Contract Killers

Urushi opened up the shop for today. His line weaponry, was open for all to see yet once again no customers had come to his store. The only people that ever came were the Daihatsu clan clowns, who came to exhort information from him, or random passersby who would immediately be scared off by those same clowns.

But today was a special day for him, as he was expecting a guest in his shop. He had prepared some sencha tea, that he and the boy would drink over the large conversation that he was expecting to have. However just to ruin his mood, the same Daihatsu clan clowns had returned once again to destroy his store.

Following a loud bash that entered the room, a large bulky man who wore, a jet black suit entered. His hair was made up of slick black dreads that lay behind his head. He was followed by 4 other black suit-wearing goons that had nothing special about them. The man shouted,

"OI, OLD MAN. ARE YOU GOING TO TELL US WHERE EDEN IS ALREADY??"

Urushi responded, "I have already told you this countless times Matsu. Im not telling anyone where I hid that thing."

Matsu laughed before, smashing his fist into the ground. Destroying the tea that he had set up as well as the counter.

He then wagged his finger in the air signalling for his men to trash the store. One of them pulled out a crowbar and began to smash up all of the displays while another one picked up a large halberd and smashed it in half on his knee. Eventually one of the men noticing the gun on the wall reached out to try and grab but then he suddenly felt a bone-chilling pressure to his side. As he looked over to Urushi he suddenly felt like a barrage of knives were piercing his whole body, as he collapsed onto the floor while vomiting.

Matsu then laughed, "So despite going into retirement it looks like you still kept your killing intent?"

As he did so the giant picked up the kettle that spilt on the floor. He then emptied its contents on top of Urushis head.

"Back in the day, you were a well-respected hitman. If Gojo Owari was the strongest sorcerer then you were the strongest assassin. Even when you retired we all had respect for you. But once we discovered that it was you who hid away EDEN, become the most hated man in this society. We could have used the tool to end the power gap between humans. No one would suffer from possessing a weak cursed technique with that tool."

Urushi then argued back, "No one should be allowed to have that much power. If someone uses that tool, there would be no turning back. Whatever Botan has been telling you about that weapon is a lie!"

Matsu counted back, "I don't think you understand the situation that you're in right now. Every day until you die, we are going to keep coming back and trashing this store until you tell us where Eden is. We have already killed your son and chased away anyone who may be related to you. The choice to end this suffering is yours."

Urushi then shouted, "I REFUSE."

The second he shouted the doors to the ruined store swung open, revealing Akumu who had returned to keep his promise with the Oldman. As he entered he asked, "What's going on? And who are these people?"

Matsu raised an eyebrow in shock before he began to laugh hysterically, "I knew we couldn't trust that idiot with such a project. Of course, killing a special-grade sorcerer was too much of a task for him."

"If you know about that then that must mean you are from the Daihatsu?", he asked.

Akumu quickly raised his fist preparing for a fight with the man. But Daihatsu simply rallied his men and left the store. As he did he told Akumu, "Im not going to kill you until the boss orders me. However, just know that the Daihatsu clan isn't the only group after the bounty on yer head. We were only able to delay it for a bit of time but now that Nagato has failed even the freelancers are coming for you."

As the group of assassins walked off into the distance, Akumu quickly ran up to Urushi while shouting, "Are you okay old man?? They didn't injure you right??? you're covered in Tea!"

As Urushi breathed heavily, he only smiled while telling Akumu, "Im glad you kept your promise."

The second he did, he grabbed Akumu by the neck before pushing him to the ground while ducking for cover. Within the one millisecond that he did, a single bullet pierced the stores' windows, flying right into where akumu once stood, crashing into a nearby wall.

The sniper assassin that had tried to kill him before, had returned to take out his prey. Akumu wondering how Urushi had sensed the bullet tried to ask him how he knew about it before he did, but suddenly he dragged Akumu into the store room while shouting, "I will answer any questions that you want later, but right now we are engaged with an enemy."

A couple of minutes earlier with Hikaru and Yumeno

"What the hell is going on? First Akumu gets attacked, and now Taori goes missing too? I was supposed to get my fingernails done today, just in time for the New Year's holiday.", Yumeno shouted angrily.

Hikaru tried to comfort her, "You're not the only one suffering here ya know. I was meant to go buy the new GameStation Omega, in this city before their stock finished."

As the two walked for a good while, they noticed that an unusual number of people began to slowly disappear. Then suddenly they found themselves as the only two people in the entire block, and possibly then the entire city.

Hikaru then asked, "Where has everyone gone?"

Then suddenly a voice emerged from behind them, "It's a certain barrier that was developed so that assassins like us could isolate the target."

The second Yumeno heard that she immediately turned around while clapping her hands, sending a shockwave towards the man wearing a teal trench coat.

The trench coat man pulled out a pair of blue steel chakrams while defending. However, the blast still sent him flying back and into a building. 

Just as he was sent through the wall he threw both of his chakrams, towards the pair. Yumeno quickly sends another shockwave towards the two weapons, however, they bend a curve abnormally avoiding the attack while still charging toward their target. 

Yumeno easily ducks out of the way of chakrams, while Hikaru struggles to move in his thick layers of clothing. Yumeno shouts, "HURRY UP AND TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES." 

"I'm trying", Hikaru responds. But it was too late, he was barely able to avoid the chakram that ripped up the front of his coat as he tripped onto the floor. He quickly tried to run for shelter but some how the chakram followed him eventually slashing him in the back causing major bleeding.

As Yumeno ducks away, the chakram she dodged also returns to her, which she once again blasts, this time hitting her target. 

"The man in the teal coat eventually emerged from the building while stating, "Once I throw my weapons, they always hit their target no matter what."
