Letting Sophie go, Finn looked at her face, which was now stained with tears.
He chuckled and used his thumb to wipe her tears away.
"I didn't take you for a crybaby."
Trying to make her feel better, he smiled at her, but she felt bad for him instead.
Finn was the one who needed someone to make him happy, but instead she was here acting like he was the one in the wrong.
"I am s-"
"You already said that."
He quickly covered her mouth with his palm.
"I'll forgive you. But at least hear me out before you judge me next time, okay?"
Sophie nodded her head at his words because Finn still didn't allow her to speak.
"Alright. Then I will go home now."
He let her go and started walking to the helipad.
Sophie wanted to chase after him, but she still felt bad about what she had done, so she looked down, not knowing what to do.
"You coming?"
She raised her head when she heard Finn's voice, and she saw him standing there with a smile.
"Are you not going to see me off?"
He tilted his head and held out his hand.
When Sophie heard this, she rushed to his side and grabbed his hand like a puppy.
"I am dating a real cutie."
Finn squeezed Sophie's hand with a chuckle and started walking towards the door that connected the corridor to the rooftop.
Not replying to Finn, Sophie blushed and continued walking by his side.
She wanted to walk with him for a long time, but only minutes after they had started walking, they had already arrived near the helicopter that Finn would be flying in.
Looking at how unwilling Sophie was to let him go made Finn happy, and he patted her head.
"I'm not a kid!"
She let go of his hand and grabbed his other hand that was patting her.
"Sorry. Sorry. You were just too cute, so I wanted to pat you."
"…"
Sophie wanted to be angry at Finn, but it was like he knew what to say to make her become embarrassed instead.
Noticing her blush, Finn smiled and entered the helicopter.
"Let's meet in the game once I get back home, okay?"
"Yes…"
She nodded, and once the helicopter took off, she ran to her room so that she could meet with Finn as soon as possible.
---
When Finn got back home, he looked around, but his parents were still playing Second Life.
He wasn't angry at them for not waiting for him, though.
Instead, he was happy that they were enjoying the game so much.
He had some time, so Finn contacted Leo and James, whom he hadn't seen in a while, and they agreed to meet up after the festival because Finn wanted to hear about their experiences.
Walking through the house, Finn entered his room and logged into Second Life.
He woke up in the same guest room that he had logged out of, and because he wanted to go meet Sophie, he opened the door to leave the room.
But as soon as he stepped outside of the room, he noticed that there were two guards guarding it.
"Umm… Hello?"
The soldiers that were assigned to guard this room and tell the king if the person inside left were shocked to see someone actually leave the room.
They had already been standing guard for two days, but nobody entered or left, so they thought that the king was just pulling their leg.
But looking at Finn, they found out that the person who stayed inside the room actually existed.
"Sir Finn!"
Both of the guards saluted, and one of them ran off to deliver the news to the royal family.
The other guard explained to Finn how they were ordered to wait for him, and he understood that Erelith was just looking out for him because the one day he had spent in real life were two days here.
Soon, the guard who had previously run away returned, and the guards started leading Finn somewhere.
After a few minutes of walking, the guards opened a double door for Finn, and he entered a study room that had its own library.
As soon as he entered, he noticed that Fae and her parents were sitting around a table while drinking tea.
Fae was in the middle of reading a book, but when she saw Finn enter, she dropped the book and ran to greet him.
"Big brother!"
She jumped on him, and Finn lifted her up with a hug.
"Hello Fae."
"Did you train for two days, brother?"
Curious, Fae wanted to know why Finn had been gone for so long.
"Yes, Fae. I trained really hard so that I can protect you!"
Finn chuckled and patted Fae's head.
Walking to the table and sitting down, he then explained that his girlfriend would be arriving soon, and he planned to go pick her up in the harbor.
"I will go with brother Finn!"
Fae had bad memories of going to the harbor, but she felt safe with Finn, so she decided to follow him and find out what his girlfriend looked like.
Her parents were against her decision, but once she agreed to take some guards with her, they agreed and told Finn to bring her girlfriend to the palace after he had finished greeting her.
---
Walking outside the city gate with Fae in his arms, Finn didn't realize what "some guards" meant.
He anticipated that Fae's parents would send four guards with them, but he was actually under the protection of twenty guards who were all paying close attention to their surroundings.
