President Gonzalo can only nod his head. The tiredness and weariness are clearly written on his face. It has been already months since they started the revolution, and the end seems not in sight. Piles of death and destruction litter across the island of Cuba and the conflict is still on stalemate even to the success of the new year's offensive.
Civilians and innocents have been dragged into this conflict and it has just caused more suffering and deaths. President Gonzalo and General Gomez knows this would what happen when they started the revolution, but directly witnessing it and thinking is a very different matter.
