The Man In The Shadows

The fleet of sport cars streaked out of the parking lot as soon as the gang of thiefs wired the switches of the vehicles.

Meanwhile

The 5 black vans that barged in the parking lot ealier on trailed after the sport cars. Catherine reached for her right pocket, in doing so she pulled out her walkie-talkie and placed the device close to her lips, "All units! Do you copy? The perpetrators have embezzled the sport cars! I repeat the perpetrators have embeezzled the sport cars! Head into position right now!" She arose to her feet and bolted to her vehicle, she opened the door and switched on the vehicle. Daniel followed and climbed aboard the passenger seat. She then closed the door and pressed her foot on the accelerator, thus causing the vehicle to pick up astounding speeds.

Meanwhile

The streak of sport cars bolted down Park Avenue like a stampede of viscious buffalos, inciting confusion amonst other drivers. Not only that but fear stirred unevenly in the hearts of the pedestrians. To make matters worse worse, a siren of police vehicles stormed after them. Then after, 5 police vehicles stepped foward moving into 5 lanes at the same pace. An officer from the 3rd vehicle cropped his head out and placed a speaker in front of his mouth. "This is the police! Pull over now!" In response, the thugs whom occupied the carraidge of the van stepped forward and opened the back doors. They aimed their Ak-12 assualt weapons towards the wind skreen of the wailing vehicles. With their fingers in tact, they pulled the trigger and fired hundrens of bullets. The bullets soared through the air and pierced through the wind skreens of the vehicles. Eventually the bullets blew each of their heads of their necks with undeniable force, blood painting the seats from behind. This caused each vehicle to lose motion and spiral out of control into numerous directions. For instance, 2 cars collided through the windows of a bakery while one collided against a pole. The remaining 2 vehicles collided against nearby cars. Another row of 5 police vehicles cropped forth, replacing the postion of the other fallen vehicles. This time around, each officer seated on the passanger seat loaded their pistols with a new set of bullets. They cropped their heads of the windows and fired at the attacking thugs, the entire atmosphere clustered with rain of bullets, flying from left to right.

Suddenly a pair of bullets struck the back tires of the van, flattening the tires as the van's velocity decreased significantly. The 7 thugs stumbled over and fell on the floor, one of the them crawled to his feet and grabbed his walkie-talkie."Taylor quick come in Taylor! This is an emergency!" Taylor responded to the call by placing the device close to his ear. "Yeah!" "They shot our tires! Our vehicle is decreasing speed. You need to find a way to get the popos of our tails!" Taylor nodded, "Understood!" Since he was driving the wheels of a mighty Lykan Hypersport, with force he rotated the stirring wheel to the left, prompting the car to turn into a 120 degree angle. The tires screeched against the tar with an additional of smoke emitting from the wheels. He took a turn to the left and continued on a different route. The rest of his men continued straight on the same route that they bolted on. "Taylor what the heck are you doing man?!" Exclaimed one of his subjects through the walkie-talkie. With confidence he said, "I have a plan. The only way to keep the cops of our tail would be if we split up. This will confuse them, thus giving us a chance to escape. Once we have segregated we will meet at the dock's. And keep in mind once we scatter, transition the pace of the vehicles to full throttle!" "Understood!" They all confirmed. With that said, each sport car immediately transioned to different routes one by one, from left to right. "What the hell are they doing?" One officer inquired. Catherine whom was not far from behind replied with exclamation, "They are splitting up! Go after them!" "Which one?!" Inquired the officer. She gritted her teeth and spoke through them, "I don't know god dammit! Just follow the nearest vehicle and immobilise it! We cannot afford to to lose one! Just one of these perpetrators!" "Roger that Luitenant!" In due time all the sport cars and vans segregated into different routes despite the uncertainty of the unknown. The police forces persued the same van that they had wounded. As usual, a shoot out clustered around the atmosphere like an uncontrollable thirst of flames. However the seven thugs were at a greater disadvantage this time around. Reason being was that the tires dissoveled within the heat of each rotation, eminantly allowing the steel rims to graze through the tar. This is not only caused sparks to glisten out, as well as making it difficult for the driver to maintain the direction of the vehicle in one straight line. The van began moving in a zig zig, while grazing through the tar. In due time, 2 police vehicles caught up to the van and bumped against it on each side, placing it at the centre of attention. The seven thugs stumbled and fell back on the floor. "We have you surrounded! Pull over now! " Suddenly more police vehicles overtook the van and drove in front of it. Out of desperation and arrogance, the driver turned the stirring wheel to the right, this enabled the van to push against the vehicle on right. Not only that but as well as to run through the infrastructure of a jewelry shop. Then after, every single police vehicle haulted and surrounded the entire shop. A vast majority of the police officials marched out of their vehicles and circled the area of the shop with their guns raised foward. Luitenant Smith stepped forward and uttered a comand with the aid of a speaker, "We have the entire place surrounded! Step outside the building now!" Suddenly from the inside, each thug stepped out of the building and raised their hands while she continued, "Place your hands on your head now!" They followed her obludge and placed their hands on their heads while 7 of her male colleagues bolted towards them, as soon as they stood toe to toe with them. They searched them from the upper section of the bodies until the knees. There after they cuffed them. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against at the court of law!" Stated each of her colleagues, they dragged them towards their vehicles and shoved them inside.

