CHAPTER THIRTEEN (LOVE IS IN THE AIR)

Avil couldn't get Ramon out of her mind, she smiled at herself as she gets prepared for the night.

"Brother, you have been smiling since you came back, did you hit your head some where? " Ramon's sister Sophia asked,

"I probably did lil sis"

" okay then, MOM, BROTHER RAMON NEEDS TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOS... mmphfunln.. " he closed her mouth by covering it with his palm

" don't mind her mom, she is just fooling around!! " he removes his hand and she giggled at him " bro, do you have a girlfriend? "

" no, I don't.. not yet but we are friends.....for now"

"is that so, that's why you have been smiling, MOM RAMON HAS A GIRLFRIEND" their mom's laughter sounded from the kitchen " is that so, when are we seeing her? " Ramon blushed at her words " mom, she is not my girlfriend, she is a friend " she came to the dining bringing the last dish with her,

" then she is your girlfriend a '𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭' friend is a girlfriend then a '𝘣𝘰𝘺' friend is a boyfriend so when are we seeing your 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 "

" soon,we just recently started became friends so, soon"

Their father soon joined them at the table and after praying he spoke up " so I heard you have a girlfriend Ramon? " he teased him,

"daaadd, stop teasing me" ,

"okay, okay, let's eat, stubborn boy".

THE NEXT DAY,

Ramon and Avil hurriedly prepared for school the next day, " Avil sweetie, are you sick? "

"no mom, am very much healthy, any problem? "

"baby, are you okay, come close let me check your temperature,hmm, you are normal"

"I think Ramon is too ectastic to go to school that he didn't realize today is Saturday"

He pulled off his school attire and kept it back in the wardrobe, " I didn't even collect her number, how stupid" a thought suddenly occurred to him, he brought out his phone and called his friend Victor.

Victor was playing games when his phone rang, he checked the screen and smiled when he saw who called, he paused his game and answered " hey buddy" a rustling sound and the caller answered very enthusiastically "hey Vee, how are you" Victor was surprised by his friend's eagerness,

" do you miss me that much, am fine"

" okay, do you have Avil's phone number? "

"no I don't, why would I? "

"why won't you, she is your neighbor, what if she skips school one day and she was sick, how would you know? "

a minute of silence then an awkward cough, "she.... I... she... we... yes we had a joint assignment to complete but I forgot to have her number"
