Chang Wook and Ha Eun walked around the town they walked through the first time they came here. Ha Eun was greeted by people she hadn't seen since then and felt bad she didn't remember their names. Luckily Chang Wook was there to whisper their names before they approached them.
They even stopped by the same man that drew them during the cherry blossom festival. This time they didn't make fun of each other but thought they looked cute together. And they stopped by the flower shop Ha Eun bought flowers at that she back then used to hit Chang Wook with. This time, however, there was no hitting and just feeling nostalgic about that time.
"You hit pretty hard you know?" Chang Wook said. Ha Eun chuckled and nodded, "You were so jealous of Mi Jin back then," Chang Wook added. Ha Eun looked at him shocked.
"You knew?!"
"Nope. Just that, thinking about it now, you were definitely jealous," Chang Wook chuckled. Ha Eun hit him with the flowers. "Hey, I'm jealous too you know." Ha Eun couldn't possibly guess from who. The only man she's ever had a proper conversation of anything other than work was with him.
"Woo Yeon for starters," Chang Wook said. Ha Eun was speechless.
"He was actually jealous of that bastard?" Ha Eun asked herself.
"Before you say anything, it was before I knew he was a piece of shit," Chang Wook said, "Besides, he's pretty handsome."
"Not as handsome as you," Ha Eun said with a smile. That caused Chang Wook's cheeks to redden. Ha Eun chuckled, "Well would you look at that, an embarrassed Chang Wook has appeared. You're not the only one that can tease," she added.
"Anyways, there was also Jin Hyeok," Chang Wook said. Ha Eun was speechless once again. It was true Jin Hyeok was attractive but he was not her type. If anything, he's annoying.
"Wow, at least I had a reason to be jealous. The two of you liked each other way back when. You being jealous of a secretary and a psychopath just doesn't make sense," Ha Eun said.
"Hey, you ended up marrying your secretary," Chang Wook said.
"Yeah, and I'm not planning on marrying anyone else," Ha Eun countered. Which made Chang Wook smile, though he tried to hide it, Ha Eun could tell he was happy by this. "I'm hungry. Let's get something to eat," she added. Chang Wook nodded.
After eating, they made their way back home and Ha Eun suddenly remembered Eun Ha. She hadn't since she got here. "Where's Eun Ha?" she asked.
"Well, since the police weren't getting any leads, mom and dad used their connections and found her relatives," Chang Wook answered, "She should be with them right now."
"Where is she?"
"She's in America. Turns out her father had no idea she existed and he and his parents were ecstatic to get to know her. We talked through video calls, and they seemed like nice people. They flew all the way here to meet her and she decided to go with them to America. She doesn't know them that well so if she wants to come back they'll do as she wishes and send her back to us."
"Why would she come back to us?" Ha Eun asked.
"Well, we were her guardians after all," Chang Wook smiled. It didn't hit Ha Eun until now that they were really taking care of a child as if she was their own. It made Ha Eun kind of sad, she never got to see her again after the incident that lead them to the hospital.
"She told me to tell you, 'This little cretin will be okay, unnie. See you later.'" Chang Wook said. Ha Eun chuckled. She always did call her names and Eun Ha only smiled at her when she did. At this moment Ha Eun couldn't help but feel her chest tighten.
"I guess I'll miss that little cretin," Ha Eun said. Chang Wook hugged her. Chang Wook smiled knowing Ha Eun actually cared more than she let on. Eun Ha knew this as well.
"Well, what shall we do now?" Chang Wook asked her.
"You said I'm on vacation, right? So, anything we want," Ha Eun said.
...…
As the days passed by, Ha Eun and Chang Wook spent the days idly by in his family home. She got to know more about his family. She would cook with Mi Do, go out shopping with Soo Ryun, and talk with Han Soo about business, sharing advice from one CEO to another.
Ha Eun thought back to the first time she came here with Chang Wook. Before it was just to keep appearances, now she is here to get to know her in-laws better.
