First, the people who formed a one-time connection and drew out large sums of formless liquid were newly awakening and realizing their curse technique and forming their shikigami.

People who made a weak bridge were summoning a simple shikigami with a specific ritual with the corresponding medium.

Kazuhiko had only seen two people ever draw out a large sum of black liquid from the unknown world all this year, others were all just summoning a simple shikigami.

This suggested the people who were awakening their powerful unique shikigami were extremely rare. 

If Kazuhiko's conclusions were true then his ten-shadow technique has the potential to become insanely more powerful than any other technique.