Finn found it a little funny, but he decided to just act like they weren't there, and he walked to the harbor with his small army of elf guards.
They walked through the forest and didn't meet any monsters, so they quickly arrived in the harbor.
Sophie had already messaged Finn that she had arrived, so he went to the pier to look for her. He and his small army received a lot of gazes, but he ignored them and kept looking around.
Finally seeing a girl with purplish hair, he knew that it was Sophie, so he let Fae down and ran to greet her.
"Sophie! I missed you!"
When Sophie heard Finn's voice, she turned around and saw him running towards her with his arms stretched out, just like he had done when he was visiting her family's mansion before.
But this time, she didn't push him away and returned the hug instead.
She was slowly getting used to touching Finn, and she even started to like how warm his body felt.
"What do you mean you missed me… We haven't seen each other for like an hour..."
A quiet voice came out of Sophie's lips, but contrary to what she had said, she also missed Finn and wanted to meet him as soon as possible.
"Yes! And it was the longest hour of my life!"
Finn was happy that Sophie was finally okay with being hugged, so he wanted to hug her for as long as he could, but as he was hugging her, he noticed that someone started pulling on his shirt.
So he released Sophie from his hug and looked down at where Fae was standing while fidgeting around.
She wanted to introduce herself to Sophie, and she even prepared some sentences to say, but she was really nervous when she saw that Sophie was even more beautiful than most elves.
Finn noticed Fae's nervousness, so he grabbed her hand. He then grabbed Sophie's hand and put their two hands together in a handshake.
"Sophie, this is Fae, my cute little elf sister. Fae, this is Sophie, my beautiful girlfriend who looks cold but is actually the most adorable girl I have ever-"
"Hello Fae."
Sophie had to cut Finn off because she was starting to feel embarrassed with Finn praising her in front of all the guards and the people that had gathered to look at what was going on.
But Fae didn't instantly answer because she wasn't sure how to address Sophie.
She didn't want to come off as rude, so she looked at Finn, asking for help with her eyes.
"I am your big brother, so that makes Sophie your big sister."
Understanding what she wanted, Finn helped her by telling her what she should call Sophie.
When Fae heard that, her eyes brightened up because she always wanted a sister.
She used to have a caring big brother who had died, and now she had another kind brother, but she had never had a sister.
A sweet smile appeared on Fae's face, and she looked at Sophie with her beautiful blue eyes.
"Hello, big sister Sophie!"
When Sophie saw how lovable Fae was, she understood why Finn described her as the most adorable being he had ever met.
So she immediately kneeled down and gave Fae a hug.
Sophie loved cute things like any other girl, but she didn't usually show it, so seeing Fae's cuteness made her heart warm up.
Fae was a little surprised to be suddenly hugged, but she didn't dislike hugging her new big sister, so she giggled and also hugged Sophie.
Looking at the two of them, Finn felt like he was seeing two angels hugging each other.
"Can I join too?"
He asked expectantly, preparing to also join the group hug.
"No! Big sister is mine now!"
"No. You spent enough time with Fae, so now it's my turn."
Both of them hmphed at Finn and looked at each other.
Fae then started giggling because she found it funny how they both said no to Finn and Sophie smiled at her new little sister.
Meanwhile, Finn was looking at the two of them having fun while he was standing all alone.
'I want a hug too…'
'I can give you a mental hug. Come here, kiddo.'
'No! I don't want a hug from you!'
Finn instantly rejected Loki, who was trying to make fun of him.
'Actually, there is something very important I have to tell you.'
Loki then started talking with a serious voice.
'What?'
So Finn's expression also turned serious.
'…'
'Well? Tell me!'
But after not hearing Loki talk, Finn became agitated.
'I'll tell you after the festival. I am going to sleep now.'
Loki quickly turned their connection off and went to sleep, leaving Finn speechless and wondering what Loki was about to tell him.
Finn then started grinding his teeth after Loki had done something only to piss him off like every time they spoke.
'…You fucking bastard!'
What Finn didn't know was that Loki did actually want to talk to him about his ability to charm women and make them unwilling to stop pursuing him, but he decided to keep it to himself for now and tell him later because he was too lazy to deal with Finn's questions.
