Chapter 2: Clichéd

The sun is rising as the sunlight rays to the window from Awaya's room. Awaya was suffering from the heat of the sunlight and immediately opens his eyes.

"Ah, it's morning now. Well, I need to get up now." Awaya scratched his eyes and he looked at the time.

"What the—it's 7:54 AM already?? Oh fuck, I'm late again!" Awaya quickly changed his uniform and ran downstairs.

"Well, I'm leaving, Mom and Ai." Awaya grabbed the sandwich and he goes to the front to wear his shoes.

"Ara, are you okay with just a sandwich?" Her worriedly asked.

"Yes, I'm fine with just a sandwich." Then Awaya ran outside of his house.

*tap* *tap* *tap*

The sound of footsteps of Awaya as he runs faster. The sun is getting hotter and hotter.

"Damn it! Why am I running with a clichéd moment?" Awaya ran faster than earlier.

Awaya was eating his sandwich while he runs to the sidewalk of the street. His shirt wsa covered by his sweat.

Finally, Awaya reached his school. He looked at the time again thinking of his class.

"Oh no, it's 8:05 already. My teacher is going to fail me this time for sure." Awaya walked to the entrance and he looked at the security guard.

"Hey, Mr. Suzuhara, you're late again? I was just going to close the entrance. It's perfect that you made it in time." The security guard closed the entrance.

"Ah, well then, Mr. Security Guard, I need to go now. See you later." Awaya waved to security guard and the security guard waved back at him.

Awaya is on the hallway of the school, but he can't run in the hallway due to the school's etiquette.

Then he reached his classroom and he slowly opens the door.

*CLATTER*

The teacher and his classmates including Shuu were looking at him. The teacher was very

disappointed at Awaya because he is the only one is late in his class.

"Jeez, Mr. Suzuhara, how will you change that habit of yours? Are you okay with your irregular attendance? It may fail you and go back to the same grade, you know?" The teacher said angrily to Awaya.

"Ah, I'm so sorry, Ms. Yuuka. I just stayed up all night and play video gam—" Awaya quickly covers his mouth.

*Sigh* "Just go to your designated seat, Mr. Suzuhara." Then the teacher continued writing on the white board.

"I'm sorry again, Ms. Yuuka. I will change my habit as I promised." Then he walks slowly to go on his designated seat.

The teacher finished her writing on the white board and she looked to the students for a second time.

"Okay, class. Open your book on page 43." Then the teacher seated.

*flip* *flip*

'...."

"Hahaha. You're late again, Awaya. You never change that habit of yours." Shuu smacked Awaya on his back.

"Jeez, I just stayed up to play all night. It's not my fault though." Awaya turned back and faced the teacher.

The atmosphere in the classroom was very incredibly silent. The teacher and tis classmates were very peaceful for some reason.

"....."

Awaya's thought went back to the 3rd tip that Shuu gave him. He quickly turned to look back gazed at Shuu.

"Hey, Shuu. I was wonderi—Ow!" Awaya suddenly stopped for a moment. He looked at the floor and found a chalk.

"Mr. Suzuhara! What are you doing there? You're too noisy back there. Are you even paying attention to my class?" His teacher said furiously.

"Ah, I'm so sorry, Ms. Yuuka.' Awaya leans back and tried to look down to cover his embarrassment.

After a few minutes, Awaya started to take notes from what his teacher is saying.

*scribble* scribble*

Awaya looks very serious while paying attention to the class.

Shuu throws a crumpled paper to Awaya.

Then he started to think what is written on the crumpled paper.

He picked up the crumpled paper and secretly read it on his desk.

"Remember to keep the 3 tips in your mind. Haha." This is what is writter on the crumpled paper.

Awaya startled and looked at Shuu with a disqgusted face.

"Hey, why are you looking at me like that?" Shuu replied.

"I was just wondering the 3rd tip though." Awaya said.

"Eh? You're really can't get over with that?" Then Shuu suddenly became quiet.

