Inevitably Bound To Him

Don't fall in love! First rule when you're forced to marry a sinfully tempting CEO. If I had it my way, I will not get married at all, not within this circumstance. But then, that decision was taken from me and was forced to marry a built, gorgeous, powerful and dominating practical stranger. Except every time I look into those dark piercing eyes, and feel his pulse-quickening, toe curling touch , my will to refuse to belong to him crumbles… because I might already be his. Lina is a successful international actress and Henry Wu runs one of the world's most successful company. They have no similar interest as far as their jobs are concerned however… Fate has brought them together, but their happiness is up to them. Excerpt: Lina saw Henry's face turn cold. He hit the table just hard enough to startle her and said. "I'll let you off this time because you don't know me yet. But remember this in the future, future Mrs Wu. Me, marrying you, will not be a marriage on paper only. You are going to be my wife in every sense of the word." "That doesn't mean you own me." Lina replied Henry smiled wickedly, "But that's exactly what it is, baby, and I am yours." Disclaimer: Original image used is not my property and was found unnamed/unmarked before the edit. Honeymoon

"Time to wake up, wife."

Lina felt like she had just closed her eyes when she was being called. She opened her eyes to see Henry leaning over her in bed to wake her up.

'At least I'm not wrapped around him this time,' she thought to herself as she tries to keep herself awake. But that could only be because she didn't have enough time to do so.

Henry leaned closer and gave her a light kiss on her nose and got out of bed. "We have to hurry Nana, let's get ready."

After a big stretch of her arms, she got up to freshen up and get changed, still very sleepy and head feeling heavy from the lack of sleep.

When she was dressed up in jeans and light weight sweater that was set aside for her on the bathroom, she realized that she doesn't know their destination that day, "Where are we going?"

"Kulu." Henry said without looking up from the table in his room. He was looking over some documents and packing some of it in a backpack already packed with his laptop and zipped it up after he was done.

"Take your blanket with you, its cold out."

When Lina was all wrapped up, he pulled the plain black backpack into his one shoulder and then took her hand in his and then they went down straight to the front door where a car is already waiting for them. It's cold being this early in the morning, the heater in the car is well appreciated.

"Why are we leaving so early?" She asked as she yawned, looking out of the car to the quiet and slightly damp city streets of Miresa that only happens on early hours of the day.

"We'll arrive later in the evening, Kulu time. This way, there will be less people to see us, if any." He replied while looking at his phone, his other hand lightly resting on her knees.

Kulu is an island in the Caribbean. Compared to the other islands and countries surrounding it, Kulu has a more relaxed atmosphere and the local prefers to preserve the simple island life they have so there's not much to do in the evening in terms of entertainment because clubs, bars, partying outside until late into the evening is not allowed. The visitors and tourist that visits are those willing to pay the high price of Kulu for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Lina was deep in thought, trying to remember the last time she visited Kulu, when was the last time she was on the beach. Last year was a particularly busy year for her so she couldn't even go for any personal break.

Not long after, they have reached a private airport. Sam was there to open her door and as she stepped out, the plane is right in front of where the car has stopped. It's also not just any plane but its the recently approved prototype of a hybrid plane.

Currently, there's only five of it built and in use in the world. There are two bigger types that are used commercially and three used privately which small and mid-sized. The company behind it was about to go bust about three years ago until they found an investor and now, their orders are in the hundreds. Given the price its going for, that is very good news for them and the investor.

Henry came around the car to where she's standing with Sam and took her hand again before taking the stairs up to the plane.

"This is a Fly HyBird plane, isn't it?" she asked when they were seated. Lina excitedly looked around. The size of it is just like a normal mid-sized private plane but the interior was designed very well. Luxurious and modern but the selling point of this brand is that it is the first plane manufactured that uses a hybrid engine which makes it more economical in the long run with significantly less carbon emissions.

"I didn't know they're also renting out the mid-sized ones." She said absently.

"I am not." Henry answered as he adjusted the heater vent beside her seat.

"What do you mean you're not?" Lina asked.

"I am not renting out the plane."

"Did you borrow it? Do you know the owners of the company?"

"This is mine, ours now."

"This is yours? Like you own it kind of yours?"

"Yeah. Do you want something to drink?" Henry casually answered her.

"But how did you manage to get one so quick? I thought they only took pre-orders a few months ago. I know because I looked into it."

"This is the original mid-sized prototype. I will get the first mid-sized that comes from production brand new, in the meantime, I'm using this."

"But why would they offer this to you?"

"Because I have to travel a lot, even just around Seiliu, it's easier and quicker to just fly there."

"I get that because why else would you own a plane; I mean why did they let you use the original prototype. I'm sure not everybody who ordered it got the same."

"Of course not. I think being co-owner has its benefit. Would you like one? I'm also considering asking them to make plans for something just a little bigger than this so it would fit our whole family." he asked her like they're talking about buying a shoe from the store.

"Huh, why am I not surprised. And no, I'm okay, thank you we don't need multiple planes between us."

"We'll see." He said but, just then the attendant came and passed her a glass of orange juice and coffee for Henry.

"Here's the menu for what we have prepared for this trip. Just let me know once you're ready to eat." She said politely and left, going around the plane to offer the others the same.

The door of the plane is already closed. Lina looked around the plane. John and Sam are sitting in front and just behind John is Jenny already sleeping from the looks of it. Opposite them is Wang. All the way to the back of the plane is 3 other security detail of Henry's Lina has seen a few times in the house.

It is just four in the morning in Seiliu on a Friday, they should reach Kulu at eight in the evening local time of Thursday. In Kulu, since most people get up with the sun early in the morning they also sleep early, the streets are already almost empty by seven in the evening and most shops are already closed.

Henry fastened Lina's seatbelt then his, as she drinks her juice and after a few minutes, the pilots announcement came up and not long after, they were up in the air.

"This is safe right?" she asked.

Henry laughed with her question when they were already air borne, "I have been using this plane for a year regularly, so far I'm still alive."

"Okay, good." Lina relaxed and pulled her blanket closer, still feeling cold. Henry reached out and touched her forehead, his eyebrows pulled together in concentration and concern as he tried to feel her temperature. Then he moved both his hands in her neck.

"You've got a fever." He said with worry in his eyes.

"Don't mind that, I catch cold quickly, I will be better by the time we reach Kulu." Lina tried placating her new husband who looks too concerned. Lina has always been easy to catch a fever. When she's tired or when she's exposed to the cold for some time, her temperature rises for a bit but it doesn't bother her. And it goes away quickly enough and without remaining issues.

"It's because of your dress last night, and you kept refusing my jacket." Henry accused her. He did try countless times to give his suit jacket to her whenever he felt that her shoulders and arms were cold but she didn't want to cover her dress. He would just slowly rub her arms and shoulders with his hands to try and warm her up.

"If all goes well between you and I, then I only get to wear a wedding dress once. Why would I want to cover it."

Not wanting to argue anymore, "Lay down and sleep then. And yes, you only get to have one wedding in your life, I told you not to talk like that." Henry said as he pressed the button to lay down the seat she was in until it was fully reclined. He grabbed the pillow from the vacant seat beside him and gave it to her. "Rest now."

With the soft lull of the plane and the short sleep she had this morning, sleep sounded so good at that time so she did.
