Melissa Carter was fascinated by all the magic that Hogwarts brought into her life, as she was born without any knowledge of this magnificent world, so her life growing up was always quite ordinary.
Initially, her family didn't believe it when they received a letter delivered by an owl stating that their daughter had been accepted into a school of Witchcraft. It was only when they received a visit from Professor Minerva McGonagall who demonstrated that magic was real, that her parents granted their permission.
Since arriving at the school, everything had been perfect. Melissa was sorted into Ravenclaw because of her thirst for knowledge and her understanding of the new world she was a part of. The classes were magnificent with the teachers and the friends she was making, even though it was a bit challenging to converse with some people from her house since she was born in the Muggle world. Yet, just by witnessing magic at every moment, her world felt perfect.
Walking through the corridor lost in her thoughts about the classes. 'The class I enjoyed the most was with Professor WinterHeart... I even earned house points' In the Charms class, she stood out among her fellow beginners in magic, which was a significant achievement for the young witch. However, in the other classes she had during this first day, she didn't achieve the success she desired.
Arriving at the door of the Ravenclaw house, like everyone else, she had to answer the riddle to gain passage.
"I have teeth, but I cannot bite with them. What am I?" asked the statue in front of the Ravenclaw door.
Melissa was excited about the question because at that moment she already formulated the answer in her mind.
"A hair comb," she confidently replied, sure that it was correct.
"Correct," confirmed the statue, and the door opened.
Leading the girl to enter the Common Room of her House.
During the remaining hours, Melissa delved into the books she had taken from the library to study the subjects she hadn't done well in during the day. However, as the hours passed, tiredness caught up with her body, and it was time to lie down for the next day to come.
"I'd better go to sleep to do well in tomorrow's classes... Nox," she said, waving her wand and extinguishing the light that illuminated her room.

{ Second day at Hogwarts }
Today, Harry was excited because he would have a class with his great friend Hagrid, who took over the Care of Magical Creatures subject. Despite being a bit clumsy as a half-giant, when it came to magical creatures, he had great expertise.
Ron and Hermione weren't speaking due to their disagreement about the Divination class, where Harry saw a Grim in his tea leaves.
Harry walked silently alongside the two as they descended the lawns towards Hagrid's hut, on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. It wasn't until they identified three very familiar backs ahead that they realized they would be sharing the class with Slytherin students. Draco was talking enthusiastically with Crabbe and Goyle, who were laughing heartily. Harry was almost certain of what the conversation topic was.
Hagrid was already waiting for the students at the cabin door. Wearing a coat made of mole skin, with Fang, the boarhound, at his heels, looking impatient to begin.
"Come on, hurry up!" he said as the students approached. "I've got something great for you today! It's going to be a great lesson! Is everyone here? Alright, then follow me."
For a moment of apprehension, Harry thought Hagrid would take them into the Forbidden Forest; the boy had had enough unpleasant adventures in that place for a lifetime.
Luckily for Harry, after five minutes of walking, Hagrid circled the trees of the forest and now stood in front of a kind of enclosure with nothing around it.
During the class, Malfoy was startled by the book given by Hagrid to everyone, which needed to be petted before being opened.
"Oh, how hilarious," Draco commented. "A truly brilliant idea, giving us books that try to tear our hands off."
"Shut it, Malfoy," Harry warned in defense of his friend, the teacher.
"Alright, then let's continue," Hagrid said sadly because of Draco's comments. "Since you all have the book that talks about magical creatures... I'll go fetch some for you to have a hands-on experience." He moved away towards the forest and disappeared from sight for a few moments.
"This school is getting worse and worse," Draco said aloud. "This buffoon teaching now, my father will hear about this."
"Shut it, Malfoy," Harry repeated.
"Careful, Po... Potter, there's a Dementor behind you," Draco teased Harry about the attack on the train.
"Aaaaaaaah!" yelled Lavender Brown, pointing to the opposite side of the enclosure.
From there emerged Hagrid with a majestic animal, which had the body and hind legs of a horse, but the rest, like the head and forelegs, resembled a gigantic eagle.
"Allow me to introduce Buckbeak, the Hippogriff," announced Hagrid as he brought the creature.

{ Near the Medical Wing }
Nathaniel was walking through the corridors when he heard a great commotion.
"Aaaaaaaaaaah, I'm dying... I'm dying... I'll kill that stupid animal... aaaaaaah, I'm going to die!" Following the tumult, he located Hagrid carrying Draco Malfoy, who was making a huge scene while seeming to hold his arm as if it had been torn off. Following the two was another Slytherin student, Pansy Parkinson, with worried eyes as she looked at Malfoy.
"What's the situation, Hagrid?" Nathaniel questioned as he approached the two to assess the situation.
"Ah, Professor Nathaniel... it was... it was just an accident in my class. I'll take the boy to the medical wing where Madame Pomfrey can treat him," explained the half-giant the situation.
Still in tears, Malfoy protested, "It wasn't an accident... aaaaah... he wanted to kill me. My father will hear about this," threatening Hagrid who was carrying him.
Noticing that the injury to the student's arm didn't seem too severe, Nathaniel sighed a little relieved. "Let's go, I'll accompany you to the infirmary," he suggested.
"Of course, Professor, let's go," Hagrid headed towards the medical wing with Draco in his arms.
Draco didn't stop his commotion through the corridors, and it was already bothering the Charms Professor. "A man is only recognized by the scars he bears from his battles, Malfoy," his cold voice rang in the ears of the young wizard.
In the next moment, Draco paused his commotion for a moment, already imagining how he would boast about the incredible fight he had against that ferocious animal and still managed to survive.
"Madame Pomfrey will heal these cuts in a few minutes, so calm down," Nathaniel continued informing the boy.
'More and more problems find me in this school' he sighed, realizing how his peaceful life had undergone many changes after accepting the job at Hogwarts.
