SALEM POV
She looked out of the window and noticed that the Bullhead pretending to be the Nevermore had finally come in sight.
Well… wasn't this interesting.
She wondered who could've sent these ships after her.
Definitely not Ozma.
By now, he has learned that she couldn't be killed and won't send his agents on a suicidal mission.
Especially the Fall Maiden and a Silver Eyed Warrior.
It was a pity that her Grimm couldn't salvage their bodies from the crash site.
They must have used some form of long-range Teleportation or Portals to escape.
Such semblances were extremely rare but there were always a few hunters with such Semblance in every generation.
She wondered who these people were and why were they trying to attack her.
Didn't they know that she was immortal?
If they did then why were they coming here?
Did they have something that would make them confident of their victory?
And then suddenly, more people started to appear inside that Bullhead.
So some kind of portal semblance then.
Well… she might as well test what these people are made of.
She mentally ordered all the Grimm in the near area to attack them while she started to call all the Grimm within a 100 km vicinity to the castle.
It was unlikely that these people would be able to do anything to her but it never hurts to be cautious.
She felt her connection to the Titan Manticore sleeping in the nearby Mountain and wondered if she should wake it up.
After some thinking, she decided against it.
She saw some of the Tempest Grimm taking to the air and using their powers to create storm clouds in the air. But… something was wrong.
Those storm clouds were forming far quicker than they should.
Was this the work of the maiden inside that Bullhead?
It has been a long time since she saw a maiden with such good control over her powers. What a delight.
Or maybe it was two maidens instead of one.
She couldn't tell from this distance.
She ordered the Tempest to assault the Bullhead.
Lightning gathered in the cloud above and a large bolt of lightning slammed down on the Bullhead.
Except that instead of striking the Bullhead and flying everyone inside, the Lightning arched around the Bullhead, not even touching it and then it arched around once again to hit her Tempests, destroying two of them with a single attack.
She blinked.
Such great control over lightning and such reflexes and power…
Now she was certain that this wasn't a Maiden. She had never seen a Maiden with enough power to snatch the control over lightning from the Tempests let alone attack them with that same power.
Perhaps a semblance?
No. This was something different.
Something new.
And she couldn't wait to see what it was.
Some of the Blind worms poked their head out of the ground and spat acid at the rapidly approaching Bullhead.
An acid that could melt through a few inches of steel within seconds.
Their acid never reached the Bullhead as a Telekinetic shield formed around the Bullhead and deflected the acid without any difficulty.
Interesting.
Was that Glynda Goodwitch's power? The generation's primary subordinate of Ozma.
The ship was certainly filled with people with powerful semblances.
She gave the remaining Tempests the order to go ahead and attack the Bullhead and wondered if that Telekinetic shield will hold against their physical attacks. Attacks that are strong enough to snap large airships in half.
Except, the large tentacles never reached the Bullhead either.
A bright light shone out of the bullhead and tentacles stopped in their place, petrified.
The light was not strong enough to destroy Grimm of such great power but being turned into stone was not pleasant for any of her Grimm.
It seems that she might have to go out and welcome these intruders in a more personal manner.
She called to the Manticore Titan and woke it up from its centuries-long slumber.
It had certainly grown a lot in its sleep was now powerful enough to crush a city on its own.
She sensed the other Titans in the area.
The closest one was over a dozen miles away. A blind worm Titan that had grown to hundreds of meters in length. Not as powerful as the Manticore Titan but still in the top 10 of her titans.
The other titans were still further away and she decided to not bother with them.
The Manticore Titan should be enough for now.
The mountain in the distance shook and shattered into pieces as the Manticore titan woke up and flexed its body.
She looked up at the sky and noticed that the Storm clouds were gathering in an even large quantity despite her Tempest Grimms being incapacitated.
Interesting.
She walked out of her private room and started walking down the stairs.
If these people have come so far to meet her then it was only right that she grant them an audience.
In the distance, the Manticore titan stretched its wings, and then with a might leap, it took to the sky and started gliding toward the Bullhead.
She smiled.
'What will you do now, when your telekinetic shield won't hold and your Silver eyed warrior won't be enough?' she thought curiously.
Her eyes narrowed as a young man came out of the bullhead and climbed on top of it.
A moment later, the Manticore titan stumbled and almost fell out of the sky and a large amount of telekinetic force was applied to its body.
Ah… so it wasn't that new subordinate of Ozma as she had assumed but someone else entirely.
But… this level of strength won't be enough to stop the Manticore.
Once the surprise of the telekinetic force washed away, the Manticore Grimm put more force into its wings and continued its flight toward the Bullhead.
She reached the end of the stairs and walked out of the castle.
It was just in time to see that young man jump away from the Bullhead and toward the Manticore.
A sacrifice?
Admirable. If futile.
It won't be enough to stop the Manticore titan. Not for long.
She patted the Grimm hound that had walked up to her side and watched the young Man glide toward the Manticore Titan using his meager Telekitenic powers.
And then her eyes widened as the man started to change forms.
Two wings appeared out of his back, his hands turned into claws, his mouth turned into a jaw and large spines started to grow out of his back as he grew and grew and grew…
Until there was a Dragon in front of her eyes, flying toward the Manticore Grimm.
The last time she saw true dragons were… when she met the Brother gods of Light and Darkness.
When she was cursed.
Did this man had some connection to those two brothers?
She heard a whine from beside her and turned to see that she had crushed the spine of the Grimm hound in her anger.
No…
This man couldn't be related to those two.
If he was then she would be dead by now.
But… the fight between the Manticore titan and the Dragon who was still somewhat smaller than the titan was going to be entertaining to watch.
She sent a message to the Blind Worm titan and called it to her location.
It was unlikely that these people will have another Dragon midst them but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.
