Our Destiny

"Tell me or else I will break both of your arms. Were you sent to me by the Daihatsu clan as well?", Akumu asked the man.

He quickly responded, "No Im not. Im just one of the many freelancers who saw your bounty, thinking you could be an easy target. We were incredibly wrong I'm so sorry. PLEASE SPARE ME."

As Akumu thought about what to do with the garbage that he stood above, Urushi barged into the abandoned building.

He immediately said, "To be able to snipe a target from such a great distance, you must be incredibly talented."

As he stood in the shadows, the assassin began to quiver in fear. He struggled to speak as he shouted, "Please sir, I didn't know that was your store. If I knew I would have attacked him further away."

The man recognized Urushi. Not as the store's manager and Owner but as the greatest assassin.

Akumu asked him, "Do you know who this guy is?"

As the man quivered in fear he shouted, "This guy is the-"

Just before he could finish his sentence Urushi throws a brick into his face quickly knocking him out. He then called out to Akumu, "Let's not pay him any mind, the authorities will take care of him for us. Anyhow let's go finish that cup of tea that we were sharing."

Sighing in exhaustion he quietly listened to the old man's words and left the decaying building that fought in. As the sniper lay unconscious, a man wearing a teal jacket snuck into the building from another entrance.

He shouted at the unconscious man, "You stupid idiot." As he dragged him away.

In the morning, not long after Akumu got admitted into the Izumo hospital

Taori snuck out of the Hotel, all the way into a random dark alleyway while silently crying, as per usual she carried her white katana. As she ran a voice called out from behind her, "WAIT TAORI."

Despite the voice's best efforts, she began to run even faster, going as far as to jump over multiple residential buildings just to escape the voice. 

As Taori comes to a slow halt, she suddenly calls, "You have been stalking me for a long time Mitsuki."

From atop the roof of a building the shadow of a small figure appears. Suddenly it teleports down in front of Taori.

Mitsuki then says "Father has ordered me to kill you. If you hand over the Muramasa and disappear for a while, I can make it seem like you died. You will be able to live out the rest of your life in peace and quiet as long as you don't act as a Jujustu sorcerer again."

Taori then asked him, "Will you guys stop hurting my friends if I do?"

As Mitsuki thought, he answered her, "Once I get that sword I will gain the title of blade dragon that you left behind. With that influence, I should be able to convince father to make him stop."

Taori smiles in relief as she removes the sword from her waist belt. Just before she could hand the blade over that same voice that had been chasing her called out, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TAORI??"

Just before Taori could hand over the weapon, Kenji runs up from behind her while breathing heavily. "Man, your fast. I have been chasing you for the last hour and could barely keep up."

As he bent over to take a large breather Taori asked him, "Why did you follow me?"

He then shouted at him, "To stop you from doing something stupid. Ever since you saw Akumu you have been as pale as a ghost."

As Taori began to hesitate she shouted, "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STAY OUT OF MY WAY??"

Kenji then spoke while struggling to breathe, "I already told you this once before Taori. When something troubles you, and you have no family to help, you still have your family in Jujutsu Tech that will always take your side."

As Taori realizes the era in her ways, Mitsuki begins to grunt in anger. Then suddenly three claw-like knives emerge from the knuckle of his gloves as he attempts to pierce Taori in the back.

Kenji seeing this quickly pushes Taori out of the way and takes the hit for her instead. Mitsuki tried to jump back, but Kenji grabbed his arm which was still piercing his chest.

He then asked, "Who are you to Taori?"

Mitsuki answered while panicking, "Im her younger brother."

Just as he said that Kenji instantly smashes his face in with a black flash. The attack sends Mitsuki bouncing back into a building sending him flying into a nearby closed store. "WHAT KIND OF A SIBLING TRIES TO KILL THEIR OWN SISTER??", Kenji shouts in rage.

When he finished shouting that, he fell onto the floor while grabbing onto his injuries. Taori quickly rushed towards him shouting, "Are you ok?"

"Im fine Taori, but you might wanna check on that punk.", Kenji responds.

From the remains of the store emerged, Mitsuki. The attack had destroyed his mask revealing his face covered in scars. Some of his teeth were missing while his left eye was completely torn apart. Taori gasped in shock while shouting, "What did Botan do to you??"

Mitsuki weakly responded, "Once you disappeared with the Muramasa us kids at the orphanage had to take the fall for it ya know? Most of us from there are either dead or being used as experiments for the poison dragon. Do you remember Nagato? He was used as an experiment to accelerate the ageing process. Out of the 15 kids used, he was the only success."

Taori then shouted, "Why do you still choose to work for him after everything that he has done to you??"

"Im sorry Taori, but there is nothing for kids like us outside of the syndicate.", he said. 

Just as he said that he suddenly disappeared into the shadows. Just he did however his echo leaves behind a faint message, "The next time that we meet one of us will die. That is the outcome that must happen."

As Kenji falls over onto his side, he looks Taori in the eye before passing out. He then spoke, "When I wake up... You gotta tell me as well as everyone else the truth okay??"

Later that day Taori would be found by Hikaru and the two would help drag Kenji all the way back to Izumo hospital.

Meanwhile, on Akumus' side, the duo had returned to the store

As Akumu helped the old man clean his store Akumu asked him, "Are you gonna explain to me what's going on?"

Urushi responded, "Whatever are you talking about young man?"

Akumu quickly asked, "Before I even arrived you were already being harassed by people from the assassin syndicate. Even if it was because I had visited you before, you could see a sniper from, what was at least a kilometre away! And even if you were to get lucky, you were helping me dodge his bullets as if it was just a chore for you??"

As the old man thought about it for a long time, he told him, "Its nothing. You're just overthinking things."

Akumu then shouts at him, "You owe me an explanation, old man. If you don't trust people then how do you expect to make other friends??"

As soon as he said that, he briefly remembered those same words being uttered to him by a man that he once knew.

Just before Urushi could respond, Yumeno screamed out at Akumu before delivering a powerful blow to his back making him scream out in pain, "THERE YOU ARE. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PROBLEMS THAT YOU'VE CAUSED FOR US???"

"Yumeno-san, I'm sorry wait'", Akumu said as Yumeno grabbed him by the hair before dragging him off into the distance. The nearby crowd gasped in shock as they witnessed the ongoing events.

Urushi thinking about what Akumu had said prior decided to follow the two.
