Chapter 24: The Ancient Civilization

The lieutenant followed the plan and reported the incident to the King via a holographic video call. They were in the meeting hall, where a large projection of the King's face hovered above them.

"That concludes my report, Your Majesty," the lieutenant said.

"Hmm..." The King pondered, his expression grave. Even Fuku and the others were speechless after hearing what had happened.

Suddenly, the System appeared. It was no longer blue, but red. A sign of anger and danger.

[Destroy that crystal at once! This is an order!] The System commanded, its aura so powerful that it knocked out everyone in the office.

The System was the God who had brought Siah to this world. If it was so furious, then the crystal must have been telling the truth. The truth about the ancient civilization and its creator.

A week passed since then. Half of the Islivarian military had arrived at the mountain where the ruins were located. They used an upgraded version of the Aegis Skyblade, a flying vehicle that was bigger and stronger than the original.

Sarah, the lieutenant who had reported to Siah, gave him an update. "As you ordered, we have explored the entire ancient civilization with the help of the other lieutenants who were sent as reinforcements. We have cleared all the obstacles and enemies. Now, only he is waiting for you."

He. The sole survivor of the ancient civilization. The one who had created and destroyed the world. Not a God, but a human. What kind of person was he?

Siah, got in the ancient civilization, soldiers are already guarding the entire ancient civilization, the ancient civilization seems like an underground research building that was build in the mountains.

They arrived, where they found the crystal where that person is. It was guarded by two guards. Those Guards was strong with a level of 500 and an armor of futuristic. Our newest armor.

Mae nodded, and they let them go inside, As they get inside, it was the control room. There, the Core Crystal that has a blue imiting Aura from it.

Siah stepped forward and faced the crystal. "We're here," he said.

[So you're the Siah... Huh...] The Core Crystal spoke in his mind.

"Yes, I've heard the report about you. From what I've seen, the technology here is from the modern era. How did someone from the ancient times have access to it?" Siah asked.

[Like I said, I am the creator. The modern era that you speak of did not exist when I made these things. And besides, that power of yours, it was originally mine.]

"Eh? You mean the system?"

[Yes, I am the system itself.]

"I thought everyone who came from the other world had this."

[They do, but it varies. Yours is mine, the advanced technology. In the ancient city, the modern technology was the advanced technology. But since you came from the modern era, yours is even more advanced.]

The system appeared again, red and angry. [Destroy that crystal!!!]

"Siah!" Fuku shouted.

The memory showed him the people of the past, the civilization that once thrived. The crystal was the leader of the whole continent. In the past, the continent was united and not divided.

[I thought it was the end, and the start of a new civilization. But I was wrong. The gods who were watching us fight enjoyed it. They divided the continent to share it among themselves.]

[I tried to fight back when I recovered a bit, but I was defeated. My original body was destroyed, leaving only my consciousness behind. And this is what I am now.]

"If I'm correct, the one you fought was the one who turned into an evil god, right?"

[Yes, I wanted to kill it, but I didn't know that it would turn into an evil god... What a failure.]

The place where they were now was a pure white space. A room with no walls, no ceiling, no floor. Just white.

"The god who brought me here told me to kill the evil god to protect the continent that they were assigned to. But after learning all this, I don't know what to believe anymore. However, one thing is clear. Both of you want to kill the evil god. Before it can harm more people, I'll kill it first. Then I'll deal with the others."

Dozens of systems appeared, forming a human-like shape. They surrounded and enveloped the crystal.

Every part of the system-human began to change. The systems bought robot parts and artificial skin, using Siah's credits. They assembled them into a realistic body, covering the crystal inside. The systems also bought clothes and accessories, dressing up the body. They even bought a wig and a pair of glasses, giving the body a distinctive look.

The process took only a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity to Siah. They watched in awe and disbelief as the crystal transformed into a human.

Siah stared at the crystal-human in shock. She looked like a young woman, with long white hair and a robotic arm. She wore a black outfit with a long flowing coat, and held a blue orb in her hand. As soon as she opened her eyes, the orb disappeared.

She had a purple aura and purple eyes, which contrasted with her pale skin. "This is my real body," she said, extending her hand. "Shall we go?"

"Go where?" Siah asked, still confused.

"To the evil god's lair, of course. I know where it is, and I have a plan to defeat it. But I need your help, Siah. You have my power, after all."

"What power? What plan? And why do you look like a girl?" Siah bombarded her with questions.

She smiled and shrugged. "I'll explain everything on the way. And I look like a girl because I like this appearance. It's more fun than being a crystal, don't you think?"

She grabbed Siah's hand and pulled him towards the exit. "Come on, we don't have much time. The evil god is getting stronger every day. We have to stop it before it destroys the world."

Siah then got conscious, "Siah! I'm glad you're okay!" Fuku said with concern.

Siah tried to sit down, he looked at the crystal it got destroyed. "Hey, what happened to the crystal?" Siah asked

"As soon as it got destroyed, you woke up" Fuku replied

"I see... How long was I unconscious?" Siah asked

"It's just 5 minutes" the crystal with her human body said as she get near them.

"Who...?" Fuku asked

"Oh, my apologies, my name is Zara, I was the core crystal earlier"

"Calm down Fuku, she's telling the truth.

"We've come" Siah said

[ ...., So you're the Siah... Huh... ] The Core Crystal said

"Yes, I heard the report about you, looking from the things that got survived around here, it's all the modern era technology, how come someone from the ancient times have the technology of the modern era?" Siah asked

[ Like I said, I am the creator, the modern era that you are talking about still haven't exists when I crated these, and besides, that power of yours, is originally mine ]

"I thought everyone from the other world that got here have this?"

[ Yes, but it varies, yours are mine, the advanced technology, in the ancient city the modern times are the advanced technology, but since you came fron the modern era yours are much more advanced ]

Siah tried to sit up, feeling a sharp pain in his head. He looked around and saw the shattered pieces of the crystal in front of him. "What happened to the crystal?" he asked.

"It exploded and then you passed out," Fuku explained. "We thought you were dead."

"I see... How long have I been unconscious?" Siah wondered.

"Only five minutes," the girl said. She was standing next to Siah, holding his hand. She had long white hair and a robotic arm. She wore a black outfit with a long flowing coat.

"Who are you?" Fuku asked, suspicious of her.

"Oh, my apologies. My name is Zara, pleased to meet you," she said, smiling and striking a pose.

Siah recognized her voice. It was the same as the system, or the crystal, or the creator of the world. He remembered what she had told him before the crystal exploded. She had a plan to defeat the evil god, and she needed his help. She had also transformed into a human, using his power and credits.

"It's okay, Fuku. She's telling the truth. I'll explain everything later. Let's get out of here first," Siah said, getting up with Zara's help.

Fuku followed them, feeling uneasy. He didn't trust the crystal-human, or the system, or whatever she was. He wondered what she was hiding, and what her true intentions were. He hoped that Siah knew what he was doing, and that he wouldn't regret his decision.
