At The School

She was running towards the school now with shaky breaths. She stopped at the corner of the pavement for a minute to catch her breath. The weather was exceptionally windy today and she didn't tie up her long silky dark black hair so it was blowing gently in the wind, making her look like some ravishing idol. She started walking again but on a slower pace this time. "Today was going to be her last day at school" she thought, "and none of her friends knew about it yet." She did not keep it from them intentionally because she herself didn't know about it just a day ago. In one day her stable world was flipped upside down. She was on the very edge right now.

She had no idea about how to break the news on her friends and she was scared of how they would react. It was not like she had any other option so the only thing she could do was to tell her friends about the whole thing and bid them farewell for good. She turned a corner and almost tripped. "Sh*t my shoelaces are undone." She muttered and knelt down, tied them up and continued walking. She could now see the school building after turning left on the main road. Her heart was now beating fast with every step she took towards the building and her palms were getting sweaty. "What the hell is wrong with me!?" irritated from everything, she muttered. Taking a few deep breaths she entered the campus. Jacob saw her entering the hallway and waved at her cheerfully but all she could do was to force a smile on her face and wave back. Rachel was standing in front of Jacob but she didn't see her approaching them as she was leaning against one of the lockers with her back at Jane. "Hey you guys!" Jane said when she reached them. "Well hey yourself!" Rachel exclaimed turning around. "Where have you been this whole weekend!? I seriously thought you're dead." Rachel exclaimed. "Well... something pretty unexpected and complicated recently happened I have to tell you guys all about it because it's something VERY important." Jane said rubbing her arm nervously. "What? Is everything okay? Wait. You didn't get to meet Robert Pattinson by any chance, did you!? Rachel asked, with excitement. "NO", Jane blurted out. "Rachel and her obsessionwith Robert Pattinson" Jane thought and almost rolled her eyes. "Is that the reason you didn't respond to any of our texts or calls? Is it serious? The whole situation I mean. Whatever it is." Jacob chimed in. "No. Yes. I mean it is important. Very important but not what you guys are thinking." But before Jane could answer any of their questions and extinguish their curiosity the bell rang. "UGHH!!", the three of them rolled their eyes and groaned out loud in union.
