Just an Ordinary Angel on DxD

It shouldn't have been like this, it was supposed to be an easy job, observe, write it down, done, easy money, and back to my normal life. But nooo... a random god just happen to be bored, and decided I would do for some entertainment. . . It wouldn't even have been that bad if not for my very overbearing boss. Now I have to stay in a world full of crazy bulls***, and the worst, on the very town right in the middle of everything. I just hope to stay hidden a little longer. +++++++++++++++ Had a few ideas while writing my first story and didn't want to discard them, so I made those, fics of their own. Don't wait for this fic, I'll focus on my first one before coming back here.

Power Scaling

This will be mostly about some lore and what I'm going to change so...

+++++++++++++++

𝔹𝕖𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀

+++++++++++++++

To me, power scaling in DxD, especially in the earlier phases, was more of a "social status" than a proper measure of strength since it didn't consider the individual's weapons, artifacts, training, intellect, strategies, and proficiency in what they may have at their disposal to fight.

It's very standard for someone of a lower rank to beat someone from a higher one due to a specific situation.

They only counted raw power or power shown to make their official ranks. Of course, there's always speculation that someone's actual rank is higher or lower, but circumstances don't allow for a proper measure.

+++++++++++++++

𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒 𝑢𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑠 (the names might not be used in the story).

𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆: unaware of the supernatural or have no combat capabilities. (not necessarily anyone with no powers, but someone that can't fight any "sup" at all).

𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: particularly weak Stray-devil, Creatures with almost no raw power or combat abilities, and Humans with very advanced training.

𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Low-class Devil, Two-winged Fallen, 1st-grade Magician, Stray-exorcist, Beings with little raw power. (that "Beings" part is for any other "faction" that doesn't have a rank system, like heroes and youkai)

𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸-𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Two-winged Angel, 2nd-grade Magician, trained Exorcist, Beings that are at the limit between this and the next rank (because of the natural affinity with holy energy, the average angel is slightly stronger than their devil/fallen counterpart).

(it never made sense to me that fallen angels can still use holy energy despise being fallen, so now they are limited to using the "light" element instead)

𝗠𝗶𝗱-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Middle-class Devil, Four-winged Fallen, 3rd-grade Magician, talented Exorcist, Beings with considerate raw power.

𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸-𝗺𝗶𝗱-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Four-winged Angel, 4th-grade Magician, Senior-exorcist, Stray-magician, again, Beings at the limit of power for the rank.

𝗨𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Lesser-high-class Devil, Six-winged Fallen, 1st-grade Wizard, church's town Overseer (the church's titles will have a little more significance in this fic), Beings with a great amount of raw power.

𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸-𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Six-winged Angel, 2nd-grade Wizard, Combat-priest, Miracle Child, once more, Beings that hit the limit of this rank.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Eight-winged Fallen, 3rd-grade Wizard, Cardinal-deacon, High-class Devil, Beings with a huge amount of raw power.

𝗠𝗶𝗱-𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Sorceror, Cardinal-priest, Eight-winged Angel, Low-level Dragon, minor Deity, Lesser-ultimate-class Devil, Beings with considerably more raw power but not at the peak of the rank.

𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸-𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Ultimate-class Devil, Cadre, Ten-winged Angel (by this point, the natural holy energy is not as effective), Gran-exorcist, Great-sorcerer, High-level Dragon, Greater-deity, Beings with tremendous raw power, capable of leveling mountains.

𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Satan-class Devil, Seraph, Twelve-winged Fallen, legendary Devil-slayer, Magical Grand Master (MxM), Great-youkai, Dragon King, Minor-god, Beings with enormous magical power, capable of destroying whole cities in an instant.

𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Super-devil, Archangel, Heavenly Dragon, God/Buddha, Magic-king, Beings with terrifying raw power, capable of causing massive destruction in the world.

𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: Primordial Being (on the biblical God level), Dragon God, the Beast of the End "666", Beings capable of destroying the "dimension" itself.

𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮-𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿: the one True Dragon, capable of breaking the very "reality".

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿: from outside of the DxD dimension, can be from ordinary to omega-tier. For example, (𝑺𝑷𝑶𝑰𝑳𝑬𝑹) Regalzeva, a god from ExE, broke the dimensional gap and effortlessly killed Great Red, or the MC of this fic, that crossed the void from the infinite dimensions. (no, the MC can't kill Great Red)

𝗨𝗻𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱: can't properly be ranked due to certain circumstances, an example would be someone with a mind-reading ability that can't be blocked and even affects beings stronger than them, the person herself is not strong nor have that much raw power but their ability works on beings from ordinary to above omega level, so how to rank this person? it's basically a rank for beings that can't fight but have useful power.

𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀: being from different mythologies and folklore divided into several groups.

𝐵𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑙 / 𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑘 / 𝑁𝑜𝑟𝑠𝑒 / 𝐻𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑢 / 𝑆ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 / 𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑡𝑖𝑐 / 𝐸𝑔𝑦𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑛 / 𝑃𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑎𝑛.

𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹𝘀: beings of desire, they are the literal manifestation of "sin".

Devils can be:

Pure-blooded, Mixed-heritage (one or both parents are reincarnated-devils), Half-devil, Reincarnated-devil, or Stray-devil.

They are divided into three main factions.

𝑂𝑙𝑑-𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑛 - devils that are unsatisfied with the more peaceful course of the new government and want to return to the more "traditional" ways of the underworld.

𝐴𝑛𝑡𝑖-𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑛 - a group of devils that adopted a more diplomatic solution to attend to the devil's interests, preserving more life and avoiding conflict.

𝐸𝑥𝑡𝑟𝑎-𝑑𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑠 - devils not involved with the current political scenario of the underworld, they aid neither faction.

𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀: beings created by the biblical God as his army of light and guardians of humanity, the literal manifestation of "pureness".

Angels' sub-species can be (this is something very few apart from angels and fallen know is a thing, most of the supernatural think angels separate themselves only by the number of wings):

Seraphim - the ones closest to God, Cherubim - guardians of heaven's gates, Ophanim - all-seeing eyes and judges of the worthy, Virtue - common angels that performed various tasks for heaven and Cupid - closest ones to humanity and guardians angels.

Angels are "mostly" united in one faction.

𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑛 - using God's system, angels manage humanity, the church, sacred gears, and the Christian/Judaic/Islamic deceased.

𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻: created by the biblical God but rebelled against him, they are the literal manifestation of "corruption".

They lost the ability to use holy energy and the right to be called by angelic sub-species so they categorize themselves by the number of wings, being those:

Two-winged up to Eight-winged, Cadre - Ten-winged, and Twelve-winged Fallen Angel.

The fallen are "mostly" united under the same organization.

𝐺𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑜𝑟𝑖 - it's objective it's mainly towards research, more specifically, God's sacred-gear system and the sacred-gears themselves.

𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀: biblical God self-proclaimed "greatest creation", representation of God's image and ideals. Humans' greatest quality in the eyes of the supernatural is their adaptability and that they are capable of bearing offspring to any magical race.

To not let his "children" unprotected, God made the sacred-gear system but Merlin (if you don't know... most famous mage), somehow, manage to create his magic system that humans could use, Those two factors, made humans even more desirable in the eyes of the supernatural.

Humans sometimes came to be extremely powerful, but apart from individual groups, they have three main factions.

𝐶ℎ𝑢𝑟𝑐ℎ - following God's will some humans dedicated their lives to helping others physically or spiritually, some individuals with light affinity were trained to be exorcists people that would hunt and purge the darkness from the world.

𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑐 𝐴𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 - humans capable of using magecraft, banded together for a common goal and to avoid forced recruitment, most of the magic associations want only to further their studies on magic.

𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑜𝑒𝑠 - individuals from all mythologies that rose rapidly in ranks and accomplished astonishing feats of power. They are the so-called humanity Champions.

There are half-humans for practically all races, half-devil, half-angel, half-god, half-fallen, half-dragon, half-neko/kitsune, half-vampire, half-werewolf... you get the idea.

It's a lot easier to count what can't reproduce with humans than what can.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗸𝗮𝗶: all the creatures from the Japanese mythology, are so diverse that creating a rank system for themselves seemed like a waste of time, so they only separate the normal youkai from the Great-youkai.

The major youkai factions are separated into regions.

𝐾𝑦𝑜𝑡𝑜 (𝑊𝑒𝑠𝑡) - led by Yasaka, a Nine-tailed Fox.

𝐾𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑜 (𝐸𝑎𝑠𝑡) - led by Nurarihyon, a mischievous spirit that enjoys all kinds of pranks.

𝗚𝗼𝗱𝘀/𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮𝘀: a manifestation of energy, as they are born, created, or ascended, they take a concept for themselves and become the physical manifestation of that concept.

The pantheons created factions encompassing all creatures originating from their people or region. those factions are:

𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 - Christianity & Judaism / 𝑁𝑜𝑟𝑠𝑒 - Germanic / 𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑘 - Greco-Roman / 𝐻𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑢 - Hinduism / 𝑆ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 -Japanese / 𝐶𝑒𝑙𝑡𝑖𝑐 - Irish-Celtic / 𝐸𝑔𝑦𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑎𝑛 - Ancient Egyptian / 𝑃𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑎𝑛 - Zoroastrianism.

𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝘀: beings made of power, are often greedy, lazy or arrogant. Dragons don't have factions, instead, they are divided into categories.

Low-level, High-level, Dragon-king, Heavenly-dragon, True-dragon.

Dragons are feared through all factions and almost all the high-level ones got killed, captured, turned into a sacred-gear, or sealed.

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀: a manifestation of all negativity given form, after most of their kind was driven away, the remaining ones absorbed the negativity generated from the last battle and evolved into Demons, while the ones sealed in the 'nothing' became void beasts. All the first devil bloodlines came from demons.

𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 - they wanted the dimension to return to chaos, for this, they formed an army to destroy all existence and bring the 'end'.

𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀: a manifestation of all positivity given form, each primordial made a personal realm and gave origin to their pantheon. The majority of the primordials didn't create factions and opted to simply observe their realms.

The primordials were given many names during their long lives but these are the ones of their choosing:

Yahweh ("God") / Ímer ("Ymir") / Khaos ("Chaos") / Brahmā ("Buddha") / Ame-no-Minakanushi ("Minaka") / Danu ("Dana") / Atum ("Rá") / Ohrmazd ("Ahura Mazda").

𝐿𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 - seeing the other primordials, the second strongest primordial wanted creations of his own, but the Beasts got in the way, so he created an army and drove all 'darkness' to the 'nothing', with the Beasts gone, he could create 'life' and share it with the other primordials.

𝐾ℎ𝑎𝑜𝑠 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑎𝑑𝑒 - the clash of positivity and negativity between 'light' and 'darkness' created a creature that decided the dimensional gap would be a good home, unfortunately, the strongest primordial was using it as its own, and didn't like having its rest interrupted.

Seeing that it couldn't kill this being, the primordial set off to the lower realm trying to find ways to kill that creature, the result of that labor was the creation of the Khaos Brigade, beings from all races and mythologies, including traitors from heaven and Grigori, united under this primordial.

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: beings that come from out of the DxD dimension or realms.

𝐸𝑣𝑖𝑒 𝐸𝑡𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑒 (𝐸𝑥𝐸) - a realm where Evie and Etoulde reside, those two sides are in constant war with each other, a war that destroyed most of their realm.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱: simply the planet you happen to be on. All worlds have pre-established "rules" on how natural and unnatural phenomena operate.

𝑆𝑢𝑏-𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑠: a section of space-time isolated from the rest of the world with slightly altered rules, a pocket dimension. Ex: the rating games.

𝑅𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑚𝑠: the same concept of sub-spaces but on a bigger scale. Ex: the Underworld, Heaven, Asgard, etc. Realms can have their own set of rules but generally follow the world's pre-made ones.

𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑙-𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑𝑠: in the same space, there can be multiple worlds overlapping each other, we call them parallel or alternative worlds. You can spend a lifetime searching for a difference between worlds and not find it, in other cases the difference is so big you may think they don't belong in the same universe.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲: fate, destiny, timeline, luck, cosmic coincidence you may call it however you like, but worlds follow a "theme" and the ones that follow the "theme" to the letter are called 𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙𝙨, all alternative worlds came from main worlds and are created by any deviation from the central theme. A group of main worlds and their variants that follow the same "theme" is called Universe.

𝐷𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑏𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑟: if you travel often between worlds, you'll notice how some are harder to enter then others, well that's because the themes we shall say... don't "like" to mix that much, so when a theme deviates so much it becomes a new thing a barrier forms surrounding the worlds following that particular theme, thus creating a universe.

𝐷𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑔𝑎𝑝: holes appearing in the dimensional barriers, allowing worlds from different themes to influence each other and even for things to naturally enter other universes.

𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲: the infinite universes.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: the veil in which all existence resides.

𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗱: all the empty space in reality. Ex: the void between universes and worlds.

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲: outside of reality, where reside the O̷͔̘̓̅͜͠u̶̧̬̦͉̿͂̕t̷̨͕̰͔̒͑̅͛͡ͅȩ̵͍͎͐̾͗͝r̶̢̳̥͓͎҇͑͛͑ Ğ̸̖͓͔͈́͢͠ǫ̴̠̭̰̯̓̉̕d̸̢͉̖̑͊͞s҈̢̯̥̠̰͎͂̏̑̑̏͠ and ҉̷҉҈҉̛҉̨҉̆҉̑҉̂҉̥҉͙҉͍҉𝗔҉̸҉͞҉̢҉͋҉͇҉̤҉̷҉̶҉͠҉͜҉̄҉̔҉̫҉𝘇҉҈҉͝҉̨҉̀҉͑҉̐҉̯҉̷҉̴҉҇҉̢҉͌҉͇҉̝҉̮҉𝗮҉̵҉̛҉͢҉̔҉̖҉ͅ҉̷҉҉҉͠҉̨҉̎҉́҉͑҉̙҉𝘁҉̷҉͞҉͢҉̅҉̥҉̷҉̴҉̛҉͢҉͊҉̙҉͕҉̪҉𝗵҉̴҉҇҉̧҉̌҉̭҉̷҉̸҉͞҉̨҉̏҉̠҉͖҉̭҉𝗼҉̵҉͞҉̡҉͆҉̚҉̰҉̜҉͕҉̷҉҈҉͡҉̢҉̉҉̔҉́҉̟҉𝘁҉̶҉͡҉̢҉̇҉̣҉̷҉̵҉͞҉̢҉̔҉̈́҉͍҉ͅ҉̬҉𝗵҉̸҉͠҉̨҉̋҉̟҉̬҉̬҉̷҉҈҉̛҉̢҉͌҉̦҉͖҉

I'm not even with 10 chapters on my other fic, and I'm already writing more, I'm hopeless, but I don't want to forget these ideas later. What to do.

Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
