"Where am I? How do I get here?"

These were the words that echoed in Jason's head as he looked around him. One minute he was on his way to the bank then the next he was here.

"Wait a minute, am I dead? No, it can't be, I escaped the disaster, how come I'm here?" Jason said out loud before taking a look at his very existence only for him to discover that he doesn't look normal and there is this glow around him.

After some time, he began to recover his memory before his death. Taking us back a few hours before his death...

Jason, a twenty year old boy, with mundane brown hair, striking blue eyes, and a lean and agile build who has always lived his life devoid of love and care, was on his way to the bank to repay the money his late parents owe.

"Finally I will be able to live my life free of all this debt after I make the complete payment" he said to himself full of joy as he walked towards the direction of the bank with a humming sound.

'I can't wait to see the look on my uncles and aunties face once they found out I've completed the payment' Jason thought to himself as he continued on his way to the bank.

Since he was ten, the bank came to their place to collect their money then his parents were still alive. They went to his uncles and aunts for help but were turned down and left with no choice but to engage in different jobs until their death and Jason had to carry on from where they stopped.

Arriving at the bank, Jason made his way to the counter where a lady was busy attending to a customer. Not being a stranger here, Jason decided to wait by the side until she was done attending to the customer but it was actually at this time that some robbers bashed into the bank armed with guns ordering them to lay down as they carried on their operation.

Jason lay down as instructed while shaking in fear as he continued to pray the robbers wouldn't go extreme but all of a sudden, his cell phone suddenly rang drawing all the attention to himself.

"I'm screwed" he screamed inside his head as he hurriedly tried to turn the phone off but it was already too late as one of the robbers made his way towards him.

"You have nerves boy" said the robber as he hit Jason on the head.

"It wasn't my fault sir, please forgive me" pleaded Jason as the robber continued to hit him.

This scene causes the crowd to scream in fear which ends up drawing the attention of the other robbers that were busy cleaning the bank. forcing one of them to tend to the commotion and seeing his fellow mate beating up a young boy, he could not help but stop him.

"What the hell is wrong with you, we promised to keep this operation clean so what are you doing?" asked the robber in an angry tone as he stopped the other robber with a hand.

"This kid here was just so brave as to call the police so I decided to teach him a lesson" replied the robber who was keeping watch.

Turning his gaze back on Jason who had his face covered in blood, the robber decided to ask Jason if what he said was true Jason said he was not trying to call the police and that his phone just rang.

"Just let the kid be alright, at least you have beaten the shit out of him so he won't do anything funny again" said the robber before returning back to what he was doing.

Just when he was about to walk out, the alarm suddenly rang out and a man who was wearing black with a gun in his hand stood at shot at the robbers after seeing one of them about to pull the trigger on the cashier who happened to be the one responsible for pressing the emergency button.

"Bang".

The sound of a gunshot rang out followed by the robber's painful scream as he fell to the ground and the moment he did, he also pulled the trigger but his gun was not facing the man who shot him instead, it was aimed at Jason who was happy a moment again that he was going to live.

Not expecting this turn of events as he lay on the floor with blood flowing from his head.

"so this is how my life is going to end, in pain. I didn't even have the chance to live my happy life" These were the words he managed to speak out and it was the last as he breathed his last breath.

After regaining his memory, Jason let out a sigh before looking at his surroundings wondering where he was, and to make things worse, he was all alone in this dark world.

"I must have been sent to hell to continue my suffering since I'm here" Jason mutters.

Just after he said those words, the world suddenly lit up revealing the surroundings and it was only then Jason realized he was not the only one inside the world as there were other people both young and old.

And just like Jason, they were also confused about their new environment as some of them began to ask one another where they had been teleported to but they didn't have the chance to get their answer when a deep voice suddenly echoed from everywhere.

"Welcome to the trial ground".

"trial ground?" there is a confused look on everyone's face as they do not understand where the voice came from and what this trial ground is all about.

As if reading their thought, the voice spoke up once more.

"those who regret their death and still wish to have another shot in life are sent him to undergo a trial and would be sent back to their world to continue with their life but that would be if they could pass the trial".
