Chapter 52: Deadly Anger
Haruto reluctantly shook his head and looked up at the night sky before taking a deep breath and choosing to go back to sleep.
Because tomorrow morning, Haruto would attend the welcoming event for new students and see if any of them looked like the main characters from a cliché fantasy novel he often read.
However, Haruto, or rather the previous owner of his body, looked more like a third-class villain often found in fantasy novels. But now, with him taking over the previous owner's body, he resembled more of a male protagonist from a second fantasy novel.
"Some of you surely understand what I'm saying, if not, then you're just plain stupid."
"Hahaha... Sorry, I was joking, but honestly, I really look like the male protagonist from a novel within the actual novel."
"Complicated? Well, yeah, to be honest, it's quite difficult to explain, but what can I do? This is the real world I'm in now."
"Anyway, I'm going to sleep now and welcome the morning with a happy state of mind!" Haruto thought with a wide smile.

In a vast place with no buildings around, a group of people were looking at the wide courtyard.
"Who...? I'm asking who did this! Was it the City Government? Apocalypse Walkers? Or the Black Market Managers! Tell me! Who destroyed this headquarters!" said a man dressed in all black, with a cloak and fabric covering his body, face, and head, leaving only his visible eyes.
"...Lord Arde... We... we don't know who they are, but what we do know is that they were all dressed in black."
"We also don't know their true identities, but what we found out is that they have the ability to explode into smoke and disappear when killed. That's all we managed to find..." said one of the men, his face lowered, stuttering.
"So, you're saying a group of strange people in black came and killed all the guards and leveled the building."

"Yes... yes."
"Good, you've provided useful information. As a reward, you deserve to die, you bastard!" Right after Arde said that, the man who had given the information suddenly had his head explode and died on the spot.
Seeing this, the other men became extremely shocked and frightened, unable to hold themselves back, and eventually fell down due to their legs being unable to withstand the extreme fear.
"What about our research subject? Is he safe?" Arde then asked someone.
"Lords... The subject... has disappeared..."
"...I see, so you're telling me that the important subject in the research I've been studying for a long time has disappeared? Is that right? Great! You all deserve to die!" Instantly, various heads exploded, creating a rain of blood everywhere.
"Although I understand your frustration, right now the most important thing is to gather information about this group of people. We have been monitoring various individuals for a long time."
"But this time, we have completely failed to gather information about this dangerous group of people while we were out for a sacrifice." said a man in a black suit, who was in the darkness observing everything that had just happened.
