A New Bloody Factor

The following morning

"Catherine! Catherine!" "Hmm?" She groaned as tugged herself with the layer of sheets, clinging firmly on the very fabric of the sheets. It was indeed torture arising from her slumber, at last she had some delicant rest. Desiring as to continue with her slumber without interference, for so she thought. "Catherine dear! Its time to wake up!" In response she twisted and hurdled into a ball as she sank her head inside. "Catherine sweety! Its time to wake!" "But...I don't wanna wake up..." She murmered as she continued sleeping. He held her shoulder and shook her, she gave no response. "Jason go away... It's... a Sunday!" "Sorry dear but you have a phone call." He said with a smile. "Who ever it is tell them that I went for a jog or something." She continued as she pushed his hands away. "Its Commissioner Wright dear." She opened her eyes and sat up straight, she rubbed her eyes and hurled out a deep yawn, "What does he want now?" He shrugged while he handed the device to her. She placed it towards her ears, "Good grief Lueitenant! What is the meaning of this?!" She rolled her eyes and responded with her teeth gritted against one another. "Yes Commisioner how may I help you?" Commissioner Wright raised his voice at her. "Have you forgotten your duties Lueitenant?" "No commisioner I have not." "Then why are you sleeping when a huge crises unfolded last night at the Financial district of Manhatten?!" She furrowed her eyebrows with disbelief and inquired, "What crises?" "Get to the Financial District now!" He dropped the call as she in turn gritted her teeth and clenched her left fist, "Agh! I hate my life!"

At The Financial District

She parked her car in front of a rally of people. There were hundrens of people who were gathered around a crime scene, journalists, news reporters, the NYPD and medics. She swtiched off her car and opened her door, in turn she closed her door and made way through the crowd, squezzing and pushing through. Eventually she stood in front of the crowd of people as a red and white striped tape segregated them from the crime scene. She slid under the tape and pottered towards the scene. She stood next to 2 paramedics, Commissioner Wright and Seargant Daniel. All 5 of them surrounded a corpse, the sight truly was deplorable. As soon as her eyes shone a glimpse of the corpse, she covered her mouth with her hands and turned around at once. She held her puke from reaching the middle portion of her oesephagus and returned to the crime scene. "Oh my God! What the hell happened here?" She inquired as the coprse in the centre was slit open and decapitated, all the internal organs were jutting out. The interstines, liver, heart and many more, not to mention the vile odur lurking around. One medic whom crouched on the floor raised his head and answered her inquiry. "It seems as though she was disemboweled." "Yeah I get that! But by who? And why?" "Commissioner Wright answered her inquiry, "So far nobody knows who the perpetrator was...with that said it seems that we have a serial killer on the lose."

3 dejectives whom were in the background took pictures of the entire block. The even took pictures of the tiny droplets of blood that were squirted on the doors of the bank. There after they appraoched the 5 and took more pictures of the corpse.

At the police Department

All 6 police staff were gathered all together in Commissioner Wright's office. Since they were all seated on a set of chairs, he sat on the edge of his desk. "This is truly deplorable. Since when does Manhatten have a deranged manice going around slaughtering people?" Daniel then raised his hand with a pencil at hand. "I believe that this is the first case that we have had like this in a very long time Commissioner. What makes it difficult is that nobody knows who it is? Commissioner twitched his eye, "That is bull Seargant! You are well aware of that aren't you? There have to be witnesses! You cannot tell me that this deranged manice now walks in the darkness and automically appears when there is no one at sight. That is peposterous!" "You know what? I am going to task you Seargant with Luitenant Smith. The both of you are to go the victim's house before sunset and find what ever evidence that you can uphold. In the meantime Detective Alex and Damien will return to the Financial District and speak to as many people as possible. Are we clear on that?" "Yes Commisioner," they all nodded. "Commissioner If I may what about the case of the car thefts." Commissioner Wright smacked his forehead and continued with a sigh, "For now our best chance of tracking down the Superiors of our thieves is to continue to interrogate them. My they reek of stubborness."

