Surprise

She looked at Williams quickly dismissing him.

"You don't look happy to see me." Dora crossed her arms and twitched her lips.

"I am happy, I'm just confused. You told me to pick you at the airport in three hours over the phone like over an hour ago." Esmeralda walked up to her slowly.

This just doesn't make sense.

"And I decided to come here by myself! Viola!" Dora covered up the distance between them, grabbed Esmeralda's wrist and pulled her towards a sofa at one side of the office. "I have so much to tell you."

Esmeralda settled into the sofa, still looking at Dora with confusion. She seemed very happy, even sounded happy. Not like how she had sounded on the phone.

"What happened between those two hours? I don't get." Esmeralda paused for a while, wondering what could had the ability to switch her mood up like this. "You made a mistake about seeing Joseph?"

Dora looked at her for a spilt second before her face settled into a light smile and she waved her hand dismissively. "Yes, I didn't see Joseph. It hadn't been him."

Esmeralda sighed in relief. That explained it...at least. The happiness that the confusion had suppressed unleashed in her veins and she pulled Dora into a tight embrace. "Oh, it so good to have you back."

"Finally, I was thinking I was never going to get that hug." Dora's arms wrapped around Esmeralda. "You have no idea how much I have missed you, Esmeralda."

"Esmeralda?" She pulled away, a light smile on her face. "One week to La Dreamz and you are calling me that. Come on, I remain your Puffy."

"Of course, Puffy." Dora giggled.

"So what would you like to drink? Eat?"

"Nothing."

"Turning down food?" Esmeralda gasped as though horrified. "What have they done to you?!"

"Stop it." Dora giggled loudly this time, when she stopped, Esmeralda was staring at her with glassy eyes.

"I'm really happy to see you happy like this. When I saw you two weeks ago, you looked so broken, I was so scared." She grasped her friend's hand tightly, feeling it warm against her own. "It is good to see you happy again."

"Better don't start crying, I might just start crying too."

Esmeralda nodded slowly and blinked the tears away, when she spoke now, her voice was filled with more excitement. "This is good!" She clapped. "With the break up, the money you had great plans upon and to discover that your grandmother placed a condition over it?! Why does she want you to get married so bad? You had great plans for that money." Esmeralda paused before sighing finally in relief. "Just so glad you are handling it all great."

Something flashed in Dora's eyes but Esmeralda couldn't really tell what it was.

"About that--" Dora started and sunk her fingers up. Esmeralda found this weird though. What was she doing? "I wanted to tell you that I just got married."

Esmeralda's eyes went wide immediately.

What?!

Dora quickly rambled on about how she had found the perfect guy of her dreams at La Dreamz just after five days of being there. No matter how hard, Esmeralda tried to picture it, something just wasn't clicking right.

"And the call about how seeing Joseph had messed up your trip?" Esmeralda countered again, her mind set with the opinion that her friend was sick and in need of great help.

Dora only chuckled lightly like as if she was embarrassed. "It is a relapse. I really hope that Leo never finds out about that. It would really break him. You know he is so sweet and all, I just--"

"This just doesn't make any sense! From what you have said, you know nothing about him, nor his family."

"His name is Leo and he is 27." Dora crossed her arms, a light glare on her face. "He is a businessman and his birthday is on--"

"What business does he do?"

Dora opened her mouth quickly to say something but she stopped like as if realizing that this was the first time she had even thought of that. "Who cares?" She shrugged dismissively. "He does business and I know it is legal."

Esmeralda shook her head. Something was definably wrong with Dora. She wasn't even sounding like herself. Dora used to take relationships seriously and she would never say all these gullible words.

She decided that she needed to quickly get her friend a therapist.

That was when one thought crossed her mind and she sat up.

"...I think he is God-sent."

"Does he know about the millions that are waiting for you once you stay married for six months?"

"Of course." She beamed, leaning forward a bit. That was when Esmeralda's eyes flew to the hourglass tattoo on Dora's shoulder, it seemed to be moving but that was impossible. It must just be her eyes.

Esmeralda wanted to say something about the tattoo, considering that Dora hated needles but she didn't have time to comment on something so small when she had bigger problems at the moment.

Dora's voice easily seeped into her ears once again. "That was one of the first things we spoke about in the beach."

Esmeralda clenched her fists against the sofa.

"You don't seem to like Leo. Why are you like this? it like you are against him. Before you even start your conspiracies, I need you to remember that love comes in mysterious ways."

"So does fraud." Esmeralda stood up, the sound of her heels clicking against the floor filled the office as she walked to her desk quickly. She picked up her phone, dailing away on it.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting you a therapist. You need help and that Leo boy knows you are weak right now. He is not God-sent, he is fraud-sent."

Dora eyes flew wide with fear and she dashed across the room. Pulling Esmeralda's phone away from her quickly, and hanging up the call.

"What are you doing?! I'm trying to help you!" Esmeralda reached out for her phone and Dora stepped back quickly.

"I should have known you will see past all of that." Dora said in-between heavy breathing. "See I--I just didn't want you thinking any less of me, okay? You also have to promise that you tell my parents when they call that I and Leo are legit couples. Say you know Leo or something."

Esmeralda looked on confused before standing up straight once again. "What exactly is going on?"

"Fine, I will tell you everything. Listen and listen very carefully. By the time I'm done, I will be too embarrassed to repeat myself." She paused for a while. "Can we, please, just go back and sit down."

Esmeralda nodded and went back to the Sofa, Dora followed hehind.

Once they were seated, Dora started. "I have relapse on the whole Joseph thing sometimes but I'm pushing fine. I just knew I could do better if I had that money with me. That is why I got married."

"That doesn't expl--"

"I'm not done. Someone at La Dreamz introduced me to this app..." Dora sucked in a deep breath as if trying to find the strength to move on.

"You met Leo on a dating site?" Esmeralda scoffed. "You hate dating sites."

"It wasn't a dating site. It was an app, Order an Husband app."

Esmeralda was too shock to talk. What was the meaning of all of these?

"Esm-- I mean Puffy. I ordered Leo on that app."