Awaya turned back and listened to his teacher's discussion.

Riiiiiing*

The sound of the bell coming from his school.

"Okay class, the homeroom just ended. Goodbye and see you tomorrow." And his teacher walked out to the classroom.

After their classes, Awaya said Shuu were the only left in their classroom because of their shool duty.

"...…"

The two of them are speechless. They are just cleaning and wiping the windows.

After their duty, they placed the cleaning equipments into the staff's room.

"Well then, Awaya. Let's go home together." Shuu pat his shirt and pants.

Awaya just remembered something that he need to go to the game center to buy a game.

Sigh*

"It's so hot."

Awaya was suffering in heat as he walk slower and slower.

"Man, of all times, why do I need to suffer under the sun when it's spring season." Awaya murmured.

Awaya suddenly found a vending machine and he dashed all the way through it. He bought a canned soda and quickly drinked it.

*gulp* *gulp* *gulp*

"Uwaah, that was refreshing." Awaya said cheerfully.

Then Awaya started to walk to go to the gaming center to buy his game. Then, he finally reached his destination.

Awaya entered the gaming store.

"Ah, welcome, dear customer." The saleslady greeted Awaya.

Awaya look around to find a game that he wants.

"Uhhm, let's see…" Awaya muttered while he looks around.

Awaya walked straight to the JRPG Games. He's still looking around to find what will be the game that will fascinate him. Then he found a basket with a game that catched his attention.

"Hmm, what's this?" Awaya grabbed the game from the basket.

"'World of Valiant Knights'? . This game looks interesting."

Then Awaya read the description of the game.

"Huh? It will teleport you to this world?" Awaya started to think.

"Hmmm…. Well, whatever. I'm going to buy this." Awaya grabbed it and went to the queue from the cashier.

He ready his money to pay for it. Then he's his turn to the cashier.

"Uhm, this will take 3200 yen, sir."

"Uhh… here you go, miss." Then Awaya nonchalantly bought the game.

"Thank you, sir. Come again next time." The saleslady said.

He finally gets out from the gaming center.

He started to walk while he read the description of the game again wondering what in the world was that about.

Awaya reached his house and quickly entered his house. He removed and organized his shoes.

"I'm home." Awaya said as he walks to the living room.

"Ah, Big Brother, welcome back." Ai said while she is reading comics.

"Thanks. So, where's mom?"

"She went to the supermarket to buy some ingredients for our dinner."

"Okay. I'll have to go upstairs now. Tell mom that I will not eat dinner."

"Okay, Big Brother. I got it."

Awaya climbed up the stairs and walked to his room. He locked his door of his room just in case of distraction and annoyance.

Awaya quickly grabbed his game and puts it on his console.

"Man. So this is an open world game? I didn't knew that while reading the game's description." Awaya muttered.

Then Awaya started to play.

*click* *click*

"*yawns* Maybe I'll go to sleep now." Then he turned off his console and quickly looked at the clock.

"Whaa!? 1:3AM!?" Awaya startled as he shouted louder

"Shut up! You noisy neighbor! We are trying to sleep here!" The person in the neighborhood's balcony shouted at Awaya.

"Ahh, I'm sorry!"

Then Awaya lays down on his bed thinking again of Shuu's 3rd tip.

"Ahh, why am I always thinking about this again. I should get over with this as soon as possible."

Then he finally sleeps.

*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*

The sound of an alarm coming from his vibrating phone.

Awaya quickly turned off the alarm from his phone and gets up. He looked at the phone's clock.

"Ohh, it's 6:30AM. I setted the alarm too early."

Awaya walked downstairs then he suddenly sees his little sister and his mom cooking breakfast in the kitchen.

"Ara, good morning, Awaya."

"Good morning, Big Brother. It's pretty unusual to you to get up early on your own." Ai grabbed the toasted garlic bread from the table.

"Ah, well, I have an alarm clock so that I can go to school early without getting late."

