Julian had never expected that he would also get an Electrium-Z, but he welcomed it with open arms. And just like he predicted, after a few hours, Crystal got bored playing with the z-crystal and handed it over to Julian.
Julian spent his time in his hotel room watching TV with nothing to do for the day.
A few days passed, and it was quite uneventful as nothing happened in Julian's life other than him going to school and teaching his students.
Today is no different. Julian returns after teaching from school, lies on his couch and turns on the TV to entertain himself.
As he switches through the channels, he stumbles upon an ad about a race involving pokemon and pancakes. Since it was someone unique and not heard of, Julian's interest grew.
He watched the ad and found out that the pokemon pancake race will be held tomorrow and anyone is allowed to participate in the race.
The winner of the race will win a year's supply of free pancakes. It is quite an appealing deal, but Julian has no use for a year's supply of pancakes.
But he wondered if he should participate or not. At the end of the day, it's just a fun sport where his pokemons can have some fun.
After giving it some thought, Julian decided to participate in it along with his new pokemons.
Since the competition is tomorrow, he decided to go and train for it. No matter how good his pokemons are, they cannot win a competition without practice.
He looked into the pancake race and found out how the race takes place. Every year, the competition is a little different along with the challenges.
Even trainers are asked to participate with their pokemons, and it looks like this race will be divided into two parts.
The first half has both the trainers and the pokemons, while the second half of the race is only for the pokemons.
In the first half, the trainers will have to drag a cart with their pokemon and pancake in it halfway through the race, then their pokemon will have to carry those pancakes to the finish line without dropping it.
Julian wondered which pokemon he should use. Both of his pokemons are bug-type with no hands to support the plate on which the pancakes will rest on, so they will have to balance the plate on their back while running.
This is going to be hard but this can also teach his pokemons some control over their body. The more Julian thinks about it, the more he realizes that this race can work wonders for his pokemons.
Now that he has thought out a plan, he needs pancakes, so he gets out of his hotel room and headed toward the pancake shop that is the most famous in the town.
When he got there, he saw Ash and his friends also in the pancake shop talking about the race. Since the door had a bell, his arrival caught their attention.
Mallow "Teacher Julian, what are you doing here?"
Mallow asked cheerfully. She seems very excited to see Julian.
Julian "Just here to get some pancakes"
Julian answered.
Lillie "Are you also participating in the pancake race as well?"
She asks.
Julian "Yes, and it looks like you guys are participating as well"
Julian said as he sees them buying a lot of pancakes.
Ash 'Yes, we all are participating. Pikachu and I also plan to win the whole thing"
Ash said with excitement, and Pikachu followed after with his cute voice.
Julian then bought Pancakes along with Ash and his friends and started training for the race. Julian decided to use Wimpod as the pokemon that will be participating with him in the race.
Wimpod is very fast, which is good for a race. Now, the only thing Julian needs to work on is his balance. He will have to run with a plate on his back, which will be stacked up with multiple pancakes.
Julian wants Wimpod to win this race, which will also help him build up the confidence that he really needs. He is improving a lot and a win in this race will boost it further.
Julian is confident in his ability to train Wimpod to win this challenge. With all the training that Julian has put Wimpod through, his stamina is already off the charts, his speed is unmatched, and now balanced in work, Julian is about to create a monster that looks like a tiny little bug.
Julian trained alongside Ash and his friends. Since this is his first time doing training like this, it is better to watch and learn.
Julian knows that one is not perfect, even he, a veteran trainer, can learn from young children. The one who is willing to learn is the one who is guaranteed to win.
After hours of training, he saw his Wimpod running around the field with a plate on his back stacked up with multiple pancakes
The reason these pancakes are not falling is because of the syrup that is layered between each one of them. The only way they can fall is if the pancake tower tilts too much.
To win this race, Wimpod has to run fast but in a controlled manner so that he doesn't cause the pancake tower to fall because of the wind pressure that is going to build up.
Now that training has come to an end, Julian returns to his hotel and waits for tomorrow's event.
