The Truth Revealed 3

As one of the people threw a dagger at her, at the same time she let go of her powers and before they knew what was happening...

A loud thunder and lightning followed, the dagger was flung back. The people had to dodge to avoid it meeting them.

"Lightning!"

Everyone was shocked while some were terrified out of their wits. It has indeed been eighteen years since the last saw that power.

The guardians, Lady Vita, Lady Phoebe and Lady Livia were shocked as well. They had believed she was the princess because they trusted Lady Ariana and Lady Ariadna, but witnessing it first hand...

Ariana and Ariadna were equally shocked, they had never witness Isabel use her powers, this was incredible.

"Still have doubt's about she being the princess?" a voice called out from behind Trevor.

All heads turned to the owner of the voice, one by one they dropped their weapons and half knelt to bow to Isabel.

"We are sorry princess. Forgive us" they all chorused.

Isabel looked at all of them and the anger that once was slowly faded. She knew why her parents had sacrificed for them. They were loyal and for the first time since she found out who she was, she felt the heavy weight on duty on her shoulders.

It was her duty to protect them and their loyalty stayed pure and true. She couldn't be angry at them, not to these ones who chose to stand and fight for their kingdom, their home, waiting for her arrival to take back what they owned.

"Please rise" slowly they rose to their feet with heads still down.

"I have forgiven you. After all you only did what you thought was right."

"Isabel!" Ariana called.

She turned to face the woman who had a certain warmth in her eyes, "Yes aunt?"

"Let it go" she gestured with her chin towards Isabel's hands that still had lightning surrounding them.

Isabel follows the trail of Ariana's gaze, that's when she realized she hadn't let go of her powers till now and might have been the reason for the earlier fear in the eyes of her people.

"I'm sorry" was all she blurted out as she calmed herself.

"It's okay dear. No one is angry, just let it go nice and easy. Steady your breath, feel it flow in your body, connect with your powers and own it" Ariana guided her.

"Don't force it. Take it easy" Olivia quickly added.

She tried steadying herself, calm and gentle breathing, in, out, in, out. Then she focused deep within and felt her powers. It coursed through her, like her blood, her life force.

With each breath, she could feel it. It was alive inside her. She was getting excited, and the lightning was increasing rather than coming to a stop, scaring everyone.

"Isabel stop!" Jareth called her.

Her eyes flung open as she saw the lightning surrounding her. There was fear eminent in her eyes.

"Child, it's okay. Don't be scared. Relax okay, its all in you. It is alive inside you and would obey you. You own it and you can control it. Easy, easy, steady, calm down and watch your breathing" the older lady instructed her.

She followed her words and tried again, in a few minutes it all stopped.

"Open your eyes child, you did it" she instructed yet again.

She did as she was told and was surprised. Jasper rushed from behind Trevor and hugged her tight.

"You did it Isa, you did it! I'm proud of you" he said still hugging her as she melted into his embrace.

Heavens knew she needed that right now. It's all been too much for her. Before either of them knew what was happening, sound of clapping reverberated everywhere.

Sorry for the wait, hello everyone.
