??? Pov:

This day was special. I planned it to be so after all. I even gave my best friend and his wife some of my finest paintings yet. It was the least I could do for them as their long-time friend. After all..

They are going to die today.

Scene Change:

I looked around the area. I was in a black forest where the ground is charcoal in colour and the air is poison to my lungs.

"W-why?" A weak voice calls to me. I look down and see my best friend. The one who always looked after me and stood by my side even when I was on death's door.

"To reach my goal. The goal I had since I was even able to make one." I quietly respond. Internally, my agony feels unbearable my friend's face is distorted with tears and blood.

As I see him open his mouth. Yet not a sentence comes out. Only a word. A word that will forever follow my nightmares.

"J-Janumaahh." His voice is a whisper in the cold, harsh wind. Then the sounds all around me stop.

The cry of the animals no longer exists, the laughter of my friends will never happen again and my place in the hearts of sorcerers will dissappear.

'I will be lonely. For the rest of my life.'

"Haaaahhaaaaa." I let out a sigh filled with my frustrations and mixed emotions. Eventually, something happens.

Water slides down my face. 'It's raining.' I note.

'ITS RAINING.'

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE MiSSION FAILED." An old man screamed out. His face ripe with anger. "THEY WERE ONE OF THE BEST SORCERERS WE HAD." The man in front of him tried to speak but in an instant the old man already disappeared. The area changed from an office to a bloody battleground.

The old man moved quick as a fox, his steps as soundless as mice till he saw IT. The mangled and bruised corpse on the floor breathless. His lips quivered.

He quickly moved to another location a forest or what once was a forest. The tree's scorched beyond recognition, the grass black as the Abyss and the insects were emanating a pungent burning odour. He eventually found what he was looking for.

A woman. The only definable feature was her long green hair her lower body missing. Her upper was burnt like charcoal. The old man's legs were shaking slightly he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He refused to believe it.

Whilst still in blistering rage. He stormed with thunderous steps to a place only he knows. His steps carried him to a beautiful cottage surrounded by lush trees. A huge contrast from the warground he was on moments ago. Carefully, he walked inside searching every part of the house till he came across a room with a sun on it.

He inched inside. The room looked like the average baby room. Toys and a few strange items were all over the floor. He walked up to a crib where a small baby layed in peaceful slumber.

His eyes shook as he held back the tears. Lifting the baby slowly he ventured out into the unknown as a sentence danced around his head. Family looks after family.

If you were to take a closer look at that room you would find a heart-warming sentence inscribed above the crib.

"Miracles only come once a lifetime."

To my dear child.

7 years later

In a grand mansion two people could be seen conversing in the living room or rather one of the living rooms. "We already know she can't sense cursed energy she is just like... like... Either way she can't be part of our Zenin clan." A young man wearing a fashionable suit with black gloves smooth to the touch.

"Are you calling my daughter a failure?" The other person an old man snapped in annoyance. Suddenly the young man didn't look so confident.

The mentioned daughter was currently in her one of her own rooms wearing a clean science coat and green gloves reminiscent of trees. Her experiments seemed erratic but there was an order to things. There always was.

She was holding a small flask and pouring its substance into beaker with black liquid sitting inside. It unexpectedly turned Into a green solution not at all the explosion she was expecting."Hahahhah." She chuckled.

'After 17 retrials.' She thought. '17! I'm doing pretty well at this stuff. But it could be better.' She noted. 'I think I should just go and train for now. I'll deal with this later.'

Walking down the many stairs, yet not breaking a sweat, she quietly made her way downstairs to the training area as she always (sometimes) did. Until her ears picked up something strange.

"She cannot be a sorcerer sir." A hint of fear could be detected in that voice.

"She'll do it someway somehow. She is part of our family when have we ever listened to the voice of refusal. NEVER." A second voice bellowed.

"Now dissappear before I make you." Steps quickly followed. The presumed second voice himself stepped out. Only to see her, by the corner. He sighed. " I can do it." you spoke out your voice filled with conviction. The man smiled.

Grandpa Yamamoto didn't need to told twice unlike some fools of that wretched clan. "Move along child you have training to do." He beckoned you to quickly move to the training grounds. As the perfect granddaughter you quickly moved outside.

It was a wide open area with an obstacle course that only seemed to go deeper into the ground at least 75 meters deep, the usual sight.

