Life started on my second day.

I stepped into St. George's High for the second time. It felt better - because it was quiet today.

I went to the library to meet my new friend - Miss Cassie, the librarian.

"Aphrodite..you're early. " she smiled

"Good morning Miss. " I said and sat down.

She looked at me sadly "You don't want to be in school, right? "

I sighed. She read my mind.

I nodded slowly.

"You have to. " she said and patted my shoulder "Just make friends.. " she added.

I shook my head. "No thank you. " I said with my hands up.

That was like the toughest thing ever.

"You'll come around.. " she said "..I feel it. " she added and joyfully got up.

I sighed and walked out to the library to my class.

Miss Cassie. I loved her energy, cos even though nothing was making me happy, her free nature was. She had it, the free nature I once had in Barmount that I could never have here..

As I walked and thought, someone brought me to reality.

"Watch it, weirdo. " I heard someone say.

I looked up slowly to see the lankiest creature I had ever come across.

"Sorry. " I muttered and was about to walk off when the creature held my hand.

"I see you're new.." it said "I'm Brandy. "

I paused, wriggled my hand, and looked properly.

It was her. The girl who looked like The Bully.

"Nice. " I said and walked to my seat.

Brandy was quiet for sometime before she walked up to my seat and said "I could help with some fashion tips. "

I heard myself chuckle a bit. " And I could help with some teeth whitening tips. " I said and looked her straight in the eye.

She glared at me for a long time, and after, walked to her seat.

Phew..

"Hope she didn't do any harm? " I heard Reuben ask as he sat near me

"No.. she can't. " I said

"I love your energy. " he said excitedly, and for the first time in a long time, I smiled.

Maybe he wasn't such a bad idea for a friend after all.

"Good Morning class.. " the teacher said as he walked into the class making the while class murmur.

"Don't worry.. " the teacher said "..you'll be working majorly with your seniors now.." he said.

The whole class, except Reuben and I gasped both in amazement and excitement.

"What's so exciting? " I asked in a whisper

Reuben chuckled " The girls here have a thing for their seniors. "

I smiled. Just like Barmount.

I remember my last year there, when I had a huge crush on my senior - Lucien. He was him. The hottest and most popular vampire anyone could ever meet at Barmount.

But then, as it always happened, he finally announced his girlfriend - a doll like pretty lady.

I was never a match for him though... 300 years younger..

I blinked multiple times and came back to reality. Everyone was leaving the class already.

"Where are we going? " I ask Reuben

He looked at me a sighed with a smile "We're taking a class with the seniors. "

"Ohh.. " I muttered.

I wanted to beg Reuben to sit with me, but he said "You'll sit with Adonis and I..it'll be better. "

I nodded, and once again, thought about what his brother looked like.

I tried to get a clearer picture of what I saw yesterday..but it just wouldn't work.

I hoped he matched his name.. Adonis.

As we walked into the class full of seniors, for the first time in a long time, I almost melted from embarrassment.

They. Were. Huge.

I stood in confusion, but then ran with Reuben when I saw him walking towards a tall guy who looked just like him, and tappng his shoulder.

I looked at the guy. Tall, slender, good looking like Reuben, but even better.. thick black hair.. perfect nose..slender lips..

He sure did look like his name.

"Hi.. I'm Adonis.. " I heard a deep voice bring me back to reality.

I looked forward, then up and saw Adonis smiling friendly at me.

"Hi.. " I said "...Aphrodite. "

He looked at me with slight shock.

Was he shocked about my name?

"Aren't you going to take my hand? " he asked with a sad smile

I looked around, and then at Reuben who smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry.. " I muttered and shook his hand.

He smiled " Soft hands.. " he muttered as he slowly let go.

"Let's sit there. " Reuben said as he nudged me on the arm.

"Yeah.. "Adonis muttered and nicely put out a chair for me.

I felt my belly dance..

Were my emotions finally coming back?

I sat quietly and listened to the teacher introduce the class.

"Tell me if you don't understand anything, okay? " I heard Adonis say.

I nodded slowly..
