Chapter 5

"Sir, please!" I hear nurses chase me down. I run to the exit and see the car leave.

I examine my hand and the trail of blood it was leaving behind. Luckily the bleeding has stopped. My phone? Shit, I left it in my room. "Sir, you can't run around the hospital while you're bleeding like this." A nurse scolds me as she quickly wraps my hand with a clean cloth and escorts me to my room. After my treatment, they gave me a shot for my relaxation, and in mere minutes I fell asleep.

"Jung," A familiar voice calls me out.

"Jung!" It's getting louder. I turn around and see someone, but their face is blurry. "Kim Jung, this is the last chance, be careful." The voice echoes in my head.

"Wait, who are you?" I tried running after the voice when I suddenly woke up.

I look around, and I'm still in the hospital. A sigh of relief escapes my lips. Soon I ate my dinner, and after a few hours, I was finally discharged. Minki came to pick me up. "Change into your clothes mean while I'll get some paperwork done," He says, and I do just that.

If I'm reliving these two months, when I get into the car, Minki will tell me that Yeong got the role he was auditioning for. I pace through the hospital that I painted with my blood this morning. I get a few looks from the staff members. This incident will be all over the internet tomorrow if it isn't already. I get into the car and as we are driving back home. Minki starts, "Hey, you know-" But I cut him off. "Yeah, I doYeong got the part didn't he?"

"Yeah, how did you," I shrug my shoulders in response.

The dream I had replayed in my mind on repeat, last chance, be careful.

Back when Minki first told me about this news, I ignored it because I was so focused on myself and my stupid problems.

Soon we arrived at our old apartment, "Listen, kid, please rest well and call me if you need anything okay?" he says, and I nod him goodbye.

I take the elevator, and waiting for my floor, my mind wanders to what I'm going to do next.

Should I walk in and confess and see what happens next?

No, that will be too weird. Also, my main focus should be to protect him and not to put my feelings on him.

I enter the password, the door opens, I put down my wallet and stuff, and a familiar warmth wraps around me.

I'm home.

I see some pots on the stove while the TV is playing in the background. I walk around to look for my Yeong when suddenly I see someone from the corner of my eye. It's him. I turn around, and the sight sends shivers down my spine. He has tear-stained checks with a knife in his hand.

"NO!" I charge toward him without thinking twice.
