CHAPTER FOUR
Early in the morning Serena left her friend's house and went to the office. On getting to her office she saw someone that ran very fast like a flash , the person was wearing black , the person quickly ran inside the elevator. Serena was surprised to see her boss coming from the direction the person was coming from. "Why is the boss also dressed in all black" she said to herself.
As Serena continued to wonder about the mysterious person in black, she noticed that her boss seemed preoccupied, almost agitated. He was moving with purpose, his gaze fixed straight ahead. Something was clearly up, but she had no idea what it could be.
As they both entered the elevator, the tension in the air was palpable. "Morning, Serena," her boss said, his voice tight. "Morning, sir," she replied, trying to sound as normal as possible. The elevator doors closed, and the two of them stood in silence. It was as if the very air around them was charged with electricity.

Serena couldn't shake the feeling that her boss knew something she didn't. He had been so distracted, and he was clearly tense. Could he be involved with the person in black, and the strange incident in the hallway? What was going on?
As the elevator came to a stop, the doors opened, and Serena's boss strode out, not even glancing back. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and followed him out into the office.
The office was bustling with activity, but her boss seemed oblivious to it all. He walked straight to his office, closing the door behind him.
As Serena watched her boss disappear behind the closed door, she felt a sense of unease. Something was clearly amiss, and she needed to find out what it was. She walked over to her desk, trying to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering back to the mysterious person in black, and her boss's strange behavior.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and walked over to her boss's office door. Before she could knock, she heard raised voices coming from inside. She couldn't make out the words, but it was clear that there was an argument going on.
Serena pressed her ear to the door, straining to hear what was being said. Suddenly, she heard her boss say, "We need to cover this up, or else the company's reputation will be ruined!" His voice was high-pitched and frantic.
"But what about the person who saw it happen?" came the reply, from a voice Serena didn't recognize. "They can't be allowed to talk!" her boss yelled. "We need to make sure they never speak of this again!"
Serena's heart was pounding in her chest. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Were they
As Serena stood there, frozen in shock, she heard footsteps approaching the door. Before she could move, the door opened, revealing her boss's personal assistant. "What are you doing here?" the assistant demanded. "You shouldn't be eavesdropping on Mr. Thompson's conversations!"
Serena felt a wave of panic wash over her. She tried to speak, but the words got caught in her throat. The assistant's eyes narrowed. "I think you should go back to your desk," they said, their voice low and threatening.
Serena
Serena turned and fled back to her desk, her mind racing. What had she just heard? Were they planning to harm someone? And if so, who? She felt sick to her stomach as she sat down and tried to focus on her work. But she couldn't stop thinking about what she had heard. Something was very wrong, and she needed to do something about it. But what?
She looked around the office, trying to come up with a plan. She saw her boss's assistant talking to another co-worker, and she wondered if they knew anything. Should she ask them? No, that would be too risky.
Serena tried to focus on her work, but she couldn't stop thinking about the conversation she had overheard. She was terrified of facing her boss, but she knew she had to do something. She couldn't just let this go. Finally, she decided to take a risk. She got up from her desk and walked to the break room.
When she got there, she found her boss's assistant sitting at the table, drinking a cup of coffee. They looked up as she entered the room. "Can I help you?" they asked, their voice neutral.
Serena took a deep breath. "I just wanted to
"I just wanted to make sure everything is okay with Mr. Damian," Serena said, hoping her voice sounded calm and professional. "He seemed very upset earlier."
The assistant gave her a strange look. "I'm not sure what you're talking about," they said. "Mr. Damian is fine. He's just been under a lot of stress lately."
Serena could tell they were lying, and she felt a surge of anger. How could they deny what she had heard? She took another deep breath, trying to stay calm. "I'm not sure I believe you," she said, her voice shaking.
" I don't care if you believe or not , as you can see am in the middle of something , kindly take your leave" The assistance, Bruce, said facing his laptop he was pressing earlier before she came . Serena walk out gently still not satisfied her curiosity.
She went to her office to do her work.
