ARGUMENT BETWEEN BRUCE GIRLFRIEND AND EMILY
CHAPTER ELEVEN
The following week, Damian and Andrew arrived at Bruce's office for their follow-up meeting. They were greeted by Bruce, who was eager to continue the conversation where they had left off. After getting settled in, they started talking about the different marketing channels they had discussed.
As the discussion continued, they realized that social media would be a great way to reach their target market. They decided to focus on creating a strong social media presence, with a particular emphasis on Instagram. They brainstormed ideas for content and strategies for building an engaged following.
As the conversation continued, Bruce mentioned that there was a dinner party coming up that could be a great opportunity for Damian. It was being hosted by one of the investors of a major wine company, and many influential people would be in attendance. Bruce thought it would be the perfect place for Damian to network and make some valuable connections.
Damian was intrigued by the idea, and he asked Bruce if he could attend the dinner party. Bruce said he would be happy to make the introduction and put in a good word for him. With that settled, they continued discussing their marketing strategy for the new wine company.
As the three of them were deep in discussion, the office door suddenly flew open with a bang. In walked Bruce's girlfriend, who stormed into the room with a fierce expression on her face. She was followed closely by Emily, Bruce's personal assistant, who looked just as angry.
"What's going on here?" Bruce asked, shocked by the sudden intrusion. "Why are you two shouting?"
His girlfriend glared at him, her eyes full of rage. "You know exactly what this is about!" she spat, her voice trembling with anger. "You've been seeing her behind my back!"
Before Emily could respond, Bruce jumped in, trying to defuse the situation. "Now, let's all calm down and talk about this like adults," he said, holding up his hands in a gesture of peace. "I'm sure there's been some sort of misunderstanding here."
"Oh, there's been a misunderstanding alright," his girlfriend shot back, her eyes flashing. "You've been playing me for a fool, and I'm not going to stand for it anymore!"
Emily looked at Bruce, her face flushed with embarrassment. "Sir, I can explain," she began, but his girlfriend cut in "You don't have to explain anything," his girlfriend snapped, interrupting Emily before she could get a word out. "We all know what's been going on here. You've been having an affair with him behind my back, and I'm not going to stand for it."
"Now, let's all just take a deep breath and discuss this like civilized people," Bruce said, trying to remain calm. "I'm sure there's been some sort of misunderstanding."
"No, there's been no misunderstanding," his girlfriend replied, her voice rising in volume. "You've been lying to both of us "
"Jane, I understand that you're upset," Bruce said, addressing his girlfriend by name. "But please let me explain. I'm not having an affair with Emily. She's my personal assistant, and she's only ever been that. I would never betray you like that."
"You're such a liar!" Jane said, her voice trembling with emotion. "I trusted you, and you betrayed me! How could you do this to me?"
Emily watched the exchange in silence, feeling increasingly uncomfortable thinking if he was telling Jane the truth.
"Jane, I'm not trying to manipulate you," Bruce said, looking her straight in the eye. "I'm trying to be honest with you, and I want to make things right. But you need to let me speak."
Jane took a deep breath, her chest heaving with emotion. She looked at Bruce for a long moment, her eyes welling up with tears. Finally, she said, "Alright, I'll let you speak , but I need you to be honest with me."
"I promise to be honest with you," Bruce said, his voice low and steady. "I'll tell you everything,"I know that I can't make up for what I've done," Bruce continued. "But I want you to know that I never meant to hurt you. I understand if you don't want to see me again, but I hope you'll give me a chance to apologize in person. Can we meet for coffee tomorrow?"
Jane was silent for a moment, considering his request. She still felt betrayed, but she couldn't deny that she was curious to hear what he had to say. "Okay," she said finally. "I'll meet you for coffee tomorrow."Jane leave immediately, her heels resounding on the floor while going out.
"Thank you," Bruce said, a look of relief and noticed Emily still standing "don't worry, you can go back to your office"he said and Emily go out .
