In this moment in time, Nepherage (while looking like an anachronistic biker girl), was holding onto the wrists of Zhen Ren Fa's flunkies, Ao Tang and Fan Ying, in order to prevent the two of them from taking Zhen Liu's weaker cousins as hostages.
Perhaps they didn't need the help, but it was better to do something preventative than it was to just sit back and let it happen.
Nepherage had observed their lord's family for long enough time now, to understand that Zhen Hai and Zhen Yue would definitely be thrown off of their game if they had to think about their cousins' well-being.
Needless to say, the two of them would probably end up horribly injured in the result of such an event.
Thankfully, that didn't come to pass.
