CHAPTER 1

The warming rays of the sun slowly peeked through the window and into my room. As every morning begins, I am awakened by these beams of light shining on my face. As I sat up, I looked out my bedroom window. The atmosphere is very peaceful. There is no noise or sound. The air is pure and fresh. I watched the sun climb higher into the sky. But the higher it got the less time I realized I had to train.

I quickly get up from my warm and cosy bed, rushed to the bathroom and changed my outfit. I silently made my way downwards to the kitchen and drank a glass of water and went out of the house. After I came out of the house, I transformed and ran into the Hissing Forest.

The dew-covered forest floor oozes itself between my toes as I try to absorb every ravishing detail of the forest. The rising sun sets its glowing array of colour, and the birds, high above in the crowed of trees generate a beautiful melody for the atmosphere. Drawing in a deep breath, I analyze each scent, aroma and fragrance of the woods I've encircled myself in, each odour bringing me into a more engrossed tranquillity.

I ran into the forest very fastly unleashing my inner wolf, I can feel my inner wolf getting exhilarated, and we ran past our training spot, today I decided not to train, for today I wanted to explore this forest. I ran and came across a waterfall. It looked like spilling a large sheet of blue water into the pond below. The pond had stones, pebbles and fish. The flowers growing nearby had a honey-sweet smell. I decided to sit there for a few minutes to catch my breath and calm down. I was so exhausted from running so I decided to close my eyes and take a nap there on the rock which was near the pond.

Just when I was about to close my eyes, I sensed an unfamiliar smell, I was instantly drawn to it, it was the fragrance of warm musk blended with patchouli, spiced woods, leather and powdery vanilla.

Just when I was about to get up, my inner wolf yelped with joy, she purred, just then only I realised "Mate" I told to myself and started going towards the smell, I ran through the forest, the smell was coming from the other side of the waterfall, but when I neared the waterfall the smell disappeared, I grunted due to the loss of smell and returned to the stone, my inner wolf was disappointed, even I was " if we have sensed their smell, they could have sensed ours too, then why the hell they ran away"?! my inner wolf asked me. " Maybe they didn't like us," I told. Shut up, Ida, It's not like that" my inner wolf told me, which I found funny, there was no reason for her to be angry, "My dear baby, we still have 2 days to go for my birthday, even if he disappeared now, he should relieve himself to me on my birthday, so we have to just wait patiently, he will come to us, now c'mon we're getting late let's go" I told and ran back to my home.
