Chapter 22: Breakfast at home with Chicken soup and grilled mushrooms

Bai Yi Yang woke up as usual, 6.00 am and busy around in the kitchen.

Bai Yi Chen also seems to have woken up earlier than usual, he washed his face went to the kitchen.

"Yang Yang, if we suddenly have any emergency regarding money again then can you handle it?" Bai Yi Chen suddenly asked. Bai Yi Yang who is squatting next to a brazier in the courtyard turn her head.

"Why?" Bai Yi Yang was taken aback with the sudden question.

"I think I should stop coming to work. The workers are going to come for the next few days, I cannot leave all of you alone at home. Then, we also need to work on the farm after that, rather than working all days but getting a low salary, it's better if I helped out at home. You are too busy. That is why I am asking if you can handle any emergency for now?" He said honestly.

He was a bit embarrassed to say this, which means that he is depending on his sister money from now on but this seems to be the best way. How can Yang Yang handle both children and doing work at the same time.

"Ge, I have been wanting to tell you abut this but I don't want you to quit unwillingly. There really was a lot of work at home, if both of us are here, then we can split up the work." Bai Yi Yang said, she want more than anyone for Bai Yi Chen to quit his work. If she want to go to the woods, how can she feel reassured to leave the children here at home? It is really better if Bai Yi Chen is also here.

"Then I will call the factory later to say that I won't be coming again." Bai Yi Chen just need a little encouragement, he actually already decided to quit.

"En." Bai Yi Yang smiled.

"Let me grilled the mushrooms, you go inside." He said and took over the grilling job. Bai Yi Yang look at him with complicated look.

"My grilling skill is not bad, you have been influenced by the children." Bai Yi Chen said.

Bai Yi Yang laugh and return to the kitchen. They still have the soup and the rice is cooking, so there really is nothing else to do.

So she went to the field to rearrange the mushrooms to dry. They will be completely dry by evening she estimated, she took some picture of each kind and return to the kitchen.

She send the pictures to Boss Sun and search online to look for model furniture. If she saw something she like then she will save it. Later she will ask her siblings to choose the type of design they like and make them.

Right, she also need to show them some interior design so that she can plan the look of their room. She didn't care that it is a traditional looking courtyard house, inside, she will transform it into a modern house.

Bai Yi Chen came in with smoking hot grilled mushrooms. Bai Yi Yang drooled, it really look delicious.

"Ge, not bad ah.." Bai Yi Yang move closer to the plate and inhale the scent.

"En.." Bai Yi Chen answer shortly but there are a trace of proudness on his face.

"I will wake up the other to eat." Bai Yi Chen went into the Main House first then to the East house, he later came out with the sleepy Bai Yi Mo in his arm. Bai Yi Ling also came hand in hand with Bai Yi Fang.

Bai Yi Yang quickly scooped out the rice into their bowl and directly lift up the whole pot of fragrant chicken soup.

'Host, stop being shameless, it was Bai Yi Chen who make the grilled mushroom'

Humph, can't even take small advantage. Bai Yi Yang thought.

"So fragrant, Fang Fang is hungry." Bai Yi Fang comment, her eyes is properly open now.

Last night, the children didn't really ate, one reason was because they were scolded and the other reason is because they ate ice cream not long before dinner, it's no wonder that they are hungry now.

Bai Yi Yang helped to blow on the hot chicken soup before giving it to Fang Fang. Fang Fang knows that she need to blow first but she usually take too long.

Bai Yi Fang who is the most excited about eating the expensive mushroom just had a so-so reaction, it was Bai Yi Chen who fell in love with it, so he ate the most.

'What an expensive taste' Bai Yi Yang thought.

Bai Yi Yang also like the taste a lot, Xiao Ling was okay and the children didn't take any more after finishing the one in their bowl. Bai Yi Yang sliced the mushroom into long pieces then it was grilled with only basic seasoning, it was very fragrant.

Just when they are in the middle of eating breakfast, a familiar voice called out from the main gate.

"Xiao Mo, Xiao Mo!" It was little Shitou voice.

"Oh, its Shitou." Bai Yi Mo recognise his voice right away.

"En, call him in to eat breakfast." Bai Yi Chen said. Bai Yi Mo run out of the kitchen and bring Shitou with him.

An additional person at the table is not a problem, they have 6 seats available so Shitou naturally have a seat. And as expected, when Bai Yi Chen asked if he has had his breakfast, Shitou shakes his head side by side, blushing when he saw the fragrant food on the table.

