"What do you mean we need to pay more for that information?!" Cassius slammed his fist on the table, his blue eyes boring into the man sitting across from him.
"Wasn't this supposed to be a full package?"
The man in the black robe, unshaken by the outburst, simply shrugged. "Look, you asked for information about the Châtiment des Cendres. What I've provided is what you paid for," he replied smoothly.
"They're an old organization with deep ties to the Dusk Merchant Alliance. They don't give up secrets easily, and neither do I."
Cassius narrowed his eyes, his fingers itching to grab the man by the throat. "And if I want more?"
The man smirked, rubbing his thumb and index fingers together, the universal signal for payment. "Then you'll need to pay more for it."
"You—!" Cassius growled, rising from his chair, but Rosetta's hand shot out, gripping his arm tightly before he could lunge at the informant.
