HAZEL EYES

"Welcome to your new home my dear. It's not much but I promise to make sure you lack nothing. I love you so much my little one". Lexine was having a blast of emotions. They were home, finally. The little one was sleeping peacefully. She seems to be part of the sleeping gang. (Lol).

The house was quiet. It was a chamber and hall self-contained with toilet and a bathroom with a kitchen spacious enough for one person. The bedroom was painted a dark blue with intrinsic designs on the walls which were done in white and a bit of purple. There was one design however which was weird, a bit scary but at the same time beautiful that you couldn't take your eyes of it. It was done on the wall at both sides of the bed. The ceiling was painted white with a ceiling fan in place.

The hall was painted turquoise with butterfly and dove designs on two side of the walls. There was a mini television and a ceiling fan. A wall clock, a sofa and a wooden center table.

In all the house was cozy and just perfect for both mother and daughter. Lexine placed Tara on the bed as she was fast asleep and went to take a quick shower, after, she fixed herself a meal and went to lie down with baby Tara. As if noticing her mother's presence Tara opened her eyes. Her hazel eyes shown. They were absolutely beautiful and so clear. Lexine was mesmerized.

Tara looked around the room then at her mother. She stared at her with a strong gaze unlike that of a baby which surprised Lexine. She didn't think that was a normal trait of a baby just a day old. Yet even with that strong gaze Tara looked beautiful. She looked just like Lexine. She had her nose, mouth and hair. The only difference were her hazel eyes. Lexine had brown eyes.

It felt like a dream. Perhaps the thrill and excitement of being a new mother made everything feel like a distant memory. Though they were alone, she was at peace everything was peaceful unlike before.

Lexine wanted to put everything behind her. She now had one priority and that was her baby. That was going to be her number one priority.

As she was deep in taught about what to do next, her phone rang. (Caller ID.... Jack)