Forest Hill Queens

Catherine haulted her vehicle in front of an Estate House. She switched off the vehicle and removed her right leg from the brakes. She unbuckled her seat belt and opened the door. In doing so, Seargant Daniel opened the door on the other side of the car. He followed her as they entered the premises of the yard. As soon as they placed their foothold on the stages of the door steps, she knocked on the door waiting for a response. Eventually the door opened as a young brunette opened the door. "Good afternoon my name is Luitenant Smith and this is my Colleague Seargant Daniel. If you do not mind but we would like to ask you a few questions." The young women nodded.

A couple of minutes later

They were all seated around a table in the dinning room while Mrs Rodgers addressed them. "Teslyn was an ambitious young women. She had a lot of dreams that she had aspired to fulfill. Then before you know it, within a split second life took her away from us after we had parted ways with her on an amazing note." A tear streamed down Mrs Rodger's eyes while Catherine looked firmly into her soul with puppy eyes, sympathising with her. She relieved herself with a sigh and looked down, there after she looked up and inquired. "Did Teslyn have enemies mam? Probably someone whom hated her or perhaps even stalked her?" Mrs Rodgers took a toilet paper and whipped the underside of her eyelid. While the young brunette whom was her youngest daughter held her hand and gently rubbed it. "If she had enemies or someone who stalked her she would have told us. She was so young dejective, she had her whole life planned ahead of her! Why? Why did she have leave us so early?!" She burst into a flood of tears while she watched uncomfortably. Catherine had nothing else to say she closed her eyes and struggled to digest the current situation. "I promise you this. I will find whoever that did this. When I do they will wish that they would have never slaughtered your daughter so gruesomly."

Outside the house

Catherine and Daniel sauntered towards her car, "That was so hard to take in Seargant. Did you see how desponded the Rodger family were? I myself nearly burst into a pool of tears." He looked down with despondance and sighed. "Yep. I have noticed." She opened the gate of the yard and just as she stepped onto the pavement, she bumped against a fellow lad. As their heads collided she fell to the floor while he stood on wobbly legs. He held his forehead and rubbed it. He looked down at her and smilled. "Woops sorry! I should really pay more attention next time."

She looked up while the young lad reached his hand out to her. However things took a bizzare turn, she looked at the crucifix dangling around his neck. It reminded her of the same Crucifix that Taylor had worn the previous day. Indeed it was Taylor, the only difference was that he wore a mask the previous night. She was hesitant at first but eventually, she grabbed his hand while he pulled her up. "Thank you." She said as she continued gawking at the necklace. "That crucifix...I've seen it before. Could this guy be one of the thugs?" "Mam mam?" Taylor yelled; she snapped out of her state of trans and responded. "Oh yeah sorry I guess you must've knocked me out really hard." She chuckled. "Are you alright?" Taylor inquired. "Yeah! Yeah! I am." "That's good to know."

As he was about to walk off, she called out to him. "Wait!" He turned around and looked back at her. "Yeah! Is something wrong?" "No no no! That's a pretty necklace you have right there." He nodded and said with a smile. "Thanks. My mother once gave this to me before she passed on." He paused for a brief a moment, then later continued. "What's your name?" He inquired. "Catherine Smith and yours?" She inquired with a smile. "Taylor..Taylor Runners." They shook hands while she continued. "I know we just met but we should get to know more about each other Taylor." He first raised his eyebrows with suspicioune, eventually he brushed his suspicioune off and said, "Yeah! Can I have your numbers then?" "Sure thing." While Catherine created her contact on his device Daniel watched from the side with suspicioune. "Isn't she supposed to be married? Why is she giving a stranger her numbers?" As soon as she saved her contacts in his device she responded with a smile. "Its am honour to meet you. Give me a call sometime!" She suggested. "I sure will do."

As soon as he walked off, the 2 got inside her car vehicle and buckled their seatbelts. "What was that all about?" Daniel inquired. "Sergant! I think we may have found one of our suspects of the car thefts." He squinted with bewilderedment. "How so?" "Our friend here Taylor has the same cruxifix that one of the thugs wore last night." He squinted and further asked himself, "Last night? What do you mean?" "If you payed attention last night. Before every thug burst into the scene from the boot of the van. One of the them started the shoot out, and that person who started the shoot out wore the very same necklace as Taylor." Seargant Daniel gasped, "That's why you gave him your numbers right? To lead him on? In case if we do not get something evident from the other thugs that we captured...We might as well get something from him right?" "Precisely." She said with a nod.
