Nightmare

12-year-old Kerrie wakes up from a nightmare, and seeing a dark figure standing in front of her. She screams, and the figure disappears, leaving a white blur behind her. When Kerrie regains consciousness, she is in a strange room, with a blanket covering her, and a bright light shining down on her. She bolts upright in bed. Her heart races. She's not sure where she is. She doesn't remember how she got there. And she feels disoriented and panicky.

Kerrie realizes this is not her world. Her first thought is that she has to get back to her own world — but she quickly realizes that she can't go anywhere. She's trapped in this strange place, and she needs to figure out how she got there and where she can go from here. She doesn't understand what's happening to her, or why she's having these strange memories and new abilities, but she's determined to find out. She decides to keep her cool and act like nothing's wrong, because she doesn't want to arouse anyone's suspicion. Kerrie tries to get her bearings, but she can't remember her past life. She also can't remember her family, her friends or what she studied in school. All she can remember is that she's been summoned to the other world.

At first, Kerrie is startled by her new surroundings, since she can't remember anything from her last life, she wonders if she's had some kind of accident, or if she's simply lost her memory. She can't think of anything to say to ask for help.Kerrie is scared about what's happening to her. She wanders the strange halls, trying not to look like she doesn't know where she is. The bright light persists. She is afraid to approach it.

Kerrie meets a stranger in her strange new world, and he tells her that she's been summoned to the other side. She's confused, but decides to ask him some questions. He tells her that she was summoned because she's the only one who can defeat the demon lord who's been plaguing the other world. He tells her that she's the only one who can save it, and that she has to go back and finish what she started.

At first, Kerrie can't understand what all the fuss is about. But soon she realizes that there is a whole world of demons and magic, that she must return to defeat a demon lord, and ensure that no one will ever invade that world again.

It seemed that everything from before popped into her head, as if she had a memory of it before. Kerrie had taken over the hero's body in another world it seemed.
