Choosing the captain

The eleven of them including Juliet went out of the class to discuss the plans of the competition.Those whose name were called were super excited,except for Susan who looked worried.

Juliet stood in front of all of them and told them what the principal told her including the fact that she was the captain.

Juliet was about to continue with her speech when someone spoke up " who said you could be the captain,although you were the one the principal first informed about the competition,they doesn't make you the captain ".

The person who talked was Kate.Kate had always been jealous if Juliet because all the nius were over her.When she heard that Juliet was the captain she couldn't accept it.

The reason Juliet made her a part of the team was because she was brilliant and with someone like that on the team the chances of th winning could increase.

"What are you talking about ?, Juliet is the most appropriate candidate to be the captain,she scored all questions on her exams right".said Andrew.

" So for all we know she might have cheated,although the teacher cleared this week can't be too sure" retorted Kate.

"If Juliet isn't the captain who do you think is more appropriate then" said Emmanuel.

"Who else better than I should be the captain" replied Kate with a smile.

Thus whole time Juliet did not say anything as she watched them talk.Finally Jason solved the matter "how about this,let's have a mini competition here,the first person to finish with the highest number of correct answers win".

Everyone nodded as they were fine with that decision.

Andrew went out of a while and came back with some questions." This questions are the previous ones that pass competitors answered..

You guys should be time conscious and able to answer the question. Both Just and Kate began answering the question.

Soon half an hour passed bye and the both of them were still on it but that wasn't for long as Juliet stood up the next moment announcing that she was done.

Kate wanted to catch up with some she quickly finished hers and said she was done as well.

The rest of the team brought the answers and marked their works.Soon they were done making it and unfortunately for Kate,Juliet scored the highest.

Kat could not believe it as she started yelling" there must have been a mistake somewhere,check it again",she simply couldn't believe that she lost.However the results showed that she lost.

Finally with the urging of the others she admitted defeat and allowed Juliet to me the captian.
