Prologue

"Where the hell...?"

Liam look around the spacious room. This is not my room. Where am I?

The room was in the color of green and white. When he woke up, he found himself laying in a soft bed.

What's happening? Confused by the sudden

developtment, he tilted his head to the side. I remember myself falling asleep after finishing up to the third volume of <Sword of Justice>.

He was shocked about the sudden email that he received. Especially, since he's a skilled hacker. How in the world they found out about his real email? He doesn't even have friends whom he exchange emails with.

He deleted it immediately but the next day, the same email was sent to him again. This time, he clicked the link out-of-curiosity and tried to track it down. After founding nothing suspicious about the link, he decided to give it a read.

At first, he only wanted to check it ended up reading up to the third volume.

<Sword of Justice>

The main character is a woman named, Lorelei Regine Williams. Her father, Luis Williams is an SS+ rank Hero, ranking 2nd place in World's Hero Ranking. She have all someone could wish. Aside from one thing--

Freedom to become stronger.

Her father forbid her from practicing the sword despite her talent for it. The reason for this is because of his aunt, the 1st in the Hero Ranking. Luis have always been jealous of his sister. Even before, she's always outstanding and because of this, his envy and hatred towards his sister grew every single day. Luis felt a lot of pressure as the first born who couldn't compare to his younger sister.

It become too much that he even began mistreating his daughter because of it. He told Lorelei to never train and that when she turned 18 years old, he'll let her marry to a man from a good family so she just need to stay put until then. Since woman are inferior to man anyway.

However, Lorelei didn't want to. She believes that she's more talented and capable than her brothers. Her mother knowing this didn't like it either. Her parents fight every day until her mother leave the house with her.

Her mother is a B-rank hero. After leaving the Williams Mansion, she work everyday to earn enough money so Lorelei can enter the academy. She joined a mercenary group and that's when Reina, Lorelei's mother met Laura, Lorelei's aunt.

Reina and Laura have good relationship and she invited her over to their house. Laura happened to saw Lorelei practicing in the backyard of the house. They have a training facility but it's small and limit her movements so Lorelei preferred practicing outside since her mother can't afford a big one.

Lorelei's swordmanship was described to be sophisticated, beautiful but also destructive. Laura was in awe, especially because it's self-taught.

When she met Reina, she only want to give some money to Lorelei so she can enter an academy since she awakened her authority but had no expectations. But then. she ended up sponsoring her and let her enter the best school for future heroes.

It was named after the greatest hero known in humanity.

In the academy is where Lorelei met her future companions. Although, her father did everything he can to prevent Lorelei on graduating with the help of his sons.

Lorenzo and Luman Williams.

Lorelei still overcome this and thus, graduate with the 1st rank in the school. That's the Academy arc.

And I think I just got reincarnated inside it. Why you asked? It's because of the thing in front of me.

"Is this the 'system'?"

Liam look towards the floating game interfaced in front of him. He read the contents.

First of all, aside from my first name Liam, the second name 'Austine' and surname 'Terron' aren't his. He's currently G+ rank...

G- rank being the lowest and SSS rank being the highest rank someone can achieved. He can only be a a canon fodder at this rate.

But the thing that's bothering him the most, is the fact that he has two authorities.

[Authority] is like a perk, different from every people. It comes with different skills related to the authority you got and was activated by mana.

"Ah, right...!"

He remember that <Authority> is something connected to one's soul. But then, does that mean that he still have the soul of the previous owner of this body?

Liam gulped when he realized the problem. He patted his chest a few times. He's about to go crazy.

"Haaa..." a deep sigh escaped his lips.

I don't even know what is happening right now. Is this like the novels that I read back in my world? No, maybe this is dream? I mean, he did fell asleep...

Let's sleep again.

He's still inside the bedroom.

Then he pinched his cheeks and when he felt pain, he finally freaked out.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! (*internal screaming)

What am I supposed to do now? How about my original body? Will I be able to come back?

When that question pop up, he instantly calmed down. Do I even want to come back?

He brushed his hair with his right hand before sighing again.

But wait, Terron? I felt like I heard that surnane before. Is it one of the characters?

"What do I do now-- Ack!"

Suddenly, an indescribable pain enveloped his body, especially his head.

"Ugh! Heuk! Ack!"

Liam grabbed his throbbing head. The pain was so strong as if someone's punching his body from the inside.

Thump-! Thump-! Thump-!

His heart thump loudly and he can't clear his mind. A devastated shout rang inside the room. It was heard by two individuals.

Bang-!

The door opened and a couple entered the room. A man on his early-thirties and a woman on her late twenties. The woman have a jet-black hair and green eyes. While the man have a dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Liam! Are you okay?!"

"Liam, my baby!"

He heard two worried voices, but he can't understand their words. Two people entered his vision, a man and a woman. His vision blurred.

"Liam? What happened?!"

"Doctor! Call the doctor!"

The two people started to panic. Liam could feel a light shake in his shoulders and saw the woman cupped his face.

She seems to be saying something but he can't hear her anymore. He also can't see her face properly.

The only thing he could feel is the pain on his whole body. His body twist and he squirmed like a worm. Gritting his teeth, a pained expression was painted in his face.

"..hurt..."

Different visions flashed in his mind making him dizzy. Before he could even figure out what's happening, Liam passed out.

"How is he? I thought you said he's already okay earlier!"

The doctor trembled at the angry voice directed to him. He glanced at the couple in front of him with fear visible in his eyes.

Lian Terron and Henry Terron. Both are A+ rank hero who owned a Four-star guild, Luminous.

"H-he's fine now... and umm... e-earlier--"

"Enough." the doctor flinched at the cold voice who cut him off, it's Henry. Seeing the scared look on the doctor's face, Lian calm down.

"Henry, you're scaring him."

"But--"

"You can go now, doc. Thank you and sorry." Lian gaze at the doctor who bowed 90 degrees to her before running away immediately. She could only sigh as she look at her sulking husband.

Lian kissed him on the lips before speaking.

"Don't be harsh on the doctor. Besides, our son is okay already. He's fine now. Don't worry, okay?" she softly consoled her husband. Soon, Henry sighed and kissed his lovely wife.

"I can't believe this happened before the entrance examination." there was a small frowned on his forehead.

"I know right. Did you already find out who's behind of it?"

Yesterday, his son encountered a group of villains when he's coming back from home after buying some books. They tried to assassinate Liam but fortunately, his eldest son, Anton, arrived on time and rescued Liam.

If not for him, Liam would have died.

"We're already doing an investigation. Pat is leading it so it should be fine."

Patricia is their eldest daughter, who have an authority about gathering information. Anton and Pat graduated already and is currently working in their guild, both being C-rank heroes.

They both turned their heads toward the door. A young girl holding a bunch of stuff toys entered the room.

"Mommy..." her cute voice made the couple smile.

"Hannah, why are you here?"

It's Hannah, the couple's youngest, she's currently 6 years old.

"Why do you have so many toys with you, baby?"

Henry took all of the stuff toys that she's carrying with difficulty.

"For brother. So he can have a good sleep." Hannah softly mumbled making the two smile.

For the young girl, she can only sleep tight when she have her soft and cute teddy bears with her so she thought that it's the same for her brother.

"How thoughtful of our youngest. Then let's give it to brother, okay?"

The three proceed to Liam's bed and arranged the stuff toys beside him. Lian caressed her son's dark brown hair which he got from her husband. Smiling at her son's peaceful face, she kissed him on his forehead.

"Sleep tight, my dear."
