Chapter 16

Tamed beast and contract beast are different. Tame beast are tamed by beast tamer using taming techniques. Tamed beast obey the the tamers any command obediently. Beast taming requires a vast amount of knowledge in beast and qi. A person can only tame a beast who qi is less than his or her own qi. Qi is an sort of energy emitted by all living being. But it is rather hard to control and use it. So mana is commonly used by elementalist. But there is a race which can control and use qi fluently. And they are called elves.

Secondary, contract beast. The beast are bound by a condition to the contractor. In this method, the contractor doesn't require to use his qi. The contractor can only contract one beast at a time. After fulfillment of the contract the beast and contractor are not bound by any contract. During contract time the contractor can summon the beast anytime unlike the summoning in the taming techniques it does not consume any energy.

Arthur explained Jim the difference between contract beast and tamed beast. Then he used some kind technique and suddenly a giant bird like beast appeared infront of them. Jim was in a shocks, at seeing it at first and regain his composure after seeing his uncle calm. "It is a Dark Markow. My contract beast. It is your first time seeing it any way. Markow are one of the fastest creature in the continent. And we can get to the capital before the time."

"Anyway can you explain where are we going anyway." Jim asked Arthur. "We are going to Nidavellir, the home of dwarves."

"Then why are we going to the capital." Jim asked as he get on the back of the Markow. "You will know as you get there." Arthur also sat on the back of the Markow. The beast screeched and suddenly the space around them suddenly became destroyed. A portal open before them. The beast entered the portal.

Arthur and Jim reached the border grassland of the capital. Jim feels naseua and he started vomiting. Jim looked at his Uncle very angrily. Arthur just laughed. "Today's human are very weak." A voice suddenly came, Jim looked who was speaking. "Hey where are you looking, human. Your being disrespectful to me." The voice came from the Markow. Jim looked at the beast. "Arthur don't called me your pet again. I will kill you." After saying these word the Markow disappeared.

Jim asked him Uncle what kind beast it is. Arthur explained that it is a Legendary beast. When he was travelling the continent while completing the high ranked mission. He met the Black Markow sealed in a cave with a sword on it's back. The beast asked him to pull the sword out of him. But Arthur put a two conditions on the beast that are to became his contract beast until his dead and don't make any disaster after during his contract period. The beast readily agreed to the terms.

The Black Markow has a ability to manipulate space which help it to travel long distance in a small period of time. Even though they reached the capital in a short time. They need to reach the Royal Cardinal where the people for the Union Conference has arrived. Union Conference is a like competition and meeting where all guild heads discuss the current problem they face. It take them a two day journey to reach the Royal Cardinal because of the security protocol in the capital.

In the Cardinal there were some high ranked adventurer and respective guildmaster. The Cardinal was heavily guarded by royal knight whose duty is to protect the royal castle and royal cardinal and respective places. Jim and Arthur were greeted by a knight and he lead them to a place where people were gathered. The room was large enough to fit a hundred people and on other side of the room there were some machinery. Some people where controlling the machine. And in the middle there was a huge portal which is inactive.

Union Heads checked that representative of each guild has come. He tell people who controls the machineries that everyone has arrived. After a short while getting the permission the portal opens. Everyone entered the portal, some knight also accompanied them. The inside of the portal was a large space and at end of the space there was an other portal connecting the other side of the space.  After entering the other portal they enter a large room like space. There were some dwarves who greeted them.

A Dwarf came and introduced himself and another Dwarf, " Respected guest from the Temple and Guild Union. I am Mimir Lonstan. Minister of Dwarven Council and this is YOUR MAJESTY  SIDRI VOLDEMOR." After the giving their respect to the Dwarven King, they were invited to a large dining hall. They were delicious dwarven cuisine on the table. After eating the food they were further invited to a hall where the Dwarven King sat on his throne and rule his country.

The main representative of the Guild Union and the Temple were given seat in the court. Others were invited to a guesthouse to rest for a while. Jim and his Uncle went to the room that given for them. Jim was very tried of the journey so he take a rest in the room. Arthur went out of room and take a walk seeing the Dwarven architecture in the Nidavellian Royal Palace.

Meanwhile, In the royal court of the Nidavellir, there were a meeting is occuring. The Dwarven guild representative come forward and began to explain the rule and regulations of this year Union Conference. For the Conference a specially build Arena and a hall was build in the Nidavellir.

Union conference take place every twenty years in which various adventure guild representative  gather around and discussion on the current problem and merit of the Guilds. There is a competition to determine the best adventure of the continent conducted.