Chang Wook on the other hand would call Mr. Oh and the two would have a nice conversation over the phone, mostly talking about Ha Eun. Chang Wook managed to learn more about her through him. He even found out that Ha Eun called him father for the first time. Chang Wook couldn't help but feel happy for him and Ha Eun. She had taken a big step in her relationship with her family. Although he knew her relationship with her stepmother and stepsister might never be good. At least she and Mr. Oh managed to get their feelings across.
Jin Hyeok was also spending his time in Chang Wook's home as a guest as well. Mr. Oh even encouraged him to take a short vacation but he was an even bigger workaholic than Ha Eun. Chang Wook would constantly tell him to take a break and not to bother Ha Eun with work.
"We're going to have to go back soon," Chang Wook told Ha Eun as they cuddled on the bed. Ha Eun looked at him shocked. He was the one constantly telling her to take a break and now he was telling her to go back? "I'm sure I have a lot of work piled up," Chang Wook added.
"Don't worry, your secretary, Hong Joo has been taking care of everything. And since Ji Seok has been trying to go out with her, he helps her with her work," Ha Eun said.
"Really? Ji Seok? Interested in Hong Joo?" Chang Wook couldn't believe it. Hong Joo always seemed like the type of girl that was in love with the idea of love but not interested in loving or being loved by someone.
"He's trying very hard," Ha Eun chuckled, "Hong Joo is obviously interested but she's the shy type. She's the type that will only say yes if her life was threatened."
"Well then, I wish him luck," Chang Wook chuckled. "Now that we're talking about our friends, I wonder how Bong Chol is doing? We haven't spoken since that day," Chang Wook said. Ha Eun widened her eyes. She had completely forgotten she had sent Bong Chol to Paraguay and hadn't contacted him since then!
"Oh shit!" Ha Eun said as she got up from the bed and called for Ji Hyeok. Ji Hyeok ran upstairs to meet Ha Eun. The two spoke about something that Chang Wook couldn't quite tell what it was about since they spoke in almost a whisper.
"Did something happen to Bong Chol?" Chang Wook asked. He started to panic thinking that Woo Yeon might have attacked his friend after finding out he was listening in. Ha Eun looked down and took a deep breath which only frightened Chang Wook.
"I kind of sent him to Paraguay and haven't contacted him since," Ha Eun said. Chang Wook tried to stifle a chuckle, "It was for his protection!" Ha Eun added. Chang Wook could imagine Bong Chol now, confused as to what to do and trying to contact Ha Eun but always getting sent to voicemail.
"I also made sure to give him a place to stay as well as some extra money. He's also working at one of our branches so it's not like he's completely alone," Ha Eun said, "Ji Hyeok is calling to have him transferred back," she added. Chang Wook laughed.
"What are you laughing about?" she asked. Chang Wook pulled her into a hug.
"You don't forget meetings or paperwork, but you managed to forget a person," Chang Wook continued to laugh. Ha Eun could only pout.
"I love you so much!" Chang Wook said. Ha Eun's cheeks reddened. He pecked her on the lips which only made Ha Eun want more, "What, do you want more?" he asked her.
Because of her pride, Ha Eun lied but Chang Wook could easily see through her lies, so he leaned down and placed his lips against hers. Slightly parting her lips so he could easily intertwine his tongue with hers. Ha Eun felt his hand go down her back reaching for her ass. She knew if they continued, the beast inside Chang Wook would awaken and she had no intention of doing this in his parent's home so she stopped him before he could do anything else.
"Party pooper," Chang Wook said, pouting.
Ha Eun chuckled, "Not here," she said.
"Then where?" he asked. Ha Eun acted like she was thinking.
"Back home?" she asked in a teasing manner.
"Mom! Dad! Grandma! We're leaving today!" Chang Wook yelled. Ha Eun widened her eyes.
"Finally!" Jin Hyeok yelled from downstairs, "I'll get everything ready."
