6. 'Slap'

I had come to know that the people in the class were looking at that finicky Ash, not me, and I got scared for no reason. My mind did not seem so special in studies, I was an average student. I didn't know how much Ash was. I slapped my cheek lightly, "Why am I thinking about him?". "Does that brat know any witchcraft? ugh I'm going to go crazy thinking about him! Crazy boy!, it's only been a few days and why can't I stop thinking about him?" "But I am in college and I should focus on studies, but this Ash." And I started trying to concentrate in my studies.

College was over and I too came out of the gate, I saw that Ash was waiting for someone. I stood there, I felt that now I have to go alone. He came towards me, he leaned towards me And said, "Will you go home alone? Let's hurry. I was waiting for you for a long time. Where were you?" Do all these people have to attack me with a lot of questions at once? But wait he told me that he was waiting for me .... uff- what am I thinking, my mother told him to take care of me.

Or he still feels like I don't remember anything, ways, like last time. I looked at him, he was smiling. Nowadays he smiles a lot. But whatever you say, it looks very cute.

I started to move forward, and started going towards the road,I stopped on the side of the road and waited for the signal to turn red. I did not notice that the chain of my bag was slightly open, some of the pens fell out of it and I bent down to pick them up.

Then suddenly someone pulled me tight and we both fell, I turned and looked, it was not Ash, I looked at the boy confused, "Hey, are you alright? Whatever your name is, Miss?" The boy asked smiling at me.

And then someone pulled me hard towards him and as I turned, he slapped me tightly on the cheek. This time it was Ash. I raised my head and saw him ,I had no idea what was happening, my eyes filled with tears at the sight of Ash. He looked angry. I asked him stammering but loudly "H-.....How did.... y-..youu slap me!? How dare you?!"

Today was my first day in college and on the very first day I could not tolerate such insults.Everyone was looking at me. This time everyone's eyes were on me, but I did not know what was the reason. I grabbed his collar and asked him with anger and tearful eyes, bringing him close to me.

He came closer to me and said, "Ask me why..."

I shouted "Why !?"

Then the other boy said in the middle "Ash buddy, cool down, she is safe now, when I pulled her, that snake fell away with a jerk."

"Snake? What the hell? Snake in my bag? What are you talking about?", I got even more confused?

"How can she be so irresponsible? This girl can't even take care of herself! This girl doesn't even know what's in her bag!",Ash said in anger.

In this he did not stop, he started saying more, "Come on this thing will also be accepted but do you walk in the road like this? Anything will fall in the road, you will pick it up without seeing any vehicle?"

He was worried about me, maybe that's why he said so much that day, and now I was listening to him in silence. But how did that snake get into my bag? Ash tells the truth I am very careless. He was worried about me.

Now Ash grabbed my hand and started taking me with him.

"Hey Ash, can I come with you two too?" The boy smiled at me and Ash. And started coming with us.

My face was understood by his slap, he must have been worried about me, but on the very first day I was slapped, he could have spoken to me in another way too.

"Hello! My name is Sebastian!" The boy said, extending his right hand towards me. I smiled and tried to extend my hand to him, but Ash was holding my hand tightly.I said 'grr' and gestured him to let go of my hand. But he looked at me out of the corner of his eye and ignored me.

"huh-... leave my hand", I said awkwardly.

He simply said "no".

Now I looked at Sebastian, I started feeling a little bad for him.

"Aah! Never mind!" Sebastian said, giving me a genuine smile."What's your name by the way?"

I nodded my head and smiled as best I could, I was feeling a little awkward for her. "I'm Emily, nice to meet you."

"Um... that's a good name."Sebastian.

Ash interrupted me before Sebastian could say anything else. We were standing outside a shop. "What will you eat?"

"huh-? Are you asking me?" Strange boy, he slapped me sometime back and now asking me for food too.