Either way you decided to first train your powers first. A green energy enveloped your hand as you used it to carve the ground and pull out a 3 meter wide rock. Waving your hand you sent it flying to the nearby forest. Crack! It sounded larger than last time. Neat.

Next test. Coating your body in psyhic energy you lifted yourself off the ground. You were flying. A light pang of a incoming headache was quickly sensed.

However, unshaken you continued on higher and higher until you knew you reached your limit. 'Around 12 meters eh... Good enough.'You slowly and softly landed on the ground.

The physical test. After doing some light stretches you jogged over to the obstacle course. Now it was time to get serious.

A step forward, you feel the slight change in wind. From behind! You bend you back and head downwards. Another change in the wind. 'My torso on the left.' You latch onto the ground using your right foot and evade with minimal movement.

Your instincts scream in alarm. Swiftly, you perform a backflip using the metal rod -that was attacking moments ago- and leap into the sky. Readying, your fist you coat it in pyshic energy and thrust it forward.

Crack!

The air reeled from the blow. Part of the training ground was blown away. Drip. Drip. Drip. Your hand... it's bleeding. Drip. Drip. Slam! A metal rod wacks itself into your face.

'My mistake never should have let my guard down.' It hurts badly but it can be considered pain resis- Slam! Your right leg collapses to the ground. 'Oh great. I got lost in my thoughts... again.' Another attack came to her stomach. Using her right arm she placed it on the metal rod and rotated her body to hold it once the attack was close enough.

'I've been thinking too much stop thinking and read the wind.' Woosh! You dodge a blow aimed for the left shoulder. Bang! You kick away the attack. You slip past another, jump over one. Clang! You shatter one to pieces using your psyhic energy.

After repeatedly dodging more attacks. She eventually stops and leaves the training grounds. Drip. Drip.

Scene Change: Science lab

"Hahahaha." A rather annoying laugh sounded through the mansion."Fourth time this week and it's only Wednesday." Suddenly, he looked serious as if he was talking about a deceased loved one. "The worst day."

Knock. Knock. Yamamoto sighed heavily. "See you later Sachi." Thud. Thud. His heavy steps got smaller and smaller. You dash straight towards the tubes you left lying on the desk.

You scan past the sparkly clean room, the desks white as a colourless diamond. The floor a perfect chess board. Your real goal was to locate your special chemical. J absorb.

'J absorb I can use this on the already made solution which is... well I'll figure out a name later.' The lid pops right off. 'This chemical is used for starting jujutsu sorcerers to absorb cursed energy easier.' It glides into the tube and splashes on the red solution.

'I should wait for it to calm before trying anything with it.' My steps carry me to the board erected on the wall where I keep a list of failures and achievements with the many experiments I've ran.

'In theory it should create a liquid that constantly absorbs cursed energy. If I were to find a way to attach it onto myself I should also be able to absorb cursed energy. And perhaps use it.'

"Sachi!. Come along we've got places to be and animals to meet!" Grandpa Yamamoto's voice passes through my ears. In a flash I discarded my sweaty science coat and pulled on brown trousers with a milky white t-shirt and a brown overcoat. I snag a grey hat from my wardrobe -which is also in my lab- and travel down the stairs with confidence leaking out.

My grandfather laid eyes on me and gave me a strange look. "WHAT is that look, you ain't Watson and most of all, you ain't that guy." My face twitched.'I don't know what he meant but I feel ridiculed... REALLY RIDICULED. My mouth opens. "Change or the lab goes." I bolted up the stairs. I'm a good girl I don't need to be told twice.

'Basic is always bad.' I mentally grimaced as I dressed myself with a black kimono with clovers dotted around it and a black trouser with a black sash around my waist. 'Ready to go!' Once again I leap down the stairs. "Better." He nodded with satisfaction.

I held my hand close to my waist. Whether or not he realised it. He masked it well. We got out and walked down a narrow path surrounded by trees. Many leaves gathered around me as I willed them to swirl around and around. A few dropped. 'I can control 7 items without losing full control over them.' My grandfather stopped. I stopped after him.

He kneeled and picked something out of the grass. It was a four leaf clover. With care he placed it in my hair. I looked down in a puddle on my side. A single streak of purple on the side of my face, the top of my hair black and it's ends having an emerald glow fitted nicely with the clover.

After checking myself out I returned to my grandfather's side. "What a beautiful miracle you are." He playfully messed with my hair. The corner of my lips tugged up ever so slightly in response.