"Ara, Awaya. Let's go and eat breakfast now. Come here." His mom gets the plate and put besides Awaya.

*nom* *nom*

His mother was gazing towards Awaya while eating breakfast.

"Say, Awaya…."

Then Awaya quickly looked at his mother with a shocked expression.

"Yes, mom?"

"Did you stayed up all night again? You had an eyebags on your face."

"Yeah, Big Brother. It is really black like you got punched by the bullies."

"Hahaha… This is nothing. Really, it is nothing. There's nothing to worry about." Awaya stands up and grabs his plate to put it on the sink.

Awaya puts his shoes on and said his goodbye to his mother and his little sister.

"Well, I'll be going now."

"Jeez, Big Brother, you're going to leave me behind again?"

"Yeah. Well, I'll be going to now."

Awaya runs like a wind to go to the school.

While Awaya is running, he accidentally bumped a girl from his class.

"Ow!" Awaya screamed.

"Why do I have to run with this clichéd moment everytime I go to school early." Awaya murmured.

After he opened his eyes, he saw a girl from his class in his front.

"Ah, Ms. Futaba, I'm sorry." Then Awaya quickly gets up and helped the girl from his class,

"Ah, no. it's okay. I'm the one who is at fault. I'm the one who will apologize. I'm sorry, Mr. Suzuhara I'm really sorry!" The girl from his class bowed and apologizzed repeatedly.

The girl from his class is Sayori Futaba. A class representative from Awaya's class. She is very smart yet very humble. Wearing a glasses and a braided hair and she is also the one who got the 1st rank at their first semester.

"No, Ms. Futaba. I'm the one who should apologize to you. I ran very fast and didn't see you."

"Ahh, no…." Then Futaba bowed to show her sincere apology.

Awaya moved his hand towards the girl in his class.

"It's okay now. It's my fault to begin with. So, let's get along, okay?" Then Awaya smiled to Futaba and grabbed her hands.

"Okay, Mr. Suzuhara. Let's get along. Let's be friends!" Then Futaba smiled back to Awaya.

*blush*

Awaya turned red all of a sudden because of Futaba's smile. He didn't think that this girl is way too cute than ever before.

"What's wrong, Mr. Suzuhara? You turned red? Do you have a fever or something?"

"Ahhh… uhhm… I don't…" Awaya looked away to Futaba to hide his embarrassment.

Then Awaya suddenly remembered Shuu's 3rd tip.

(Do not fall in love with a girl.)

"That's right... I will never fall in love a girl. I will never let that happen." He muttered.

"What did you say, Mr. Suzuhara? I couldn't catch your wor—"

"Ahhh, that's right, Ms. Futaba. Let's go to the school now. Haha…ha. Well then, See you later at school!" Awaya loss his words and ran and leave behind the girl from his class.

"Mr. Suzuhara…" Hasegawa said with a mild tone.

"Ohh my… This is the first time I talked to Mr. Suzuhara and... I became friends with… Mr. Suzuhara!?" She was very shocked at the moment.

Then she smiled like she's in love with a person. She blushed and popped out in the middle of the sidewalk.

She had a crush on Awaya Suzuhara since elementary. But she couldn't get close to Awaya because she was very embarrassed to talk to Awaya. She often see Awaya because of her duties as a class representative.

"Haaah… Hah…"

Awaya was very exhausted because he ran fast at his best. He looked at his watch"

Hah… 7:19AM… Looks like I made it in time."

Awaya walked towards the entrance. He suddenly remembered that he left Futaba behind. So, he waited her at the entrance.

"What should I do? I became friend with Mr. Suzuhara…" Futaba sighed intensely as she walks strafely.

Futaba is almost near at the entrance of the school.

"Ohh no… What should I d—"

Then she suddenly stops for a while because she saw Awaya standing in front of the school's entrance.

"Hey! Ms. Hasegawa! I waited for you. Let's go together to the classroom."

"Ehh!?" Futaba didn't see Awaya near the entrance because she was thinking deeply.
