Rain

On one particular day, Evelyne was busy with her laptop and notebook as usual. She was studying for the new semester that got closer day by day. Victor had left her apartment. He had administrative work to do at the hospital regarding his practical class next semester.

As the weather forecast predicted, the weather outside was gloomy and rain would drop any time soon. Such a perfect condition for Evelyne, so she made herself a cup of coffee. Even though rain brought her bad memories, at the same time it brought her happiness. Her study room became comfier with the rain, also the view from her window was great during the rain. The rain sound was also calming her mind to focus on studying.

As she played an indie song, she continued to study. But, the thought of the rain was disturbing her mind. She kept looking at the window behind her back, waiting for the sky to drop the rain.

"Huft… In times like this, I always remember about him." She sighed, trying to chase her memory with someone away. "Well well, playing with the rain will be fun right?"

Right when she said that, the rain slowly poured down the street. Evelyne was focused on the view, forgetting that she was studying. "Ahhh… I love it!!!"

Evelyne enjoyed the view from her window, admiring the beauty while drinking the coffee. Coffee was her favourite drink, and no one could stop her to drink it. "Should I go outside? It's heavy enough to play."

She put down her cup and walked outside her apartment. Everyone was walking with an umbrella in hand or simply waiting for the rain to stop somewhere. No one completely walked under the rain without anything except for Evelyne, who just stepped her foot outside the apartment building.

She slowly stuck out her palm to feel the raindrop, then set her foot out. 'It's amazing!' She almost shouted.

No need to wait for long to see her completely under the rain without anything to avoid her from the rain. She didn't care what people thought about it, she just walked under the rain and felt every drop touching her.

After a few moments, Evelyne didn't only walk, but she also ran, jumped, and did some small twirls. "I love this."

An hour passed and the rain gradually stopped, so Evelyne also stopped to play under it. She was all wet, but she considered it as worth it. She walked back to her apartment.

In her unit, the first thing she thought was to take a bath and change her clothes. But, when she just took another step, the beeping sound from her door was heard. Obviously, it was Victor.

"Hey Eve-" his words were cut because he was shocked when he saw Evelyne. "Eve, why are you so wet? Did you walk under the rain?" He examined Evelyne's look.

Evelyne could just giggle as Victor's guess was right. "You should try it! It's fun, you know!"

Victor could only sigh at Evelyne who acted like a child. "Alright, now take a bath before you catch a cold! I'll make you a hot tea to warm your body." He pushed Evelyne to the bathroom.

After she finished with her bathing, Victor gave her a cup of hot tea and on his shoulder, there was a dry towel. "Come here." He pulled Evelyne's hand gently to her study room and they sat there together. "Drink it."

Evelyne loved the scent from the tea. It calmed her even more. While she enjoyed her tea, Victor dried her hair using the towel.

Reading

As a writer, Evelyne loved to read as well. It helped her to get more inspiration about what she should write or add next. One of her favourite genres was a romance story, moreover if it was a comic webtoon.

This morning, Evelyne just woke up from her sleep and checked her phone whether there were new messages, news, or maybe, a new amazing story.

She scrolled her phone thoroughly and her eyes were widened suddenly. "Oh my gosh!!! This one is really great!" She found a new webtoon story that suited her taste. Quickly she sent the link to her friend, Elanor so they could read it together.

Before she read the story any further, she moved from her bed and started her routine. First, she made her bed, then next she took a bath and continued with cooking. After she tidied up everything, she took her phone and answered a call from Elanor that had missed two times.

"Sorry El, I just finished my routine. I don't want to end up not doing anything," Evelyne laughed as she walked to her study room with her hand holding her phone. "Anyway, have you read it? I just read the opening and it's really good!"

On her side, Elanor changed her position, ready to talk about the story. "Well, I have read several first few chapters. And you know what…. It's so fun!"

Evelyne rested her body on the matt and opened her laptop. "I know right. The first chapter is enough to make me fall in love." Evelyne opened the webtoonn from her laptop and started reading it.

"True! The red haired man is definitely my type!" Elanor was busy talking about the man, while Evelyne was reading the whole chapter. They were hyped together discussing how the story went.

"Hey, El… don't you think you're over-hyped? You have Jovan already! That man is mine!" They were arguing over a man that they like.

Elanor couldn't accept it. "Eve! But this man is different from Jovan! He is mine! Maybe you can choose the blue haired one. You love blue right?"

"No El. The red haired one is definitely my type!" Evelyne shouted and at the same time, her study room door was opened by Victor.

"Eve? What are you talking about shouting like that?" Victor tilted his head in confusion. It was a rare sight to see Evelyne shouting so aggressively like what he saw now.

"Uhmm…. Well… Your sister and I are talking about this webtoon and we like this one man," said Evelyne as she turned her laptop to Victor so he could look at the webtoon. "Ah, now you're here. This man definitely suits me more, right?"

Elanor who heard the conversation became angry. "No! He's mine!"

Victor had no idea what he should say. He could only shake his head and mess up Evelyne's hair. Secretly, he was thinking what was so good about that man so Evelyne acted like that.