Bai Yi Yang stood up and filled a bowl of rice and also took an empty bowl for the chicken soup.

Bai Yi Yang quite like Shitou, he is polite and know his manners. He is also best friend with Xiao Mo so of course he is a good kid.

"Xiao Mo, let Shitou taste the grilled mushrooms." Bai Yi Yang said.

"This is called..Masutake…Matsutake..anyway, this is an expensive mushroom that sells for thousands of yuan, you taste it." Bai Yi Mo said proudly, he also found a stalk yesterday. He generously give Shitou a big piece.

"Shitou gege, it is very delicious." Said Bai Yi Fang who only ate one piece.

Shitou eyes widened and he tasted the grilled mushrooms. When it enters his mouth, he immediately like the taste. It didn't take long for the big piece to disappear.

Bai Yi Yang put another piece onto his bowl and the last one went into Bai Yi Chen bowl.

With and additional person, the chicken soup is also finished. They really ate fully this morning.

When Bai Yi Chen is cleaning the table and dishes, the children chatted while leaning back on the chair with round stomach.

"Oh right, I came here to ask Yang jiejie if you are going to go fishing in the near future?" Shitou said.

"Why?" Bai Yi Yang also sat down again.

"After Yang jiejie went fishing that day, a lot of people went fishing too. The first day was okay but yesterday we stayed there the whole day but only got a few small fishes. My dad said that my fishing luck must have been used up." Shitou said.

"Ohh.." Bai Yi Yang smiled.

'What does it mean system?'

'That's partially true. The luck you passed on wasn't permanent, only temporary, but another reason is because the fish at that area has become less after many people went fishing.'

'En, you are right' Bai Yi Yang also think that the later is the real reason

"So, if Yang jiejie can go fishing with us again..?" Shitou said meaningfully. Children is really children after all. If it were an adult, Bai Yi Yang may have think that the person is trying to take profit from her.

"Yes jiejie, let's go fishing again." Xiao Mo chimed in.

"You boys are really free. You think jiejie is free like you bunch? You cannot get big fish anymore because the fish has all been fished out, what more, with that many people, the fishes must have been scared away." Xiao Ling said, scolding the two boys.

"What Xiao Ling said is correct. But when I go one day, I will tell you." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Ohh, alright." Shitou nod happily.

"Right Shitou, my jiejie bought me a bicycle. Jie, can I show Shitou the bicycle?" Bai Yi Mo suddenly remember about his bicycle. He is excited to show it off but he didn't forget to ask for permission.

Last night, they all put the things in the main house, as for the bicycle, it was also put there, he haven't ride it yet.

"Go ahead, just make sure not to mess up things in the living room." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Yes." Bai Yi Mo quickly bring Shitou to the Main House, Bai Yi Fang also tagged around.

"Jie, are you sure its okay to let them play there. Your tools are still there." Bai Yi Ling said, she cannot trust the little guys.

"It's okay. Xiao Mo and Fang Fang is a good kid, they won't repeat their mistakes." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Alright." Bai Yi Ling nod, but she is still worried.

Once in a while they will hear laughing sounds from the Main House, Bai Yi Mo and Bai Yi Fang cooperate to show off the bicycle, they also talk about their trip to town, eating in a restaurant, going to the supermarket and buying ice cream. Can't they be a bit more reserved? Bai Yi Yang sigh softly.

"Jie, I have thought about a name for the social media account, how about Xiao Bai's Little Garden?" She said then blushed afterwards.

"En, that sounds good. Lets go with that." Bai Yi Yang immediately agree. She knows that Bai Yi Ling must have thought about it all night.

"Is it okay?" Bai Yi Ling ask cautiously.

"Yes. It's yours so you should name it." Bai Yi Yang encourage her.

Bai Yi Ling smile and told Bai Yi Yang about where she is going to put the flowers later, if they put it at the area near the Main house, it will look very pretty.

Not long after, the three children also came out from the Main House still chatting.

"Have you seen enough?" Bai Yi Yang asked.

"Yes!" They answer uniformly.

"I need to leave now, if not my mom going to scold me." Shitou said.

"En, go ahead. This morning Xiao Mo is busy, he can only go play with you boys in the evening." This is her reminding Xiao Mo that he has a punishment to do.

"Yeah, later I will come to see you guys." Xiao Mo said as he sent Shitou out after he said goodbye to the rest of Bai siblings
