I am her husband

"Henry, I'm not sure how to inform her family." Jenny softly said from behind him. Her eyes still wet with unshed tears, in shock on what happened a few hours ago.

"How about the news?" Henry asked them, including John and Sam who's standing next to Jenny, trying to comfort her.

"The movie executives don't want the accident to come out so they're keeping a close eye on the media. Good thing there was no reporters on set when it happened so right now, there's no news about it yet."

"Okay. I will inform her parents myself once we get the results. There's no need to worry them now when we don't know what to say as of yet."

The rest of the people in the room nodded their head in agreement to Henry's decision. Jenny pulled out her phone, updating Lina's agent and the rest of their team who are also worried. But if they all gather in the hospital, it will attract attention. The hospital has a close relationship to Lina as she is a generous benefactor to their children's ward and a regular volunteer to their outreach programs. They have graciously kept her accident a secret even without a request from John or Sam.

Just then, the door opened and two doctors came in. The doctor that came in first faltered a little bit as he saw Henry sitting beside Lina's bed, holding her hand.

Henry stood up as both doctors wearing their white coats reached Lina's bed side.

Jenny moved closer and asked, "How is she? Is she okay?" panicking a little bit, her voice breaking.

"Don't worry Jenny." Dr Alex assured Jenny but looked towards Henry. His looks conveying his question as to who he is and if he can proceed.

"I'm Wu Henry, Lina's husband. Please update us on the results." Henry told him.

"Husband?" Dr Alex asked sharply, looking at Jenny.

"Yes, but that is not important at the moment. Do you have her results?" Henry said, pointedly staring at Dr John.

The second doctor spoke first. "I'm Dr Lopez, orthopedic doctor here in Novaly Med. The results of the scans confirmed that she sustained a hairline fracture on her right clavicle. Good thing there's no signs that she sustained severe injuries on her body, internally, especially her head." He looked towards Dr Alex who seemed to have composed himself now.

"Fortunately, there's no swelling in her brains or any internal bleeding found in the scans. But there's still a probability of a concussion which we will only know when she wakes up. She's also very dehydrated because of what she went through the past few weeks with her stomach bug." Dr Alex stated.

"When do we expect her to wake up?" Henry asked.

"She can wake up anytime, her body is trying to rest and gain some strength right now. But given her possible concussion, we can't be sure when exactly. But from the tests, there's nothing that we should be worried about. For now, we'll just have to wait and see how we can help her further when she wakes up."

"How about her fracture? Will she be in pain?" Henry asked Dr Lopez directly as the orthopedic doctor.

"It's expected for her to have some muscle pain and soreness, we can give her medicine to help her manage it. For the fracture, her right arm will need to be in a sling for 4 to 6 weeks and some physical therapy to make sure it heals properly and quickly."

"Thank you Doctors." Henry said as he sat down again, pulling out his phone. He did not notice the sharp look Dr John has sent his way as they left Lina's room, Jenny thanking them as they went.

He called his father first to inform him of what had happened and then Zhang Yong. He's confident that they will take care of what he cannot attend to while he's with Lina.

"Jenny, please adjust Lina's schedule and free at least 2 months off of it. She needs to properly care for her injuries, I'll take her to Miresa with me."

"I think we'll need to consult that with her first or her parents." John said.

"I'm her husband. I have let her do what she wanted without getting involved. This time I'm in charge." Henry firmly informed everybody in the room, daring them to go against him.

"But some of the projects might ask for compensation if we cancel. Some, we can reschedule of course." Sam informed them. Though Lina is in demand, some of her projects have been booked way in advance and with such a short notice, they might not be willing to reschedule.

"Pay them. Don't even negotiate. If they break the contract because of this, just pay them as per the contract you've signed with them." Henry simply said as he called Tomas and then Maria next. Telling them both not to worry and not to rush to Novaly yet. Henry is planning on flying to Miresa as soon as Lina can. They agreed to wait and not rush to Miresa as long as they get updated on any progress.

"By the way, make sure that any projects she does after two months are only located in Asia for at least another month. I don't want her flying all over the planet as soon as she can." Henry informed Jenny before she headed out with Sam. Going to the agency for sure to work on Lina's schedule.

Wang is sitting by the sofa next to John, talking on the phone. Henry heard him talking to Zhang Yong, Butler Li, and the pilot. They're working out the details of Henry's stay and needs for when they return. Which Henry hopes will be happen very soon.

Henry greatly appreciates the efficiency of the people working for him and that of Lina's. That way he can focus on Lina this time.

Guilt is flourishing in his mind, eating him alive. While Lina is but an actress working under schedule, he is his own boss. He can do what he wants to do when he wants to. But he didn't prioritize Lina that he just let his schedule rule him.

He had promised Lina's father and Ki Ha that from their wedding onward they will never have to worry about Lina. But he failed. He has never failed in his life before, and because of his drive to take the company to another level of success he has disregarded his own family. And that is the worst kind of failure there is. He promised in his mind to do better from now on and will never let such a thing happen to her.

While he caressed Lina's hand, urging her to wake up already, wanting to take away her pain. Her hand tightened on his grip all of a sudden. He looked up to see her frowning, her eyes moving behind her closed lids. Slowly she fluttered her eyes open, and for a moment, it focused on him.

"Hi, baby." Henry whispered with a smile.
