Becoming A Researcher!

As he rushed out from the sparing area, he caught sight of Li'er and shouted out to her. "Li'er! Wait for me!"

Hearing that someone was calling her name, she stopped and turned around only to see Tian Feng was running toward her. "What happened?"

"N-nothing happened. I'm going with you too. I want to do research too.

Can...can I?" Tian Feng said as he scratches the back of his head.

"Alright! Why not? Just that normally researcher prefer to be alone lest someone stealing their discovery, why would you want to do it with me?"

"I don't worry about that. You can have anything I have, Li'er. Besides, I don't know much about research so there's nothing you can steal anyway."

"For real? Why?" Li'er asked with a teasing tone.

"No particular reason..." Tian Feng embarrassingly answered her and look away.

Noticing that Li'er was holding her laughter, he know that he had been teased and he got even more embarrassed. However, there's no hint of anger. Only warmth and love could be felt in his heart. This is the good old days.

"Li'er! What about you? Don't you afraid that I'm going to steal your idea?" Tian Feng recovered from his embarrassment and teasingly ask Li'er.

"Hahaha, I know you won't steal it. Actually, I feel that you would even share me one of your ideas if I don't have one."

Shocked by the answer, he smiles wryly. "Why? How do you know that?"

"Instinct." Li'er laughs happily.

Tian Feng stopped talking, women instinct is so scary? She is just a girl and her instinct is already this strong?

Yuki: "hahaha...poor you Feng Feng."

[Yuki, even you want to laugh at me? Hais...]

Soon they arrived at their dormitory.

After discussion, they decided to use Li'er's room. The reason is simple, Li'er's tools are in her room and she doesn't want to move it.

Entering the room, Tian Feng looks around and he saw a lot of strange tools. He assumes they are experiment tools. He couldn't help but feel that a girl room sure is different from a woman room. As the room doesn't have an inner room, he can see everything.

Li'er noticed his gaze but she didn't seem to mind at all. "Tian Feng! What is your idea?"

Tian Feng stop looking around as he looks back at Li'er "My idea?... I want to build a Qi storage device although I don't know how yet. How about you?"

"That's a good idea however it's not gonna be easy to build." Li'er paused for a moment before she continues to talk. "As for me... I want to know more about the different combination of Qi...

Can you... allow me to research on your strange qi? The one you use to injure me earlier."

Tian Feng smiles at her bashful expression. It's not often that one gets to see this kind of shy expression. "Alright!"

Li'er jumps around happily which made Tian Feng sigh helplessly. [A kid is still a kid. No matter how more mature she is to other kid, compared to the real adult, she still a kid.]

Following which, they discuss about how to start their research but it was mostly Tian Feng asking Li'er about the basic of doing research in this world. But Li'er was still very happy because Tian Feng has shared his understanding of various reaction of certain combinations of Qi.

With his knowledge of chemistry, it's not hard to explain her about his electricity Qi. However, he's not sure whether she understands it or not since she doesn't know of electron, proton or the like. If she has some understanding of lightning, it'd be easier.

After one whole day of discussion, he finally gets a rough idea of how to make his Qi storage. [Yuki! Can you help me with my research?]

Yuki: "You need to ask that? Of course, I can but you don't have enough points so NO"

[Why do you need so many points? Do you eat points or something?]

Yuki: "Correct! I eat points."

In the evening, they went for dinner together. Both of them are hungry because they only ate some snack for lunch.

Back into his own room, Tian Feng starts working on his Body Art right away. Last night, he got 10% progress. However, now that he has understood many more things, he expects the progress to be faster.

He works on it the whole night with the assistant of Yuki. Of course, he didn't spend points for this since he only asked the fundamental question. His progress did increase by 15% and now he's at 25% toward the completed version.

He didn't feel happy but feel like this is getting harder and harder. For the following week, he repeated the same routines. During the day, he's going to Li'er room for research, at night he would work on his Body Art.

During this week, his power didn't increase at all because he can't cultivate but he had learned a lot of things. He got to 75% of completion and he also finalized his research. At this moment, he's going to the blacksmith hall go gather materials for a prototype.

Going by the concept of Energy Pill but without extracting attributes combine with the concept of Qi Restoration Pill and the technology of the book from the library, he successfully made a Qi storage device concept.

However, he still has to find a material which can restore Qi back to the body at fast speed while retaining Qi without dissipating.

Li'er didn't come with him since she has different tasks. During the past week, she has fully understood the mystical of electrical Qi and Tian Feng has also taught her Lightning Palm Strike to let her understand the concept more thoroughly.

After hearing about the possible applications of electrical from Tian Feng, she got very excited and decided to study more about the different type of elements in the atmosphere. Right now she's heading to Chemistry Hall to buy some experiment tools.

She needs a better magnifier and Tian Feng has told her about Microscope but there's no microscope here thus she wants to create one.

Tian Feng arrived at Blacksmith hall and he's asking around to find a suitable material. Many weapons can store some energy in them and some can even absorb energy by itself.

After a long while, he comes across a formation stone. Formation stone is used to set up formations, it acts as a medium to connect many other formation stones by absorbing Qi and releasing Qi. However, it does not contain Qi, once the supply stop, Qi will be dissipated.

When Tian Feng saw this, he was excited. [This is it. haha] While the stone can't store Qi, he does not worry about it since he already has a way to contain Qi. Moreover, this stone is a common item so it'll be easier to find, coupled with its fast speed of releasing Qi proved that it's a perfect material for now.

He bought a few stones and went back to test it. When he comes back he met Li'er on the way too.

Both of them didn't say anything as they went into their separated room but by the look of it, she must be getting something good too.

Tian Feng starts to alter the interior flow of the stone using the method used to alter the interior of the book stone.

After a while, a barrier was form surrounding the stone to retain the Qi inside. Before long, a maze-like flow is formed inside the barrier to keep the Qi flowing thus prevent it from dissipating.

"Yay... I did it. hahaha..." Tian Feng was so happy right now. No matter what, the feeling of successfully creating something is always a good feeling.

He tried to store his Qi inside but soon it reached full capacity and after his discussion with Yuki, he came to know that because his Qi is purer and thicker, the amount he can store in the stone is limited. However, if it were a normal cultivator, the amount would be a lot.

He transforms all the stone he bought into Qi Storage Stone and he got 5 of them. He stores his Qi into the second stone and as expected, the capacity of each stone is different. The second stone has a bit bigger capacity.

He didn't continue to store his qi into all of them because he wants Li'er to try. If he wants to store all his Qi, he needs a bigger stone or a better quality stone.

The reason he has chosen to create this was due to the fight from the entrance exam. Back then he had run out of Qi and if elders didn't announce the end of the exam, he would probably be dead already.

Leaving his room, he knocks on Li'er door and soon Li'er voice rang out "Come in!"

Having spent a whole week in her room, he casually enter her room. "Li'er, what are you doing?"

"I'm creating an electrical sword. Why are you looking for me?"

"I want you to test my prototype." He hands over the stone and told her to fill it up with her Qi. She spent a tenth of her Qi to fill one stone. After a while, she restores it back and its speed is okay.

"Wow, you actually did it. When are you planning to go to researching hall?" Li'er asked with sparkling eyes.

"Hehe, I'll help you with your sword first and then we'll go together."
