Just Rancher trying to Live his Life

In a city dark and grey yet colorful and rich in History a Young Man By the Name of Albert is seen walking through its streets.

"My god my head feels like shit"-Albert

He had drank way too much the night before. Drinking away his sorrows was a terrible habit of his ever since he came out of a terrifying third-world country on his travels.

"Sweet Mother of god kill me already, My head is banging more than Metallica Concert"-Albert

As soon as he said those words he blinked and he found himself somewhere he... wait a minute... now where was he?

Was he hallucinating?

Was he dead and this was heaven or was it hell?

Nothing he could think of could describe his location.

Rocky floor with dead corals the size of him surrounding his general area. Strange-looking panels and a bubble-looking structure with windows and a door that hung open and occasionally slammed shut.

The whole place was looking wild yet neat. He noticed though that he was standing on a platform, as he looked down he saw squares with a metallic look, carrots of which he hadn't ever seen grow in such wild environments and... he squinted his eyes... as he saw a pink blob hop up and down towards one of the carrots. It appeared extremely adorable and even more so when it ate the carrot and... pooped?... a pink stone in the shape of a rhombus.

He walked down the rickety wooden stairs as he edged towards the pink blob with his hands finally upon realizing he saw instead of his bare hands saw a pair of gloves. He felt something heavy on his back as he grabbed it and pulled out what seemed to be a... vacuum cleaner?

Having observed the item in his hand he realized it was connected to a backpack on his back by an extremely elastic tube that seemed very stiff and sturdy internally. He looked around and saw many different things, many of which seemed to remind him of a game, and the vacuum gun... thing? Reminded him of the game even more.

He decided to sit down and rest hoping that this wasn't a dream.

"I better not be so drunk that I've traveled to the Far, Far Range"-Albert

Laying down on the ground and looking at the night sky which seemed to pass by more slowly he could catch a glimpse of his appearance in the window, he looked just as he looked when he was sober, just a regular man with brown hair well-defined jaw and body yet what pulled on his attention was his tanned skin and that his hair was turning a blueish turquoise.

He slowly got up as he walked towards the window, carefully looking at his appearance before he saw another blob behind him, however, this one had what appeared to be antennas and wings, rather than its pink counterpart it had a pale blue coloration and a glow that dimmed and shined at intervals.

This confirmed it, he was in another world but it was one he was quite familiar with, Slime Rancher, and it appears he was... replacing Beatrix in this Story.

But looking at the slime behind him, he was mesmerized by it, and before he knew it the sun had come up and the slime had... disappeared in front of his eyes, the eyes that he now could see had strange colors. Yellow colors seemed to flicker every now and then in his Pupils.

"No way... there is no way... for the love of God let this not be a dream!"-Albert

He Yelled in denial, he loved the slimes from Slime Rancher and wished he could get one in life, and now? He was Here! He could finally make his farm of Slimes!

Realizing this Epiphany he ran out of the ranch and into the free space where he could view the other Slimes, he could see pink slimes, and when he continued to the next open area he could see Tabby Slimes! And Rock Slimes! And Largos! He could see the literal thing he wished to see yet could never find.

He had played the game before and having played it he remembered there was a Gordo near the location which he was and the way he could find it was a... small module with a happy face usually found on well-fed slimes with four arrows pointing up, down, left and right.

Following the trail, he could see a Large pink slime the size of a Hippo, the bridge he walked on to get to the Gordo was rickety and old as he walked through, he didn't know that if he lost all his health he would appear back at the Ranch but he was betting on that feature. Quite the dumb idea but hey, he traveled through various countries both wealthy and poor, safe and dangerous. What could death do to him anyway? He wasn't afraid of death at the least.

At least that was before he had entered this world, he didn't want to leave, if he did... then how could he play with the little guys? He couldn't. Now as he got closer to the Gordo he realized one mistake of his. He didn't have food to pop him! He also wished to start getting money from selling plorts.

Smacking his fist into his open hand he decided to collect plorts and sell them off to get enough money to make a garden. A Corral was enough to help him at the current point so he strutted back to the open region that also had a cave, He took his Vacuum gun and sucked in three pink slimes and four Rock slimes. He rushed back to the Ranch and looked towards one of the squares, the was a medium rod-like extension with a big green button on it that once he pressed, a menu appeared in front of his eyes.

A happy slime makes for a happy rancher.

Nothing beats the taste of food grown in your own backyard.

-Coop:

Keeping chickens in their place prevents the uprising.

-Silo:

You can't take it with you when you go, so put it in storage.

-Incinerator:

Don't need it? Burn it!

-Pond:

Water you going to do with this?

Surprised by the sudden appearance of a menu he accidentally pressed the Coop, suddenly a small see-through wall appeared in front of him and surrounded a nest in the center, with the walls coming out of the in-between of the metallic outline of the square.

Disappointed at his action he decided to make the best of it, putting inside the Coop a Hen Hen and a Roostro he found and stopped from getting eaten. He remembered something and he wanted to try it out, that being the Slimepedia which was an essential part of a rancher's life.

He wanted to check out the Bubble-shaped house in the center of the ranch due to the reason he wanted to get some shut-eye. Opening the door he saw a well-lit room with a bed and an empty bookshelf, as well as a door that he noticed, led to a bathroom.

Looking at his ranch before closing the door and sitting on the bed he finally exclaimed before he passed out from exhaustion.

" Hopefully... this ain't a dream..."-Albert
