Soon the other contestants began to competes, which brought back the lost enthusiasm into the crowd.

Xue Yiran was done with five out of her six matches. The sixth match would be her last match for today.

A lot of contestants had all been eliminated during the match. Only four out of the contestants hadn't yet been eliminated. Two were from Roland academy. The third was from the academy on the second rank list, and Xue Yiran being the fourth person.

Although he was also taken aback by Xue Yiran contracted beast, Colton had not expected Xue Yiran to last up to this round. If she won this round, then it's highly possible that he would be facing against her in the final round.

Looking into the dense crowd, Colton was looking for a certain figure. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the figure.

"Who do you think will emerge as the victor of this match?"

"Of course, it's Roland academy!" One of the students in the audience shouted.

You should all recognize them, right. Mateo performance throughout the competition has been outstanding. His opponents were all dealt with in an instant. As for Colton, he's known to be a close friend of the crown prince. It's said that the two spend all time training together. You all know how strong the crown prince is. "Oh my, I'm so scared." The Roland Academy student feign a frightful expression, before bursting into laughter.

Jon was furious, but he could only heed to his pals' words and sit back down. However, his furious gaze never left that student from Roland academy who had just mocked him.

None of the two contestants on the arena had any idea of the rivalries that had just occurred in the audience.

Letting out a big yawn, Mateo lifted his arms and began a stretching exercise. It wasn't until the final popping sound from a joints stretch was heard, did he finally raised his head to look at his opponent. His thin lips lifted into a smile when he met Xue Yiran cold eyes. "Let's end this as fast as possible, shall we?"

"Of course. A minute would be too long to end this." Xue Yiran replied back, a smile appearing on her face. However, the coldness in her eyes darted at him, were clearer than ever.

"One minute. I like that. Looks like I won't be holding back then. Flame arrow!" At his shout, arrows of flames formed above the arena and lunged straight at Xue Yiran.

Xue Yiran had already gotten the info from susu about Mateo contracted beast. The flame arrows skill that Mateo had just executed was one of the abilities of his contracted beast, named 'Scarlet flame drake'. Unlike Gale's poisonous flame bird, which has the ability to manipulate both flame and poison, the scarlet flame drake only has the ability to manipulate the flame element. Though the two beasts did share the same elemental weakness, the scarlet flame drake has an additional water elemental weakness.

However, since Sky's abilities falls into the wind elemental category, it seems to be futile against fire elemental attacks. But with Xue Yiran experience in combat, such a flaw can totally be ignored.

Wallowing herself in a tornado cocoon, the might of the wind kills off the flame arrows that were darted towards her.

But that was not all from Mateo.

"Hell lava." Stomping his foot onto the ground, the whole ground began to solidify into a pool of lava. Now, Xue Yiran could only suspend herself into the midair to fight. She dashes forward at Mateo, but another flame arrows were fired at her. She could only split her attention to fend against those arrows.

The fight began to get intense. In the midway, Xue Yiran began to notice something about Mateo fighting trajectory. The other person seems to always target her face whenever they clash together. It seems like he was hell bent on destroying her appearance.

Susu had only gotten the info that Mateo was working with Aviva. As for the deal they had made together, he didn't know. But from Mateo constant actions, it seems like the deal they had agreed upon was for him to ruin her appearance.

Although Xue Yiran had never paid much attention to her appearance, but to a girl, everyone knows that the appearance matters the most. In the end, Aviva's plan could be said to be a very sinister one.

A liquidified flame was thrown onto Xue Yiran face, which she narrowly avoided. The scene had garnered a huge gasp from everyone.

Just like the audience, the judges were also finding Mateo action unbecoming. A female judge couldn't help but voice out.

"It seems like your Roland academy reputation is going to go downward after this, vice president Edward. Targeting the female contestant face, truly shows how cunning this contestant heart is. If it continues like this, then I suggest we call this match a tie."

At the female judge words, vice president Edward couldn't refute her. He was also very disdainful at Mateo actions, but there was nothing he could do. Seems like that guy needed some rehabilitation.