An hour later Police

Department Luitenant Smith and her colleagues dragged the scurvy ratches to their cells, after a couple of seconds each of them were called in by one into the interrogation room.

Interrogation room

A young lad by the name of Keiran Simmons was brought in, he was white in ethniticity and had very short hair. One could say that his hair was so short that his scalp was slightly visible. He had green emerald eyes and a graze on his forehead. As he took 4 steps inside the room he first looked around his surroundings. A bold globe shone bright rays around a portion of the room. Bright rays illuminated the silver smooth desk, while darkness occupied the background of the room. He watched as the lovely Catherine crossed her legs awaiting for him to take a seat. He pulled the chair away from the desk and sat down. He tapped his fingers while shinning a smile at her. She in turn glared at him with dark, dim, cold eyes. She reached for her right pocket and pulled out an audio recording device. She pressed the button and spoke. "Keiran Simmons I presume." "Yes Luitenant." "How does it feel knowing very well that you might be going to jail for a long long time." Keiran scoffed, "First of all hotstuff I need to clarify something with you. I am not going to jail, second and foremost has anybody told how hot you are." She shun a hole through his eyes and continued, "Says who Mr Simmons. After all, you and buddies worked hand in hand with the perpetrators. Nevertheles you wielded weapons that are used by military officials. Not only that but you and your colleagues were responsible for the deaths of 10 police staff. Tell me isn't that enough evidence to put you in jail for a very long time! Huh Mr Simmons?" He glared at her as a frown materialised across his face. "Or we could make things simple where by you can just tell us the names of the people that you have been working with." He scoffed once more, "Listen Luitenant I do not know where this is going. For your information you are waisting your time trying to dig answers from me. I have my rights, I will only talk with my laywer present by my side. And last time I checked his not here." She smirked, "I hope you are happy to know that you will be spresing the rest of your days here in until your trail." He pointed at her, "Who do you think you are to hold me here? I want my phone call now! My lawyer will hear about this!"

From behind 2 of her male colleague's grabbed him by the cuffs and dragged him back to his cell.

It was a long night indeed, swifting through a number of block heads whom refused to comply with her demands. This span of the interrogation stretched across the lenght of an hour, thus causing her to return home late that night. Fortunately, she was not the only women whom departed from her a work place late that night.

Meanwhile

At the financial district of Manhatten, a young women stepped out of the building of the F.R.B.N.Y (Federal Reserve Bank Of New York). She was youthful, vibrant and lovely. She had long blond hair, hazel coloured eyes and wore a formal garment consisting of black skirt, a cream-white buttoned shirt, a black blazor and black set of high heels. A tag was clipped on the right lapel of the blazer. If you looked closely enough 'Teslyn Rodgers' would be printed on the surface of the tag. The environment was gloomy and frightening, a huge chill scurried down her spine as she wasted no time as to raise her hand to hault a taxi. Oddly enough there was no sight of any vehicle rambling about, least to say there went much people occupying the entire block.

She looked around from left tor right in anticipation that a taxi would swoop by. Unfortunately there was no sight of vehicle nor man, only a row street light that illuminated the pavements. She bit her lower lip and proceed to move south keeping high repard of any taxi that might pass by. "God I hate this!" She murmered while her legs squirmed slightly as a gush of wind coated her stockings with a breeze. She then proceeded forth, in doing so she caught a glimpse of an unidentified figure. The figure wore a black jacket and covered his facial features with a hood. She glanced at him while he slowly turned his head towards her like an owl. His facial feautures were unidentified as he had covered it with a V for Vandetta mask. The long grin carved on the mask's design sent more chills down her spine. She gasped and haulted, closing her eyes to believe that all of this was a dream. When she opened her eyes, the figure leaning on the pole was not at sight. She sighed and pulled herself together, as she continued down the pavement.

The figure magically cropped up from behind and held firmly onto a long black lasher machete. While she proceeded forth, her instincts kicked in, prompting her to turn around. Despite this, she was hesitant to do so because she held firmly onto her belief that there was nothing behind. Gently the figure stripped the machete of its scabbard, in doing so, a dashing hiss echoed from behind. She then looked back and saw no one, her heart beat pumped more blood vigorously, significantly increasing its pulse. She looked foward and yet again that same figure cropped out of knowwhere. He then wrapped his hand around a street pole and carrassed it by sliding the machete against it. The sharp weapon grazed through the pole, initially causing sparks. A gust of wind flew past, blowing her hair from behind. She closed her eyes once more yearning that this was all a nightmare. When she opened them, he still stood there locking eyes with her while grazing through the pole. She turned back ran back the same way she came from, while running she looked back to see if he ran after her. Odly enough, he continued sawing through the pole still locking eyes with her.

She returned back to the bank and tried to open the door. However the doors were locked, all she could do was too slam agaisnt the door and screaming. "Open the door! Somebody freakin help me!!!!" She screamed, punched and slammed against the door, there was no response. He cropped up from behind, with no explanation as to how he caught up to her. With the swing of the blade, he decapitated her as her head bounced off her shoulders and rolled down the staircase, while blood spewed out from her neck as her corpse fell to the floor.
