stares at the laptop's screen, where she literally watched Chikao typing so fast, that she can see afterimages briefly and so many things changes on the screen. To the point, Nyx wonders if she was watching a video or something.

"Anyway, I need to go buy something." Chikao shut down his laptop, then put it back into his suitcase and head out, to buy the gun and katana. Mostly the katana since Chikao might just use the [Exorcist Gun] after making some changes to it with the [17th Period Math Time Magic].

"Oh? What're you buying?" Nyx blinks and looks at Chikao.

"You'll see." Chikao said to Nyx.

A few hours later*

[17th Period Math Time: Katana + Sharpness] = Increase the blade's sharpness even further.

[17th Period Math Time: Katana + (Rust + Resistance)] = Increase the katana's resistance from being rusted.

[17th Period Math Time: Katana + (High + Quality)] = Increase the katana's quality.

[17th Period Math Time: Katana + (Mana + Channeling)] = Attach the ability to channel [Mana] through the katana.

[17th Period Math Time: Katana + Duration] = Increase the katana's durability.

[17th Period Math Time: Handgun + (High + Quality)] = Increase the handgun's quality.

[17th Period Math Time: Handgun + (Mana + Channeling)] = Attach the ability to channel [Mana] through the katana.

[17th Period Math Time: Handgun + (Disintegration + Characteristic)] = Attach the ability to cause any projectile fired from the handgun, to cause anything to decay and break apart.

"There we go." Chikao looks at his two new main weapons, which will be used for a long period of time before being replaced. Hopefully. Because he spends some good money on these two through illegal connections. "Time for some tests." Chikao ignores the look Nyx is giving him as he places the sheathed katana on his left hip and draw out the [Modified Handgun] from the right thigh holster and toss it to his left hand.

Chikao level the [Modified Handgun] at the tree in front of him, then fire the first bullet, firing a bullet covered in a deep crimson coat.

The tree burned down to ashes instantly, not affecting anything but the tree that was hit.

Chikao nods his head at this, then toss the [Modifed Handgun] to his right hand to put it back into its holster. Afterward, Chikao draws out the [Modified Katana] from its sheath. Then, a white [Magic Circle] appears on Chikao's back.

This isn't really a new fighting style and pretty much something used in case the [Flying Thunder God] wasn't an option at the time. Plus, it's straightforward that it was a lot easier to recreate. Neither does he have to worry about having to merge it into the [Bairong Style]. For Chikao has recreated the [Sword God Style] from an unknown series his memory doesn't have the name in, other than just this [Sword God Style] alone, which is enough for Chikao.

Furthermore, Chikao realized he didn't technically need another fighting style to be merged into the [Bairong Style] once he recalls how there is the [Flying Thunder God Slash]. A technique combing the user of a bladed weapon and the [Flying Thunder God]. Allows the user to teleport to the marked target, with the weapon in hand, to instantaneously deliver a swift, devastating slash to the opponent. Therefore, Chikao, once again, overthinks it, but due to this, he discovers a brief weakness to the improved [Bairong Style] used against powerful supernatural foes.

If he doesn't have a marker of the [Teleportation Magic Circle] placed anywhere on the target, then the [Flying Thunder God Slash] would be unavailable to use. Therefore, the answer lies with the new [Magic Circle] he created on the way back home, with Nyx continue asking him questions, which he answered with a short amount of words.

The [Sword God Style] focuses on an all-out attack, the objective being to cut down the opponent before being cut down. With the heart of the [Sword God Style] being the [Longsword of Light]. It is basically an immensely powerful and quick move that is highly lethal and is achieved when one becomes a [Saint Class], whatever that is. This is achieved by everyday training by swinging down the sword with all they had until the tip of the sword reaches the speed of light itself. Killing an ordinary person with [Longsword of Light] is like using a boulder to crush an ant, basically a server overkill.

Of course, Chikao included a visual effect by creating a blinding light too. Whenever he uses the [Longsword of Light]. Sadly, not the [Light Element]. Just plain flashing light anyone could do with a flashlight.

In other words, the [Magic Circle] gives Chikao the ability to use the [Sword God Style] to its peak aka the [Longsword of Light] without having to physically train in the [Sword God Style].

So, Chikao strike in front of him with no target in mind, and a blinding light appears. Luckily, [Numeromancy] is a big help in creating and changing the formulas in the [Sword God Style Magic Circle] along with [Flawless Action]. Otherwise, just using the [Longsword of Light] alone would have serious harm Chikao, for his body wasn't built over the years of training with a sword. Along with being blinded by the bright light.

Now, if Chikao needs to take on weaker opponents. The normal [Bairong Style] together with [17th Math Time Magic] would be plenty enough, while using the [Modified Handgun] for long-range attacks in case he facing opponents that could avoid him in midair or moving too fast for him to catch up. Of course, that's if Chikao manages to tag them with the [Teleportation Magic Circle], then he won't need to use the [Modified Handgun]. He still be limited in how many bullets he could shoot.

In total, Chikao has created three different [Magic Circles]. [17th Period Math Time], [Flying Thunder God], and now the [Sword God Style]. [Bairong Style] really didn't need any [Magic], but it's tied with all three [Magic]. Therefore, all of them tie together to make them work. Including the abilities, he has from this weird system. Chikao seriously needs to up his game before even consider facing powerful beings in this world. With gods walking among the mortals.

"Okay, I must say. Anyone weaker than me would regret it right away the moment they fight you." Nyx thought about it for a moment. "Well, not just weaker than me, but those with fewer combat experiences and don't have some special abilities that overcome their combat experiences like you. However, I have no idea how much combat experience you have, but I'm sure you have never fought a god before." Nyx raises an eyebrow at Chikao. "Unless you have?"

"No." Chikao didn't like the way Nyx is now looking at him. "And I rather not face one any time soon." Chikao held onto the katana, for he may need the [Sword God Style] soon and reactive the [Numeromancy] and [Numerical Precision] along with [Flawless Action]. Seeing how his [Danger Intuition] is warning him of the danger he is in. However, the [Precognition] didn't activate on its own yet; therefore, it's not the time for Chikao to take any action just yet.

"Well, better now than later, right?" Nyx smile at Chikao and amused to see him already got his guard up instantly. This just made Nyx more eager to want to see how well he fares against someone like her while just playing around.
